BACKGROUND Fact Sheet In 2007, Alabama-based Rush Of Fools helped introduce a new genre of worship music and a trend called Progressive Worship. Not only did they successfully do that with their own music, but you can see that phrase in marketing plans every week for new acts entering into the scene every day. The band’s self-titled debut exploded at radio producing the Radio and Records 2007 Song of the Year with “Undo.” The record was also the 2nd best selling new artist release of the year, and garnered 4 Dove Award nominations. Rush of Fools is well on the way to becoming a commonly recognized household name in the CCM industry. Their sophomore release produced by Jason Ingram, Rusty Varenkamp and Scott Davis will pick up and expand the future career highlights for Rush Of Fools. Much like their debut release, Wonder Of The World’s passionate lyrics and contemporary, hooky melodies will provide the musical landscape for 2008 and 2009 at radio, retail and touring. “We always put our hearts and souls into the lyrics, because if we’re going to be writing songs about God, they better be true, they better be good, and they better be honest,” Kevin Huguley says. “It’s that creativity in our lyrics and now our music as well that shows where our progress has been. We strived hard to not shy away from the tough lyrics about our own sins and struggles. But now we’ve created this new version of our own band because there’s a new musicality to it.” “It doesn’t matter what aspect of life you’re working on, you always have to learn how to recreate something,” Wes Willis says. “You always have to learn how to grow and change, and from a musical aspect, that’s definitely what we’ve done with this album. There was a lot of growth, I think, but not too far away from worship, because that’s who we are.” DISCOGRAPHY Wonder Of The World (September 16, 2008) Rush Of Fools (May 8, 2007) HIGHLIGHTS ASCAP Song of the Year Award for “Undo” (April 2008) Radio & Records AC Song of the Year Award for “Undo” (December 2007) “Undo” featured song on WOW 2008 CD RADIO SINGLES “Undo” – Peaked at #1 Christian AC (7 weeks) “Peace Be Still” – Peaked at #1 Christian Inspirational (3 weeks) “When Our Hearts Sing” - Peaked at #7 Christian AC “We All” – Peaked at #13 Christian CHR “Can’t Get Away” – Peaked at #15 Christian AC TELEVISION APPEARANCES The 700 Club The Hour Of Power TBN – JCTV LeSea Broadcasting – “Studio B” & “Harvest Show” Gospel Music Channel AWARDS 2008 GMA Dove Award Nominations Song of the Year (“Undo”) Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year (“Undo”) Pop/Contemporary Recorded Album of the Year (“Rush Of Fools”) New Artist of the Year 2007 Telly Awards Commercial Online Media Promotion - 28th annual Telly Awards (June 2007) TOURING HISTORY “World On Fire” tour with By The Tree & The Turning (Spring 2007) “Better Questions” tour with Todd Agnew & Joy Whitlock (Fall 2007) “Go” Tour with Newsboys (Spring 2008) Disney’s “Night Of Joy” Concert (September 2008) “What Would Life Be Like” tour with Big Daddy Weave (Fall 2008)
