The unusual success and rapid growth of the
line is largely due to two factors.
1.
The founders and officers of the O W A T O N N A T O O L CO. are mechanics. Their experience and training was received in the machine shop
and the garage. Every suggestion and request for
a new special tool which is sent to us, is handled by
a member of our firm, who is vitally interested in
making the best tool possible for the j o b .
2. W i t h only a very few exceptions, the tools
that make up the oTc line, are manufactured by us,
in our own factory at Owatonna. In this w^vy, we
control every step in the process of manufacture,
from the purchase of the raw material to the finished
tool.

The organizers of the Owatonna T o o l Company
have long been associated with the tool making industry. The company has achieved a steady growth
and wide experience and has made some of the most
successful tools ever offered to the garage mechanic.
oTc tools are made especially for garage mechanics, by men who know, from years of experience, just
what is required of such tools and how to make them
so that they w i l l stand up under the abuse of shop
work. They have at their disposal the very best of
forging, tempering and heat treating apparatus, and
a modern up-to-date shop. These things together with
exacting and painstaking methods, combine to produce
tools that are outstanding. Each tool is individually
tried and tested before it leaves our factory, which
is added insurance that the oTc tool you buy w i l l give
you faithful and unfailing service.
We have followed a policy of sturdy honesty in
our dealings with our customers, and have built up an
enviable reputation for honesty and fair dealing, and
have assumed a position of leadership in our line, and
are very proud of the record oTc tools have made.

oTc Gear Pullers
Gear Pullers are one of the most necessary and
frequently used pieces of equipment in any garage,
and are indispensible to the man who wishes to do the
best possible work in the shortest possible time.
oTc Gear Pullers are of a new and patented design
which is extremely simple and far more efficient than
any other puller made. I t has a positive grip which
absolutely prevents the jaws from slipping and injuring the work.
oTc Gear Pullers are adapted to a wide range of
uses and w i l l pull practically all gears, collars, drums,
bearings, etc., usually found in garage or machine shop
practice. Double end jaws on oTc Pullers w i l l be
readily appreciated by mechanics.
oTc Gear Pullers are strictly a hand made tool.
The jaws are hand forged, from chrome vanadium
steel with a tensile strength of 240,000 pounds per
square inch, and are practically unbreakable. The
block is hand forged from a special alloy steel and heat
treated which eliminates any possibility of stripped
threads. The screw is made of a special alloy steel,
hardened and tempered and guaranteed not to strip.
Even the cap screws, which fasten the puller together,
are a heat treated Ferry Process screw.

The cap screw jaw is equipped with a wide thin
hook on one end and a special hook on the other end
for pulling gears that are tapped for cap screws. This
pair of jaws together w i t h the Ford special jaws,
makes a complete puller and w i l l pull practically any
gear, drum, pinion or bearing usually found on automobiles.

Twelve Point Box Wrenches
This set of double end, twelve point box wrenches,
fits practically all commonly used sizes of USS and
SAE bolts and nuts. These wrenches are exceptionally
thin-walled and unbelievably strong. On account of
their unique offset construction, they are adapted to
an unlimited number of uses. These wrenches are

Socket Wrenches
W e believe that we are offering the garage mechanic the most thoroughly practical socket wrench set

The sockets are twelve point, accurately broached
to size, made from Chrome-Vanadium steel and heat
treated.
W e believe that these sockets are thinner
walled and stronger than any other socket made.
The handles are made from Chrome-Vanadium
steel and heat treated, which we believe is a radical
departure in socket wrench construction. The loose
handles have ball thrust and are brass bushed and will

gears on all 1924 and later models.
Fig. 1 shows the split block, which is recessed to
fit into the groove in the gear hub and the groove on
end of shell Fig. 2. Using Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the gear
is quickly removed.

of cam-shaft, place gear in position, put shell, Fig. 2,

Puller (Fig. 1) is screwed into bushing; collar,
(Fig. 4) is slipped on over threaded portion, nut turned against collar which removes bushing.

oTc Screw Drivers are outstandingly the best that
money can buy. The shank is hand forged from the
finest tool steel and extends entirely thru the handle.
The handle is built up from first quality sole leather
washers, which are pressed on over the squared shank
and w i l l never turn or become loose. A n oval steel
button, which is counter-sunk its entire depth is riveted
on to finish the handle, which prevents damaging the
handle when striking with a hammer and also makes
the handle fit the hand perfectly. Has a hexagon steel
ferrule, brazed onto the shank, which permits turning
with a wrench.
Screw drivers are tempered from end to end and
