On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the Gaumont cinema
production company, the association Alliance française de Venise has
organized a gala reception at the Villa Rotonda, a jewel of Palladian
architecture in Vicenza.
The reception will be held in the gardens of the Villa, followed by a screening
of the film Don Giovanni (Joseph Losey’s adaptation of Mozart’s opera), on the
very premises where this Gaumont cult classic was shot. Prominent figures
from the world of cinema and opera will be present. The interiors of the
Rotonda will be open exceptionally for our guests.
Other events which will be held in Venice in the same period are:
Casino Venier, September 10: opening event for the exhibition of the
most memorable bills of the Gaumont films.
Teatrino du Palazzo Grassi, September 12 et 13: seats will be
reserved for those participating at the gala at the screening of classic films
selected from the Gaumont catalogue, as well as for a film accompanied
by a concert.
Venice Film Festival: seats available for the screening of the film Le
beau Serge by Claude Chabrol, in the restored Gaumont version.
In September Venice also offers the Biennale of contemporary art and
Tosca at the Fenice Theatre.

Dress code: formal
Parking guaranteed for private cars or private shuttle service from Venice.
Table for 10 people: from 5000 Euros, inclusive of sponsorship logo
on all communication platforms, for two years (2015 and 2016), on the
Alliance website.
Single participants: 300 Euros and 500 Euros for couples.
Reservations must be submitted before June 30, 2015.
