The Essure® Procedure for Permanent Birth Control
The Essure® Procedure for Permanent Birth Control The Essure micro-inserts are inserted through the vagina and into the fallopian tubes without incisions. Upon placement, the Essure micro-inserts expand to fit each fallopian tube. This helps to hold the micro-inserts in place while a tissue barrier forms. During the 3 months after the Essure procedure, tissue grows into the Essure micro-inserts to form a natural, permanent barrier. The Essure Confirmation Test is performed after 3 months. Dye is inserted into the uterus and an x-ray is taken to confirm that the tubes are blocked and that reliance on Essure for permanent birth control can begin. your family is complete. your choice is clear.sm ©2008 All rights reserved.
