Abstract
An ATV ride on Hawaii's Big Island is not the wild
rough ride that can be found in other destinations.
Here, it is an incredibly scenic ride over timehonored trails. In ancient Hawaii, royalty used this
very same path to reach their secluded
playground. You'll drive your own ATV through
private ranchlands and lush green pastures to 200foot ocean cliffs overlooking a pebbled beach that was a favorite of King Kamehameha The
Great. Your guides will share the rich stories of this area which is so abundant in history and
Hawaiian culture.
Includes
Round trip transfers, 1.5-hour guided activity, ATV instruction, fully automatic ATV, helmet,
goggles, gloves, bottled water or canned juice, gratuity to guide, and tax
Notes
Wear clothing that can get dirty including long pants to your ankles (no capris). Wear shoes that
completely cover the entire foot (no crocs or sports sandals). You will be given a helmet,
goggles, and gloves to wear on the tour (mandatory). Drivers must bring photo identification
that lists birthdate (mandatory to drive). Leave all valuables at the hotel.
Restrictions
Please be sure to provide your height and weight when prompted while selecting this activity
online. Must be moderately fit without physical challenges. Not for pregnant women, people
with recent surgeries, or people with chronic back/heart/neck problems. Most of the ATVs are
singles but some doubles are available to carry passengers. Drivers carrying a passenger must
be at least age 25 and at least 5'4". Passengers must be at least 5' tall, and weigh 85 to 150
pounds. Combined weight of driver and passenger cannot exceed 350. Solo drivers without
passengers must be between 90 and 300 pounds. All drivers must pass a practice course. This
ride cuts through private property and all ATVs must remain on the trail at all times. Passing,
stunts, and reckless maneuvers are not permitted. Guides have the option to adjust route
without notice to accommodate changes in scenery and weather. This activity operates rain or
shine as long as conditions are safe.

Cattle Drive
Category:
Designed for:
Land
Family
Abstract
In the mid 1800’s, the Hawaiians realized that the cattle
they had been given as gifts from other countries were
running rampant on Hawaii's Big Island. They invited the
most talented Mexican cowboys to come to the wealthy
island kingdom. These cowboys, or "paniolo" (derived
from Espanol), taught the Hawaiians how to capture the
wild beasts on the mountainous terrain, crop their ears,
brand them, and drive them to pasture. Today, Hawaiian
cattle are well bred and well fed but cattle drives are still
used to add variety to their grazing. You'll ride the range
to bring cattle to their fresh pasture just as cowboys have
done for centuries. Located in the emerald uplands of
Waimea at the 3,000-foot elevation, the cool mountain
air will leave you refreshed while you ride. You'll be enlisted to collaborate with a trained horse
and help drive up to 100 head of cattle from one pasture to another. In general, riding
experience is not necessary and you can go at your own pace. Your paniolo guide will provide
instructions and tips on how to get the most fun out of your time on the range!
Includes
Round trip transfers, 2.5 hours of riding time during an actual cattle drive, American Quarter
Horse, boxed lunch (sandwich, chips, fruit, and cookie), bottled water/juice/or soft drink, gratuity
to wrangler/guides, and tax
Notes
Wear long pants, shoes that fully cover the entire foot (no crocs or sports sandals), hat,
sunglasses, and sunscreen. Bring a light jacket. Leave all valuables at your hotel.
Restrictions
Please be sure to provide your height, weight, and sandwich choice (ham, turkey, or veggie)
when prompted while selecting this activity online. Must be moderately fit without physical
challenges. Not for pregnant women, people with recent surgeries, or people with
back/heart/neck/lung/sun sensitivity problems. Must be able to mount and dismount on own.
Must be under 300 pounds. This activity operates rain or shine. This ride is on a working cattle
ranch amidst livestock on uneven terrain. With these conditions in mind, it is suggested that
children under age 12 should have ridden at least six times and be on the athletic, adventurous,
and mature side. Must be at least age 6 and with a parent or legal guardian.

Snorkel & Snuba

Abstract
Snuba was designed to introduce you to breathing
underwater for the first time. A small boat will take a
group of up to 24 winners and guests out into the open
water about 15 minutes offshore. Half the group will start
with snuba while the other half snorkels with a guide. The
snuba group will be tethered to a small raft on the
surface that will hold the scuba tanks. The tether is a 20foot hose that attaches to a harness each person wears.
The instructor outfits everyone with a mask, fins and
weight belt. As a snuba diver, you'll begin with a practice
session on the surface, and from there, YOU decide
when and if you let go of the raft, when you dive down,
and how deep you go. The maximum depth is 20 feet
and your instructor is with you the whole time. Midway,
the snuba and snorkel groups will switch and you'll have
time to snorkel at leisure.

Submarine Dive
Category:
Designed for:

Abstract
Kona is a historical seaside town making it the perfect
springboard for a submarine adventure. Here, you’ll
take a specially designed ferryboat that will transport
you to the dive site 10 minutes offshore. The reef off
Kona is teeming with a wide assortment of beautifully
colored marine animals. For those who would like to
see this spectacular underwater display without
getting wet, there is no better viewing vehicle than a
submarine. You descend to depths of up to 100 feet
below the surface, into another version of paradise –
one hidden even from the people of Hawaii for
centuries. Every seat has its own adjacent 24” window
and the viewing is almost surreal. The submarine is very
comfortable and roomy with plenty of rushing fresh air. Each dive is different and quite often
you'll see large fish cruising in from the ocean depths way off the coast. Discover an 18,000-yearold, 25-acre fringing coral reef boasting a vibrant and thriving ecosystem. An educational
commentary will teach you about this aquatic paradise teeming with exotic fish and precious
black coral as well as the volcanic evolution of the ocean floor. After the dive, you’ll re-board
the ferry and enjoy the beautiful Hawaii Island mountain scenery while cruising back to the
Kailua-Kona pier.
Includes
Round trip transfers, 20-minute round trip ferry ride, 35-minute submarine dive, gratuity, harbor
fees, and tax
Notes
You will be climbing ladders. Walking shorts and comfortable shoes are suggested. Please note
that this tour does not include any drinks, snacks, or meals.
Restrictions
Please be sure to provide your height when prompted while selecting this activity online. Must

Abstract
The waters surrounding the Hawaiian Islands have been declared a sanctuary for the humpback
whale and sightings are common from December through April. Humpbacks travel in pods and
are usually spotted by sight of their tremendous “blow,” their great exhalation when they reach
the surface. They’ll remain on the surface for ten to fifteen minutes, playing, slapping their flukes,
waving their tails, and launching their massive bodies high in the air in a “breach.” Soon, they flip
their tails and “sound,” diving deep into the ocean depths. Throughout your cruise, a whale
talker will interpret the whales' fascinating behavior and share the latest in whale discoveries.
Inclusions for the morning cruises
Round trip transfers, 2-hour cruise with a whale talker, continental breakfast of pastries and
yogurt, standard open bar (local beer on tap, wine, mixed drinks, soft drinks, juices), gratuity,

Abstract
Your adventure begins in a Pinzgauer, a six-wheel-drive Swiss Army vehicle, that will take you up
the North Kohala mountainside for a bumpy, 30-minute off-road safari into the oldest rainforest
on the island. Look carefully, you will probably see wild pigs and wild cows along the way. Then,
you'll hike for about three minutes to the first zipline. This beginner line is designed to get you
warmed up. All the rest get longer and higher! After the second zipline, you'll cross a hand
carved bridge that sits above the beautiful waterfall you'll be zipping over next. Three more
ziplines will take you to our “Mac Nut Hut,” a cantilevered pavilion that overlooks a 32’ waterfall.
Next, you look down upon a beautiful stream full of dancing eddies as you cross a suspension
bridge. The last two ziplines are certain to take your breath away with views of a waterfall, a
lighthouse, and Maui. You'll end the four-hour tour with another off-road safari down the
mountainside while on the lookout for whales playing in the ocean.
Includes
Round trip transfers, off-road ride in Pinzgauers, 3 to 4-hour activity, guided zipline course with 8
runs, all equipment, lunch (sandwich, fruit, nuts, banana cake), bottled water or canned juice,
gratuity, and tax
Notes
Wear long pants or shorts that reach your knees with a sleeved shirt (no tank tops or spaghetti
straps). Wear shoes that completely cover the entire foot (no crocs or sports sandals). Bring a
small back pack, light rain jacket, and a camera. Bottled water and mosquito repellent will be
available as you board the transfer vehicle at your hotel - please remember to take one. Only
apply repellent if needed after you enter the rainforest. The timing for this tour is approximate.
You may return to the hotel a little earlier or later depending on how fast your group moves
through the ziplines.
