Founded in Caudry in 1887, the firm of Sophie Hallette, with its
6 Leavers looms, was taken over in 1952 by the Lescroart
family, the third generation of which continues to uphold its
know-how whilst adding a touch of modernity and renown.
A story of passion, punctuated by sparks – the mantilla of
Jackie Kennedy in Life magazine, the dress of Kate Middleton
for her wedding to Prince William - but also, on a more daily
basis, working hand-in-hand with fashion designers from
around the world, and with the young designers who will be the
big names of tomorrow.
