The money raised throughout this online event will be used to help us
all reach our goal toward raising $1.2M to bridge the funding gap
between what our children’s exemplary education costs and what the
Larkspur-Corte Madera School District receives from Local, State, and
Federal revenue sources.

What the Foundation achieves every year couldn’t be

Clif Family Winery - Zinfandel & Gewurtztraminer
Two wonderful wines from Clif Family Winery that
are perfect for any occasion.
Gewurtztraminer (2014) was fermented to dryness
and aged in 100% stainless steel to preserve the
fruit character and crisp acidity of the wine. This
floral odyssey yields aromas of honeysuckle and sweet tea, peach and anise. While
tastes of yellow grapefruit arise into a creamy mid-palate of lime zest and white
pepper spice.
Gary’s Improv Zinfandel (2011) was harvested early in the morning on October 26th.
It was destemmed, stainless steel fermented to dryness and then pressed and
racked to barrels. The wine was aged for 24 months in 25% New French Oak, 25%
Once Used French Oak and 50% Neutral Oak. This wine has aromas of cedar,
blackberry and vanilla combine with flavors of chocolate raspberry, dark cherry,
currant and cardamom and a pie spice finish. The 2011 vintage exhibits the classic
traits of Howell Mountain Zinfandel – fine tannin structure, silky mouth feel and a
complex and lingering finish.

packed and plump, with a breadth of texture that
belies its modest alcohol level. Boasts excellent red
berry energy and sap; there’s a crushed fruit quality
here that reminded me of Chambolle. The long,
rising finish is sweet but quite firm, with plenty of
fruit tannins to support the 100% new oak
treatment.
