Itisinthemiddleofthisgreatseason—thisgreatseasonwherewecelebratetheworkofJesusatthe
Cross,hisdeath,passion,andresurrection—thatwesendthisnewsletter.Werecognizethatitisonlydue
towhatJesushasaccomplishedforusatthecrossnearly2,000yearsagothatwecanliveinfaithandhelp
otherstodoso.
So far in 2016, we have been fully
engage with the Equipo Impacto
ministry.Duetothemajorgrowthwe
haveexperiencedinthelastyear,we
havecallednewpastorsalongsideus
to help expand the vision and the
workofEquipoImpacto.Lastmonth,
for example, we gathered eight
pastorstohelpthemintheircapacity
for teaching and instructing at our
workshops. The hope is that these
pastors,whoalreadysharethesame
vision and passion we have for
training leaders and pastors on how
tohandletheWordofGod,couldgo
and lead workshops all around the
island.WearethankfulforRobertKinneyforcomingalongsideandhelpingtrainthesepastors.
In2016,sofar,wehavebeenabletoruntwoworkshops.First,wewenttotheverywestofCuba,toLas
MartinasinthePinardelRíoprovince.There,awonderfulmovementofchurchplantingisgoingon.We
had the opportunity to equip a group of 14 pastors and leaders there on how to handle the Epistles,
focusingon2Timothy.
Second,wealsohostedaworkshopinthefirst
week of March on how to preach from Old
Testament Narrative. We went to Varadero,
wherewemetwithmorethan30pastorsfrom
differentpartsoftheIsland.Forhalfofthem,
it was their first time to a workshop on
expositional preaching. Importantly, they
came from six different evangelical
backgrounds/denominations. Robert Kinney
alsojoinedusforthisworkshop.Wearevery
encouraged on how they engage with
expositorypreachingandtheworkshop.
Finally,earlierthisyearstartedourResidentialTrainingCourse.Whilethisisanewinitiativeforus,ithas
alwaysbeenpartofourvision.Now,itisareality!Westartedwithfourstudents,meetingforformal
trainingonMondays,butalsoworkingwitheachparticipantthroughouttheweek.Asthisisachurchbasedprogram(hostedbyNuevaVidaChurch),wealsomentorthestudentsandprovidethemwithreal
ministryexperiences.Weareaiminghere,totrainanewgenerationofgospelworkers.

1. ForGodtostrengthsournewinstructorsastheygoandleadworkshopsallaroundtheisland.
2. ForGodtouseournewResidentialTrainingCoursetotrainanewgenerationofgospelworkers
whocanbesentouttospreadthegospel.
3. FortheupcomingBoardmeetinginApril.MayGodleadsusinwisdomtorightdecisionsinorder
tomoveforwardtotheworkGodhasplaceinfrontofus.
4. ForAlexisasheisworkinginfinishinghisdegreeatSBTS.
5. FortheupcomingworkshopsinConsolacióndelSur,LaHabana,andMiasí.
