the Drop-and-Pick-Up Game

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 15, 2013) — Does the little guy fling his favorite toy truck? Do you spend a majority of
dinnertime playing the drop and pick-up game with your sweetie? How about a 9-month-old who can chuck
items twice her size?
This week at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas, Iowa-based start-up You and Yours introduces the Lil’ Sidekick™
a safe, simple solution that prevents your child from dropping or throwing items out of reach.
The easy-to-use versatile design will secure any item from a small crayon, bottle or teether to his or her favorite
baby cell phone. Lil’ Sidekick’s simplistic design is safe and allows parents to fasten it to a variety of items such
as high chairs, strollers or an exer-saucer.
“My son is definitely a chucker - I was constantly picking up toy trains or sippy cups from under restaurant tables
or mall floors,” said You and Yours Founder and product inventor, Amy Vohs. “I couldn’t find a product that was
flexible enough to work on a variety of items or was easy to clean, so I came up with the Lil Sidekick.”
The Lil’ Sidekick is BPA-free, made with an innovative FDA-approved rubber that’s dishwasher-safe. The product
is also approved by the U.S. Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety and is completely designed
and manufactured in Iowa.
Any parent or caregiver can relate to the squeals coming from the backseat because a stuffed animal has been
thrown out-of-reach, or witnessed another mom cringe as she hands her daughter a semi-clean teething ring off
the elevator floor. Until now, “bungee-type” car seat or stroller accessories lacked the ability to adjust in size,
oftentimes overwhelmed the item or were made of cloth and tough to clean.
“After my little guy almost broke a car window with his bungee cord sippy cup holder, I decided it was time to
create a better solution,” said Vohs. “I hope parents and caregivers find the Lil’ Sidekick helpful, and the little
