RACQ has focussed on Safer drivers, in Safer vehicles
(ANCAP), on Safer roads (AusRAP)
AusRAP aims to ‘raise public awareness about the
important role that road conditions play in road
safety’
Motorists do not recognise crash risk
- roadside hazard risk (trees, embankments, etc);
- head-on risk; and
- intersection risk.
Together these make up approximately 75% of all rural
highway crashes.
