Ivy Tech has 23 campuses throughout Indiana that serve nearly 200,000 students annually. Ivy Tech also is Indiana’s largest workforce training provider, offering nearly 20,000 certifications and one million hours of training annually. Ivy Tech is governed by a 14-member board of trustees appointed by the governor. Under terms of the legislation, the members represent various economic interests: manufacturing, commerce, labor, agriculture, education, and the public at large. This board appoints the president of the statewide college. In addition, Ivy Tech North Central, like the College’s 14 regions throughout Indiana, has its own seven-member board of trustees, whose members also represent varied interests. Ivy Tech Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Through these efforts, Ivy Tech Richmond is realizing the College’s vision of Changing Lives and Making Indiana Great. Because the region is economically and geographically diverse, the College’s academic and training programs must be equally varied.
