Ohne Rauch- und Wärmeabzug sammelt sich toxischer Brandrauch
im Gebäude. Dies birgt ein extrem hohes Gefahrenpotenzial.

Without smoke and heat ventilation, toxic smoke collects in the
building. This poses an extremely high potential risk.

“Mit” Rauch- und Wärmeabzug (RWA)
Beim Rauch- und Wärmeabzug wird der thermische Auftrieb
genutzt – durch Zuluftöffnungen im unteren Wandbereich und
Abluftöffnungen im oberen Wand- oder Deckenbereich wird der
Rauch in einer stabilen Rauchschichtgrenze oberhalb des Aufenthaltsbereiches des Menschen gebunden. Dadurch werden Evakuierungswege frei gehalten.

“With” smoke and heat ventilation (SHEV)
Smoke and heat ventilation makes use of thermal elevator – inlet
vents in the lower wall area and exhaust vents in the upper wall
or ceiling area allow the smoke to be limited to a stable smoke
layer above the areas occupied by people. This keeps evacuation
routes clear.
