Mayor’s Message
David Smith
Mayor
The services provided by
Friendswood’s City Government
extends beyond the brick and
mortar of infrastructure and
speaks to the quality of life we,
as a community, so profoundly
extole. Through the Community
Services Department, we carry on
our local heritage and traditions:
July Fourth, Memorial Day
celebrations, sports programs,
concerts and movies in the park,
kid fish and many more.
A visit to our public library or
to Renwick (our Little League
Baseball Parks) would provide
fine examples of how our
City Staff work together with
volunteers to bring exemplary
services to our citizens.
If you are looking for a way
to keep your mind and/or body
active, choices abound within our
Community Services Department.
The skilled staff members are
waiting to serve you.
Get engaged, get active, get
excited about Friendswood.

“The Sounds of Freedom”
The Fourth of July Steering Committee and the City of Friendswood would like to invite you to

conclusion of the parade, and are scheduled to conclude at approximately 3:30 p.m.
The Evening Program, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will be held at Centennial Park. This year’s program

does it all!! The evening will conclude with a fantastic fireworks extravaganza that will light up the
