Franklin
Graham
is
holding prayer rallies in each
state to encourage people to
pray for the nation to turn
back to God and to live out
their faith at home, in public
and at the ballot box.
So far this year, Franklin
Graham has visited four
states along the tour and has
three more coming up in
February—South Carolina
(Feb. 9), Georgia (Feb. 10)
and Hawaii (Feb. 24).
“When I think of what my
children and grandchildren
are facing today, I realize that
if we don’t get involved now,
it may be too late.”

Just a few months after
Franklin Graham made that
comment last fall, he was on
his way to Des Moines, Iowa,
to begin his 50-state Decision America Tour, calling Christians
around the country to pray for their nation and live out their
faith.
Why?
“The moral and political walls of our nation are crumbling,”
Franklin Graham said earlier this month. “Our nation is in
trouble. And there’s not one political party that can fix it.”
Over 11,700 people
have come out to be part of
the prayer rallies in Iowa,
Tallahassee, Baton Rouge
and New Hampshire as the
tour continues gaining momentum. The gatherings hinge on
God’s words in 2 Chronicles 7:14:
“If my people who are called by my name humble
themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their
wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their
sin and heal their land.”
Some who have attended the rallies say it’s time for

What a blessing to be with Saeed on Sunday
February 14, 2016 after all these three plus long
years of waiting for his release! I praise GOD for
this answered prayer.
Saeed appeared malnourished and weak. After
being in captivity and having experienced frequent
beatings and psychological torture, a very significant
toll has been exacted upon his health. I had been with
Saeed privately just before he left for Iran over three
years ago and to me, the before and after experience
visiting with him is very marked. And the battle is not
over. Please keep praying for restoration of Saeed’s
family.

65th Annual National Day of Prayer Thursday - May 5, 2016
Edited from source: www.nationaldayofprayer.org
Theme and Verse
The 65th annual
National Day of
Prayer, May 5, 2016,
will have profound
significance
for
our country. It is
an
unprecedented
opportunity to see
the Lord’s healing
and renewing power
made manifest as we call on citizens to humbly come
before His throne.
Our theme for 2016 is Wake Up America,
emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately
and individually, to return to the God of Fathers in
reverence for His Holy Name. To further highlight
our theme, we’ve chosen Isaiah 58:1a as our Scripture
for this year: “Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise
your voice like a trumpet.”
For the May 5th observances, Dr. Tony Evans,
the 2016 Honorary Chairman, wrote a special prayer
to be simultaneously read throughout the nation at
noon (ET). This recitation will create a huge wave of
prayer, flowing from one coast to the other, illustrating
the unity of God’s people and acknowledging His
dominion over the circumstances facing us. Millions
of people will gather to pray at thousands of events
facilitated by our volunteer coordinators and people
just like you! We hope you’ll join with our staff again
as we seek to bring more communities than ever
before together in prayer. As a way of assisting you,
we have assembled a variety of resources that equip
you to organize and publicize prayer gatherings,
citywide prayer breakfasts, worship services, and
rallies. These materials also present creative ideas
geared toward helping individuals and families to
establish meaningful devotional times. If you have
any questions after reviewing these items, please
don’t hesitate to contact our NDP staff at (800) 4448828. We would count it a privilege to lend a hand in
whatever manner we are able.
At this crucial time for our nation, we can do
nothing more important than pray. Thank you in
advance for making this spiritual discipline a personal
priority and for standing with us as we encourage
others to incorporate prayer in their lives. The Lord
has graciously anointed our efforts, empowering them
to touch and change many hearts and lives. We look
forward to seeing His hand move across our land in
exciting ways each May in response to our petitions!
In closing, we ask that you prayerfully consider
becoming a volunteer in your church or community
to lead a National Day of Prayer gathering. May
the Lord’s peace fill your heart as you rest in Him
throughout the days ahead.

First, we thank You

for all the blessings You have bestowed on our land,
blessings that have allowed us to bring so much good
and benefit to not only our own citizens but also to
the rest of the world. The very ideals upon which this
country was founded were based on biblical truths,
no matter how some try to rewrite history to deny
that very fact today.
This is why our hearts are so broken over how You
continue to be marginalized and dismissed by both
our people and our institutions. We are also saddened
by the fact that Your people have contributed greatly
to the spiritual apathy that now engulfs us. Our
satisfaction in remaining religious without being
fully committed to living out the truths of Your Word
has caused us to become co-conspirators with the
forces of evil that are destroying us as a society.
It is for this reason that we personally and
collectively repent of our carnality and recommit
ourselves to becoming visible and verbal disciples of

Idaho Cowboy Churches Fill Ministry Void
by Karen L. Willoughby, Baptist Press, bpnews.net: Thursday - January 5, 2016
Pictured above: Idaho cowboy church planter and pastor
David Kite baptizes a new believer in a horse trough.
Submitted photo.
POCATELLO, Idaho (BP) -- A rancher in eastern
Idaho spends two months each spring living in his
rustic calving barn. He “calfnaps” when he can, since
he’s awake at least every two hours 24/7, checking on
the birthing process, helping when needed.
He doesn’t like to miss church, though, so
perhaps that’s why he may choose to wear the same
jeans, boots, shirt, vest and hat he wore while helping
a mama cow or her calf, with vestiges of his work
smeared, splattered and stained in various places on
his attire.
“He couldn’t do that in a traditional church, but
nobody in a cowboy church thinks anything of it,”
said David Kite, who pastors two churches in eastern
Idaho and has planted two others there.
“The cowboy church movement is getting
strong,” Kite said. “It’s meeting a need for people not
comfortable in a traditional church.”
There are similarities as well as differences
between these cowboy churches and other traditional
Southern Baptist congregations. Among similarities,
both support giving to missions through the
Cooperative Program, the mechanism Southern
Baptist churches use to undergird state, national and
international ministries and missions.
“We believe in the Cooperative Program,” Kite
said. “The Cooperative Program is everywhere; it’s
in rural areas and big cities. I don’t know of any
other vehicle doing a better job in getting the Gospel
out than what we do as Southern Baptists with the
Cooperative Program.”
The Cooperative Program helps support Kite
who, with his wife Sue, travels up to 1,200 miles a
week in their pickup to minister at the four Idaho
churches: Christ Cowboy Country Church (4C’s) in
Blackfoot, Pocatello Cowboy Church in Pocatello,
Cross Bar Cowboy Church in Rigby, and Teton Valley
Cowboy Church in Driggs.
“Each church has its own personality,” Kite said.
“I preach exegetically -- we just finished Colossians
-- and I preach the same Scripture, but the Holy Spirit
makes each message unique to the needs of that
congregation.”
The 4C’s and the Pocatello churches were started
two years and one year, respectively, before the Kites
moved in 2012 from his South Carolina pastorate
to plant cowboy churches in Idaho. The Kites had
already made several mission trips “out West” over
the previous five years, but planted the Cross Bar
church in 2013 and the Teton Valley church the
following year.
About 100 people attend services at the 4C’s
church, held at 7 p.m. Saturdays in a ranch indoor
arena. The church has baptized 87 people under Kite’s
pastorate, and several others have made professions of
faith, calling Jesus their “trail boss.” The church, the
oldest and largest of the four Kite pastors, gives half
or more of its offerings to missions and ministries.
The Pocatello church, which meets at 6 p.m.
Sundays also in a ranch indoor arena, has grown
over the last three years to an average attendance of
more than 40 each week. The church has baptized 50
people in four years, and began this year supporting
the Cooperative Program.
www.imcnews.org
Cross Bar church averages 45 in 2 p.m. Sunday
worship in a fairgrounds building. Under Kite’s
leadership, the church since its inception has given 10
percent to missions through the Cooperative Program.
Attendance at the Teton Valley church is
sometimes as high as 35 during the congregation’s
7 p.m. Monday worship service; but had been as low
as four, three or even one when the church was first
planted. The meeting place is a log-sided building on
the main highway leading into Driggs. At about 100
miles from the Kites’ home in Blackfoot, Driggs is
the furthest distance the couple travels each week.
Unlike most traditional churches, cowboy
churches -- at least the ones he leads -- are “simple
churches,” Kite said. A leadership team serves as the
core group, assisting the pastor in making decisions
regarding ministries and missions.
“We’re just not big on owning property,” Kite
said. “Not owning a building is real freeing. We don’t
have to worry about upkeep -- maintenance, painting,
putting on a new roof. We spend our offerings on
missions and ministries.”
Outreach efforts have included financial
assistance and prayers for an Idaho pastor and family
experiencing unexpected medical issues, and financial
help for a family whose home flooded. There are also
the myriad tasks common to ranchers.
“We go where they go and do what they do,” Kite
said. “In the same way a pastor in a traditional church
might play golf with his parishioners or go to their
kid’s soccer game to build relationships, my wife
and I get involved in their everyday lives as ranchers
and farmers, [including] riding horses, cattle drives,
brandings, rodeos and more.”
The Pocatello church has two young couples,
ranch managers with small children, who drive 80
miles one way to attend services, including the five
miles of gravel road from their home to a paved, twolane highway.
“They need a church closer to them, but the
problem is that we have a shortage of pastors willing
to serve in the remote areas of the West,” Kite said.
“Barring a miracle from God, most of the churches
out here [rural Idaho] won’t ever grow to more than
100 people.”
About 2,500 people live on one 40-mile stretch
of road he regularly travels, Kite said. “There’s no
evangelical church along that stretch. These people

prayer. Submitted photo.
need the Gospel just as much as anyone else; that’s
why we do what we do.”
The Kites do more than just plant and lead
churches. Both are involved in community activities to
build relationships and share the Gospel. He delivers
sermons at Saturday rodeos and at Christian Timed
Event Clinics that have led to confessions of faith.
The Kites are also involved in hosting two weeklong
Rodeo Bible Camps each summer in Downey, Idaho,
and Wells, Nev., and have been asked to start a third
in Wyoming. Many members of their churches assist
as cooks, counselors and clinicians, and provide
scholarships to cover the $100 tuition for youth who
can’t afford to pay.
“In everything we do, we look to see God’s
footprint and then step in it,” Kite said. “And He
takes another step, and we step in it....”
Their goal since arriving in Idaho has been “To
get the Gospel just a little further down the trail,” Kite
said. Sometimes the trails are long and even lonely,
but “that’s why we came.”

Eric Stiller, a Crucial Part of CNNW’s
Outreach for 22 Years, Dies at 65

America Prayer Rally with Franklin Graham!

lasted 22 years, until Stiller’s unexpected death last month.
In Greg’s continued role as Field Rep for the
Decision America Tour Prayer Rally with Franklin
Graham, Greg was asked to go to Atlanta to experience
firsthand this ongoing event, to be better prepared for
this Rally coming to Utah on March 29th.
This is a non-political call to pray for our nation,
recognizing that our hope is not in the Republican
or Democratic parties but in America turning back to
Him. Franklin Graham is asking each state to pray,
to get involved, to vote and to consider running for
office.
Greg considered this to be an amazing experience
to be among 6,800 other individuals praying for
Georgia and our nation as a whole. He is hopeful
for a great response to Franklin’s visit to Utah in
March! Our goal is to have 100 churches participate
and promote this historic event. Currently, we have
55 churches partnering, would you pray with us that
45 more will join us?

PO Box 685
Lehi, UT 84043
PORTLAND — Eric Lee Stiller, whose steadfast
faith in Christ and 22 years of dedication to the ministry
of Christian News Northwest played a critical role in
its long-term survival, died unexpectedly early last
month. He was 65.
Stiller’s body was found in the living room of
his Jantzen Beach home by one of his two adult sons
on the evening of Jan. 4. The medical examiner
determined his death was from unspecified natural
causes.
“Eric’s passing is an absolute shock,” said
CNNW Publisher John Fortmeyer. “Over the past
22 years of working together, we had become
closer than brothers. He was one of the most loving,
positive people I have ever known, and words cannot
describe how much he is already missed.” Joining the
newspaper operation as an advertising salesperson
upon only its third monthly edition in August 1994,
Stiller was later named ad director and also eventually
joined the newspaper’s governing board.
“Eric’s role was so pivotal that if not for him,
Christian News Northwest might never have survived
its initial challenges,” said Fortmeyer. “It’s largely
because of his belief in the mission of our Christian
newspaper that we are still here today.”
A Pennsylvania native, Stiller moved with his
family to Portland as a teenager. Prior to joining
CNNW he worked for years as a manager for both
Denny’s and Sizzler restaurants in the Portland area.
Dedicating his life to Christ in his 40s, he felt called
to leave the restaurant industry and apply his business
background to the ministry.
Stiller was widely known for his friendly and
encouraging manner, and he delighted not only
in ad work but assisting in all aspects of CNNW’s
operation.
When the Great Recession of 2008 hit the
newspaper industry hard nationally and forced
budget cutbacks for CNNW, Stiller took on additional
employment as a bus driver for Portland Public
Schools.
Stiller was a longtime active member of Hayden
Island Community Church.
He is survived by sons Cody and Ben; a sister,
and his parents, all living locally. Public memorial
service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20 in Johnson Chapel
at Western Seminary, 5511 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd.,
Portland.
His family also hosted an informal memorial
gathering in Tualatin on Jan. 10 and the Hayden
Island church devoted much of its weekly service on
Jan. 11 to memories of Stiller.
A loving brother we will never forget.
By John Fortmeyer, Christian News
Northwest publisher
Each month this spot in our Opinion
section is normally devoted to one of the
many current topics of concern to our
evangelical Christian community.
Not this time.
4 - 3-4.2016 / InterMountain Christian News
This is by no means a normal month at Christian
News Northwest. It is not a normal month for me.
And I can’t help but share here some very personal
thoughts with our readers.
Twenty-two years ago, I met someone who was
a bit crazy. He was crazy enough to think that a print
voice for the evangelical Christian community in our
part of the Northwest was not only needed, but also
that it could actually succeed and grow.
In other words, he was as crazy as yours truly.
Plus, he was full of deep, deep faith. He also
was great fun. And enthusiastic. And a huge
encouragement to everyone who crossed his path.
But this month, for the first time since he joined
CNNW’s staff way back in 1994, this newspaper has
gone to press without Eric Stiller’s involvement. We
remain shocked that our dear friend and brother died
unexpectedly Jan. 4 at age 65. (See story on Page 1)
The gap in our operation is immense — for our
newspaper business, of course, but far more for
myself and others involved in CNNW simply because
of the loss of someone we all loved so deeply.
As I have told many people since then, I feel
like I have lost my right arm. Eric was closer than
a brother to me. Almost daily we laughed together,
cried together, prayed together and saw God work so
many miracles over the years — not only regarding
the newspaper but also our personal lives. He was
truly one of the most loving, most encouraging
people I have ever known.
Eric joined our newspaper in only
its third month as our ad salesman, and
we eventually named him ad director.
For the past several years he also has
been on our board of directors.
From our perspective, it was
absolutely a “God thing” that Eric
ever got involved in Christian News
Northwest. Lloyd Mackey, a Christian newspaperman
from Canada who had founded a similar publication
in Vancouver, B.C., came down to Oregon for two
months in 1994 and helped us get our newspaper off
the ground. But Lloyd’s help could only be shortterm, and we desperately needed someone to pursue
the advertising sales for our fledgling operation.
While in Portland, Lloyd went to eat at a Sizzler
restaurant and started chatting with Eric, who was
managing the eatery, about our new project.
Captivated by what Lloyd told him, Eric totally
on great faith quit his restaurant job and joined our
staff. It wasn’t easy for him — at the time he was
a single father of two little boys and facing many
financial and other pressures — but he never regretted
making that leap. And it was indeed very much a leap
for him as a new believer in Christ, but he said his
calling to this work was unmistakable.
So he stuck with it. And he was honestly as
excited as a little kid when, month by month, the
region’s Christian community increasingly responded
to our efforts, and the newspaper grew steadily.
Furthermore, as a highly interested follower of daily
current events, Eric felt privileged to be part of an
effort that shared a Christ-centered perspective on the
news.
Eric also had a perfect personality to do ad sales.
He was not only outgoing, but he also always took the
time to sincerely listen to the prospective advertiser,
discerning their needs and often praying with them.
There was nothing pretentious about Eric — what
you saw was genuine. He lived a simple, humble and
devout life of service to Christ and to his fellow man.
And no one was quicker than Eric to give a
brotherly hug that just couldn’t be disregarded
because it was coming from such a big heart inside
a big man.

COLORADO
From Denver Rescue Mission
Nick
It was late in the evening on February 26, 2002.
The cold rain threatened of snow, but Nick didn’t go
to a shelter. Instead, he went to a local bar. He wasn’t
allowed to bring his bags and sleeping gear inside the
bar, so he left them outside. But when he came back
out, all his belongings were gone.
Friends offered to let him sleep on their floor that
night, but blinded by anger and addiction, he went to
a liquor store instead. In a nearby park, he found a dry
piece of plywood he could use as a blanket.
“When you’re homeless,” Nick explains, “you
have to take care of your feet and let them air out at
night, or else you can get lesions and foot diseases.”
That night, he took off his shoes so his feet could rest
and dry. With nothing but his coat and the thin piece
of plywood for a blanket, he fell asleep on the cold
ground.
Sometime in the middle of the night, he stuck
his legs out from under the plywood while he was
sleeping. The rain turned to snow, and the temperature
dropped to eight degrees by morning. When he woke
up, his feet were swollen twice their normal size.
The pain was excruciating, but instead of calling
an ambulance, he went back to the liquor store and
bought more alcohol. Whenever the pain became too
much to handle, he drank more.
Between the alcohol and the pain, Nick blacked
out for most of the day. “I don’t remember everything,
but I do remember the pain,” he says, “It was horrible.
I could literally hear my feet cracking when I walked
because they were frozen.”
He knew of the dangers of cold weather
firsthand. Just a year before, a homeless friend had
frozen to death on the street. But despite the obvious
signs, Nick was in complete denial about what was
happening.
The pain finally became so intense he collapsed
at a bus station and called an ambulance.
In the end, Nick lost most of his left leg and half
of his right foot to frostbite, but it wasn’t enough to
slow his addictions. He used his disability benefits to
finance his partying and drug abuse. Within a year, he
was broke and back on the street.
“It was just insane,” he says. “I knew it had to
stop.” At a detox center, he called Denver Rescue
Mission asking if he could join the New Life Program.
“You would think that losing a couple limbs would
be enough,” he says, “but that’s not the nature of
addiction. It will kill you if you don’t find someone
to help you, and that’s what I found at the Mission.”
His chaplain, John, became a great influence in his
life and encouraged him to take the counseling he
needed to work through the personal, spiritual and
social issues that fueled his addictions.
Nick says he can’t imagine how hard it was for
the staff at the Mission to look at him and see hope,
but they did. And their encouragement inspired him
to do the same and give back after graduating the
New Life Program in 2010. “I’m so thankful for my
new relationship with Jesus and the help I received
at the Mission,” he says. “Though my addiction will
always be a part of who I am, God is using it now to
help others through me.”
Today, Nick works at Colorado Coalition for
the Homeless as a Peer Wellness Navigator in
their Path program, and in the spring, he’ll become
www.imcnews.org
a Peer Specialist. He helps people experiencing
homelessness in a wide variety of ways, but for him,
his job description is pretty simple. “That’s my job, to
give people hope,” he says. “I try to share everything
I learned at the Mission as best I can.”
During these freezing winter months, the Mission
provides emergency shelter from the cold, warm
meals to the hungry and hope to those experiencing
homelessness in our community. And like Nick, they
have the opportunity to step out of the cold reality
of their hurts, hang-ups and heartaches and into the
hope and encouragement offered in our life-changing
programs. But it’s only possible because of your
support.
Thank you for helping us keep our homeless
neighbors warm and safe from the dangers of the
cold, but more than that, thank you for helping us
change lives and give hope to people like Nick today.

UTAH
From Rescue Mission of Salt Lake
Dillon
My name is
Dillon Newman and
I am 28 years old. It
might sound strange,
but, if I am being
totally honest, I have
spent more days of
my life high than I
have sober. That’s
why I’m so happy to
share that for most of
the past year I have
been stone cold sober
and have loved it.
A Brand New Life
So many amazing things have happened to me
since I came to the Rescue Mission in April, it’s hard
to know where to begin. First and foremost, I now
believe in God and His Son, Jesus. Before I came
to the Rescue Mission, I sort of believed that God
existed and I knew a little about who Jesus was, but I
had never followed Him.
Still, I had this gnawing feeling that God wanted
me to come to the Rescue Mission. I really felt like
it was the only way I could turn my life around.
When I came to the Rescue Mission, I was broken
and ashamed. I had spent the last three years in a
homeless shelter or in jail. My family had cut ties
with me because of my drug-fueled life. It was fair to
say I was at rock bottom.
At the Mission, however, I started learning about
God. I went to Bible studies and heard sermons at
the nightly chapel services. One chapel preacher
really made sense to me. I went and talked to him
after the service and I think it was then that I really
started believing in God and Jesus. I wasn’t raised
in a family that went to church. Although my family
seemed to believe in God, there wasn’t much religion
in my home.
But as I built a relationship with God at the
Mission, my mind seemed to grow clearer and I gained
a strength to stay sober that I hadn’t had before. As I
stayed sober, my whole personality started changing.
I was becoming myself again, instead of the shell of a
person I had become from years of meth use.
And as I began to change, my relationships
changed too. When I came to the Mission, my entire
family had pretty much cut ties with me. I had stolen
from them and had broken one too many promises,
so that they no longer trusted me. But as the new,
sober me developed, I found my family was willing
to engage with me and even forgive me.
Brand New Relationships
My father, for instance, started believing in God
about five years ago. He is a former addict, too, and
for the last five years has been attending the Salvation
Army Church downtown. As I stayed sober, I was
able to start going to church with him. Now we go
together every week. I get to hang out with him and
I feel like we have a real father-son relationship,
which we never really had after he and my mom got
divorced.
My relationships with my sister, mom and
grandparents, who have always tried to help me,
are also repaired. I can visit my grandparents and
talk with my sister and my mom any time I want. I
even connect with my brother from time to time. He
has been homeless for four years and is an addict.
When I see him on the streets I tell him, “Hey, if you
ever want to get back up on your feet, come join the
Mission’s New Life Program; it will help you.”
Besides my restored relationships, I have a good
job working at a nice downtown restaurant. I am
saving up money so I can get my own place when I
am ready to graduate from the New Life Program in
a few months. I feel successful, happy and blessed by
God. Today, my life is nothing like it was when I was
a drug user.
Divorce and Drug Abuse
If I had to point to one thing that made me
start using drugs, it would probably be my parents’
divorce. I know a lot of kids go through divorces,
but my parent’s divorce destroyed me. To this day, I
am not sure why they divorced. I know they fought a
lot but, as a sixth grader, I really couldn’t understand
why they would want to split up. My father left our
home and my mom tried to raise us. I was the oldest
and, still in sixth grade, I was pretty upset about it.
I decided to start smoking cigarettes, marijuana and
eventually meth, all while in sixth grade. By seventh
grade, I came to school high on meth almost every
day.
I got kicked out of two high schools and bounced
around between several others as we moved around
the Sandy area of the Salt Lake Valley. My mom
would try to make it and take care of us kids, but
then we would struggle to make ends meet and would
have to move in with our grandparents until my mom
could save up enough money for us to move out on
our own again.
I finally dropped out of high school during my
senior year. I was literally using meth every day. I
lived off my mom for a few years before I started
working at fast-food or retail jobs. Eventually, my
meth addiction became so bad that I really had no
desire to work. I shoplifted or ripped people off to
get money for drugs. I lived with family members
for a while, but they all eventually grew tired of my
laziness and drug abuse. The last straw was when
my dad kicked me out of his place. I had burned all
my other bridges: with my mom, my sister and my
grandparents.
Living on the Streets
So I was officially homeless for the first time
in the spring of 2013. When it was warm enough,
I stayed outside, but mostly I stayed at the public
housing shelter. I cried throughout the first night I
spent at the shelter. It was crazy there. Guys would
allow their girlfriends to have sex with other men in
exchange for drugs. People would shoot up heroin
right there in the open.
It is demoralizing to live in a public shelter

Letter to the Editor
Obama promised change, and Christians helped
elect him twice. Will Christians do the same with an
unrepentant adulterer this year?
Many evangelicals are enthralled with Donald
Trump. He says good-sounding things people want to
hear just as Castro did in Cuba and Obama did here.
What is ignored—not checked—is his character.
John Jay, the first Supreme Court Chief Justice, said,
“Providence has given to our people the choice of
their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege
and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer
Christians for their rulers.” Today many Christians
are more concerned with money than with morality.
Trump is no Christian. In 1999 he said he was
“very pro-choice” and supported partial-birth
abortion. No true Christian can support killing
babies. “As late as 2000, he wrote that he was prochoice. But in 2011, he said he was pro-life.”
In 2011 Trump claimed to be Presbyterian, but in
1977 his church said he was not an active member.
He goes to church “when I can.” “Always on
Christmas. Always on Easter. Always when there’s
a major occasion,” Trump said in 2012. “The church
he claims to attend says they don’t remember seeing
him in a long time, or ever.” At a Family Leadership
Summit in Iowa the moderator asked him if he had
ever sought the Lord’s pardon for anything, Trump
replied: “I am not sure I have. … I don’t bring God
into that picture.” Trump is pleased his daughter
converted to Judaism.
Trump has been known as a womanizer. He
committed adultery on Ivana (with Marla) leading
her to divorce him in 1992. On December 21, 1993,
Trump married Marla two months after Tiffany
was born. He divorced Marla in 1999. In the years
following, he was rumored to have been hooking up
with a slew of younger women; until he finally settled
down in 2005 with model Melania Knauss.
Trump’s speech announcing he was running for
the Republican nomination for president contained
a number of false and misleading statements on the
economy, trade, health care and terrorism. Was he
lying for political expediency or was he guessing at
the facts? In the debate 2/25, Trump said, “the United
States is the “highest taxed country in the world,” a
blatantly false claim.
Trump is a bully suing to get what he wants,
even using “eminent domain” against cities and
individuals. He “has sued people, businesses and
entire cities and countries…a newspaper,… a Native
American tribe,” and more.
In public speeches he has used the “F-bomb.”
Politically he is unstable. He identified as a
Democrat until 1987 and then changed parties
several times. In 2004, he told CNN that he simply
didn’t see himself as a Republican. “In many cases,

RinoTracker Response: Will GOP Uphold Cruz “Firewall” Against
Obama Supreme Court Takeover?

RINOTRACKER RESPONSE FROM CHRIS
ADAMO, Wheatland, Wyoming:
Rather than merely reacting to the tragic death
of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and the
potentially disastrous consequences his untimely
departure may portend for America, it is crucially
important to assess how we got to such a detestable
place. Only in this manner can we hope to properly
navigate our way back to sanity and any assurance of
the preservation of America.
Many conservatives are rightly expressing
their alarm at the prospect that a single new Obama
www.imcnews.org
appointee on the court would most assuredly spell
doom for the Constitution, and thus for the nation. But
this appalling circumstance did not occur overnight.
In conjunction with the relentless Democrat assault
on traditional America that has ensued over the past
several decades, a long chain of Republican betrayals
and shameless pragmatism ultimately rendered the
Democrat onslaught effective.
In far too many cases, the elitism and cronyism
of Capitol Hill has supplanted honesty and the
constitutional bedrock of the nation. Consequently,
safeguards against abuses and tyranny, instituted by
the founders in their wisdom and foresight, have been
dangerously eroded. The modern “Ruling Class”
finds it easy to offer empty, self-serving platitudes
in lieu of worthy governing principles. And all too
often, such indefensible behavior goes unquestioned,
either by elected officials or even “conservative”
talking heads.
Now, with no wiggle room left, America is forced
to reckon with the possibility that the placement of a
single individual on the High Court could make or
break its future. This was not how our great nation
was ever intended to operate.
Consider the current makeup of the court and
the total dereliction of congressional oversight it
represents. In each ensuing case heard by the court,
analysts ponder how the five Republican appointees
will weigh the merits. And their final decisions
are never guaranteed one way or the other. Yet in
any and every case involving a left/right political
question, nobody doubts for a single moment that all
four of the Clinton/Obama appointees will always
take the liberal position. Such an unbroken track
record renders them not “jurists,” and certainly not
defenders of the Constitution, but unscrupulous and
dangerously empowered political hacks.
In truth, the GOP has been in a position to prevent
such desecration of our constitutional government.
However, for purely self-serving political reasons, it
has too often refused to do so. The original intent of the
Senate confirmation process was as an indispensable
component of the “Rock, Paper, Scissors” structure
of government that would ensure no single branch
could ever achieve uncontested power. From this
perspective, no justice should ever be allowed to
ascend to the high court without a proven track record
of loyalty to the nation and its founding ideals.
Unfortunately, such noble principle was
eventually supplanted by shallow platitudes that
virtually guarantee a total corruption of the court.
In recent decades Republicans, seeking to avoid
controversy and media backlash, have ignored
nominees’ prior episodes of flagrantly extraconstitutional adjudicating or the total lack of
evidence of actual fidelity to the Constitution,
and focused instead on legal credentials. Thus, the

Greetings in Christ Jesus!
Burmese Refugee Camps: As a result of the
positive changes in Burma due to the elections,
Thailand has discussed sending all the refugees back
to Burma in 2017. There are currently five refugee
camps located on the Thai/Burma border, which hold
over 100,000 people altogether.
Despite these positive changes, the Free Burma
Rangers ministry reports that attacks have increased
since the elections, and 10,000 more people were
displaced in Burma within the past two months.
Our contact who works with the refugees has
purchased a piece of land inside Burma, located
in a peaceful area that has not experienced the war
prevalent in other parts of the country. Our contact
plans to build a children’s home on the land and
move one of the children’s homes to this location
in March 2016 in order to avoid the mass exodus.
The children are incredibly scared about the move,
considering many of them lost their parents and other
family members in their flight from the country.
Please pray God would show Himself mighty,
being a stronghold and refuge on behalf of these
people who have endured so much! Pray His peace
and comfort would reign in their hearts despite these
circumstances and that the Gospel would go forth
in their midst. Pray the positive changes in Burma
would lead to a decrease in persecution and a longawaited peace.
Praise the Lord!!
• For the incredible
reports coming from
Lebanon and the many
Bibles that have been
distributed through your
generosity!
• The opportunities
we have been given to
share the testimonies
we have witnessed with
people across the US!
• For the outpouring of support that makes the
work possible!
Updates on Two Teams Serving in SE Asia:
Bibles continue to be
distributed throughout SE
Asia. One team has been busy
carrying Bibles across closed
borders into several different
countries, while the other
team is focused on distributing
Bibles that have penetrated the
border to the various villages
where they are desperately needed! Please keep both
of these teams covered in your prayers as they seek to
remain undetected! Pray God’s Word will get where
it is needed to nourish those who are hungry!
From the office:
We will be closing the Bozeman P.O. Box in
order to save on expenses. In the future, all donations
and mail can be sent to our Casper address (PO Box
2635, Casper, WY 82602). All traveler applications
can be sent to our physical address in Bozeman at:
100 Shepherd Trail, Unit 12, Bozeman, MT 59718.
We appreciate your assistance!
Current Needs:
Support for the Safe House - We are in need of
ongoing monthly support for the safe house. The
monthly cost for retraining the girls as well as food
and shelter is expensive! We have seen great results
from this program but need help with the monthly
costs associated with running it. Thank you to those
who have already helped support this project!
Final Installment due on purchase of salon- We
need funds for the final $25,000 payment to purchase
the salon to reach out to women in the red-light
district. The salon is open and operating, but our final
payment is due soon!
Vitamins for red-light district- When the team
travels at the end of March, our contacts have
requested women’s supplemental vitamins, children’s
vitamins, and chewable vitamin C for the kids.

Zero Tolerance for Arab War Education
by David Bedein - Jerusalem, Israel
Israel Resource News Agency and Center for Near East Policy Research
Dear Friend of the
Center for Near East
Policy Research,
Our
agency
has followed The
United
Nations
Relief and Works
Agency
(UNRWA)
implementation
of
Palestinian Authority
(PA) war education
curriculum for the past
16 years, in terms of
what goes on in the classroom, the school yard, and
the teachers who hail from terrorist organizations with their newest school books.
This year, our agency filmed pupils from
UNRWA schools in Jerusalem for our newest film.
The students proclaim - on camera - that they learn in
UNRWA schools to kill Jews.
In that context, we purchased and commissioned
translations of all new PA schoolbooks now in use
by UNRWA, following reassurances from the US
government that new PA schoolbooks would represent
values of tolerance, peace and reconciliation.
Yet we expose that new UNRWA schoolbooks
convey the opposite.
We seek sponsors to help us bring experts to
update staffers and members of the U.S. Congress,
Canadian Parliament, British Parliament, Australian
Parliament and the European Parliament, so that the
donor nations will know the current state of affairs in
UNRWA.
At these sessions, our experts will screen our
new film and share translations of the new UNRWA
books. There is one purpose: Shock donors into
placing stringent conditions on funds to UNRWA and
the PA.

not fund a genocide curriculum.

Even without a Political Solution, This may
be Time to Find a Humanitarian Solution for The
Descendants of Arab Refugees from 1948.
At a time of deadlock in political negotiations
between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, the
U.S., which donates $400 million to UNRWA
each year- 33% of the UNRWA budget, can use its
leverage to find a solution to the humanitarian plight
of the five million of descendants of the refugees
from the 1948 war who still wallow in and around
UNRWA facilities. Instead of simply throwing money
at UNRWA, the U.S. could assert its leadership
amongst donor nations to advance UNRWA policies
that could improve living conditions of UNRWA
refugee residents. The U.S. could offer a realistic
humanitarian alternative to the current “refugee
status in perpetuity” which fosters a “right of return”
mantra that UNRWA currently drums into the minds
of half a million UNRWA students.
In that context, the U.S. could address six policy
challenges, which could guide a new way of thinking
in U.S. – UNRWA policy reform.
1. The U.S. could work with all donor nations to
ask for an audit of donor funds that flow to UNRWA.
This would address widespread documented
reports of wasted resources, duplicity of services
and the undesired flow of cash to Gaza-based
terror groups, which gained control over UNRWA
operations in Gaza over the past 18 years. http://
israelbehindthenews.com/unrwa-gaza-terroristorganizations-cooperative-relationship/11632/
2. The U.S., as the largest donor to UNRWA,
could introduce UNHCR standards to UNRWA,
to advance the resettlement of Arab refugees, after
67 years. Current UNRWA policy is that refugee
resettlement would interfere with the “right of
return” to Arab villages that existed before 1948.
http://israelbehindthenews.com/library/pdfs/
UNRWAchartcomparison.pdf
3.
The U.S. could ask fellow donor nations
to withdraw the new UNRWA curriculum, which
incorporate principles of Jihad, martyrdom and an
“right of return” by force of arms, in UN schools
which are supposed to promote the UNRWA slogan of
“Peace Starts Here.”http://israelbehindthenews.com/
see-pa-textbook-incitement-for-yourself-funded-bythe-us-taxpayer/14375/
4.
The U.S. could ask for a cessation of
paramilitary training in any UNRWA schools. Should
UNRWA, as a UN agency, not demonstrate a renewed
commitment to UN principles to “peace education”?
http://israelbehindthenews.com/israel-and-jews-inthe-newest-palestinian-authority-pa-schoolbookstaught-in-pa-and-unrwa-schools-de-legitimizationdemonization-advocacy-of-violent-struggle-ratherthan-peace-of-jihad-martyrdo/14346/
5. This would be an opportune time for the U.S.
to work with all donor nations to insist that UNRWA
dismiss employees who are affiliated with Hamas,
in accordance with laws on the books in U.S. which
forbid aid to any agency that employs members of
a terrorist organization. http://israelbehindthenews.
com/israel-and-jews-in-the-newest-palestinianauthority-pa-schoolbooks-taught-in-pa-and-unrwaschools-de-legitimization-demonization-advocacyof-violent-struggle-rather-than-peace-of-jihadmartyrdo/14346/
andhttp://israelbehindthenews.
com/library/pdfs/UNRWA-SCHOOLS-IN-GAZA.
pdf
6. Since UNRWA has recently hired a “youth
ambassador” Mohammad Assaf, to travel the world
and encourage insurrection and violence, would this
not be the appropriate time for the U.S. to work with
all donor nations to ask that UNRWA cancel that
contract with a harbinger of war: unrwa-monitor.
com/articles/israel-resource-review/are-the-lyricsof-the-unrwa-youth-ambassador-not-lethal/
The U.S. has an opportunity to address a pressing
humanitarian issue that can be solved.

Miraculous Salvation
by Shea Payne
As someone whom
once spent her time
obsessed with what
people would think
and what I’d say in
any possible situation
it’s hard to believe
who I am now. During
childhood I faced
mental emotional and
sexual abuse, along
with neglect. At least
when I wasn’t in the hospital with any of the first
15 of 17 hip surgeries. Although, due to these things
I’d also developed a paranoid obsession about my
daughter’s safety. I soon found myself projecting
that enormous pressure onto my oldest daughter and
causing her severe inadequacy and rage requiring me
to give custody to others better equipped to parent her.
I learned I was carrying my sixth pregnancy despite
a prior thank ligation. Only a week later I was forced
to abort the pregnancy as one was in my tube, and
days after that I learned the third of the four children
I birthed confessed she’d been raped by her step
brother. Because the judicial system failed to bring
Richfield, Utah
justice despite compelling evidence my child father
decided I’d concocted the story and that he would
come take my child, while unwilling to remove the
perpetrator from his home. So though I was only 2
weeks out of a total hip replacement I packed my car
and left the state as soon as my step grandfather’s
funeral ended.
I sent a message to my father, but decided he
didn’t care for my children as he hadn’t cared for my
childhood. The further I drove the better I felt, until
we were found at a hotel. The same fearful paranoia
sent me into a spiral and I began traveling across the
USA, depending upon the kindness of strangers and
what I thought to be my own instincts for survival.
Finally after nearly five months of homelessness
I began settling into a new life in Arkansas. Then I
received an answer to my message, hearing my dad’s
voice on the phone ask to pick us up reminded me of
all the dreams I had growing up of him showing up
barging in, and rescuing me. At the thought of this
long awaited dream coming true my anger toward him
dissipated and I graciously accepted his invitation.
While waiting for the weekend to come to be
picked up I was suddenly surrounded with many
faithful Christians. They told me about a Jesus that
was entirely different than what I was taught in my
LDS upbringing. How Jesus had worked out the
details of their situations and brought healing to their
lives. I began to wonder if He’d used my abuse to
motivate me to teach my daughter to talk if she was
hurt. I considered the differences in doctrine and the
idea that I being the girl that was only wanted for sex
or a rock to kick could actually be loved and have
purpose. I began to see how my parents had both
done what they thought best. Still I had no clue what
I was signing up for when I told my dad that Jesus
died for me too, even with my immediate inability to
curse that felt entirely odd.
As my dad and his preacher best friend began
to disciple me while I received my lifelong dream
of Christmas and Thanksgiving with my father, I
noticed how everything I’d accredited to instinct was
Jesus’ protection guidance and provision. I picked
out numerous divine appointments I’d previously
thought I sought to provide for my children. Every
detail He had worked out from which turns to take, to
shushing people who witnessed me steal food, shoes,
and other various supplies. Therefore I had no reason
to distrust Jesus, and far too much appreciation and

respect to disobey Him when He said it was time to
return and face what I’d left behind. He gave my dad
the means to replace the vehicle I’d lost along my
travels, and the money for my return.
The afternoon after I got home and checked
into the shelter I was notified via public notification
of a custody case that would have not only put my
daughter back with her abuser, but left me with little
supervised visitation.
Two weeks more of homelessness was all
God needed to provide me with an apartment, and
everything I’d lost, and to upgrade some of my
furniture. Though all court petitions have defaulted
on my favor we’ve been able to work out an agreeable
arrangement.
I’ll never tell you that facing the demons of my
past has been easy, but in the loving merciful joys
of Christ I’ve offered forgiveness to my abusers and
my children’s abusers as well as defeating alcohol,
marijuana, tobacco, pain killers, severe social anxiety,
major depressive disorder, rage, self sabotage and
loathing, and sex addiction.
I’ll never be perfect, but I carry the perfected
righteousness of the only begotten Son of God, the
father who rescued me from hell on earth and hell
itself. Jesus Christ fulfilled the law and endured the
unsurvivable to redeem all from the choices made in
the free will He offered us, even knowing He would
suffer so immensely for it, because He is the perfected
example of love. Thanks and glory be to Christ Jesus.

between we need to understand what we have as a
party, as a people to work together. So the questions
and the issues we are sitting together and finding at
least a dialog, not a solution but a dialog to bring it
to today’s Israeli Society to try and start a discussion
at least.
With this understanding we are running our party.
Are your people familiar with what is going on here?
Dr. A Harper: Oh, yes.
Dr. A Lavie:
better future.
We need to focus and wish to have a
Dr. A Harper: Yes, we want Israel to have a better
future. We want to get the truth out about Israel
Dr. Lavie: You know I have mentioned to you before
there is Franklin Graham, he is the Son of Billy
Graham here in the U.S. He’s on a 50 State tour in
the U.S. He is quoting the scripture from the Old
Testament, 2 Chronicles 7:14. And he believes and a
lot of Christian Leaders believe there is a solution to
terrorism that we are experiencing in Israel and the
U.S. found in this scripture. Have you heard of that
before?
Dr. A Lavie:
Terror is not the way to have a future.
Dr. A Harper:No.
Dr. A Lavie: People who choose to use terror are
a people not looking for a dialog. Terrorist is what
we have to deal with every day since Israel was
established and before Israel was established. Many
people don’t want to have Israel as a State, a Jewish
State, and a democratic Jewish State. They use in
different ways terror. Terror is not the way to continue.
We are very worried about it.
Thank God we have our strong army and all our
children are going into the army. Everyone has
their turn. Now my son is in the army, I was in the
army, my father was in the army and I know that
my granddaughters will be in the army because this
is a must here in Israel. Because of our enemies
and unfortunately we don’t have a dialog with our
neighbors.
Dr. A Harper: It is very terrible and many people
are praying Dr. Lavie for Israel. There are many
Christians in America, that love Israel, and are
praying for you and all the leadership in Israel.
Franklin Graham is on this tour calling for Christians
to pray in America for prayer and repentance. He
believes that there is a solution if our heart is right;
honoring the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
There have been issues also Dr. Lavie with some Arab
Knesset Members visiting the families of terrorists.
What is your opinion on that? What do you think
about that?
Dr. A Lavie: Oh, I will tell you right now our
fathers are from Ancient Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
We have the three fathers and the four mothers and
every Jew pray at least once a day. As a Jew we pray
three times a day and we pray for peace and we are
asking for peace. And you mentioned the three Arabs
Members that went to meet the families that murder
people. That chooses to use terror and kill our people.
More than that they stood for their memories and they
spoke about these people as a hero. Unfortunately
they spoke about them as role models. Think about
it, what it means.
The people watch TV and when they saw these
members of the Knesset meeting with these families.
So this is the next terrorist attack. The next girl or boy
they take a knife and go out to a train in the middle of
Jerusalem and find a way to use the knife and make
another terror attack. We can’t accept behavior like
this. We gave them a punishment and two of them
www.imcnews.org
have come to the Parliament and vote in forth coming
vote in four months and there is another vote in two
months.
There is another issue that is now on the table.
Parliament Center Benjamin Netanyahu wants to
create a legislation that will use some tools of the
Parliament against a member of the Knesset that
will behave like this. I don’t agree with legislation
against a member of the Knesset even though I don’t
agree with their behavior because we are a Jewish
State but also a Democratic State. First of all this is a
Democratic Parliament and we have to be very careful
with legislations like this. We’ll see now when Prime
Minister puts his subjects on the table.
We will have to think very, very carefully now how to
continue with this legislation.
Dr. A Harper: Well thank you Dr. Lavie for sharing
with our listeners. I know that you have got a busy
schedule.
Dr. A Lavie:Yeah.
Dr. A Harper: Many people continue to pray for
you and all of Israel.
Dr. A Lavie: Actually, I’m going from here now
and I can share with you that in our own religion, as
a Jewish people, months after a man or woman dies
there is a memorial event. Months ago, Dafna Meir
was murdered in front of her six children in her house
in Otniel. A 15 year old boy came and killed her with
a knife. I was asked by the family to come and speak
for her memory.
Now I have 30 minutes to go and meet with her
family and speak in front of her friends, family and
many people that are supposed to attend this event in
memory of Dafna.

and be homeless. You have nowhere to go and
everywhere you do go, you are not wanted. I know
it sounds strange, but once you get that low, it’s hard
to recover. People say, “Why don’t you do something
to get yourself out of that situation?” But you just
have this overwhelming sorrow inside of you and
you don’t want to do anything because of where you
are. I literally felt like there was nothing I could do,
on my own, to change my life. But that’s when God
stepped in.
God Saves Me
I truly believe that God sent two police officers
to arrest me early last year. I had been convicted of
shoplifting and drug possession, but had ignored my
probation requirements and now had a felony warrant
out for my arrest. The police came to the public
housing shelter, looked over the roster, saw my name,
realized I had a felony warrant and promptly took me
into custody. It was the best thing that could have
happened to me.
My arrest got me out of the shelter and, since I
was locked up for the next three months, it forced
me to be sober. Eventually, my attorney said I could
get into the Drug Court program, but I would need
to enter a residential treatment center. They gave
me a few options and I chose the Rescue Mission,
knowing it was a faith-based program. I think it was
God tugging at me, telling me what I needed.
And it’s true: the New Life Program was exactly
what I needed. Looking back, I can see God leading
me here, being faithful to me even when I was
faithless. I am hoping to start school soon. I think
I will have the opportunity to get into a computer
technician program that will help me learn how to set
up and repair computers and computer systems.
In April, I will graduate Drug Court and be off
probation. Then, in May, I will graduate from the
New Life Program. In the meantime, I am focused
on saving money, staying sober and living life with
my family. I am so thankful that all the people I have
hurt have been willing to forgive me and that they
can enjoy the real me, not the meth-addict me. Please
pray for me. Pray that God would continue to keep
me sober and that I would continue to have a passion
to grow my relationship with Him. I thank all of you
for supporting the Rescue Mission and giving me a
place that could save me from the pit I was in.

I probably identify more as Democrat,” Trump
told Wolf Blitzer. During the two decades before
2011 most of his contributions went to Democrats.
Democrat recipients of Trump’s donations make up
what looks like a Republican enemies list, and “The
biggest recipient of all has been the Democratic
Senate Campaign Committee of New York, which
has taken in more than $125,000 from Trump and
his companies. Overall, Trump has given nearly
$600,000 to New York state campaigns, with more
than two-thirds going to Democrats.
Trump is an ego-maniac. “To explain how he will
do things that seem implausible — Trump’s answer is
usually himself….The heart of Trump-ism…[is] the
man’s own sky-high self-confidence.”
He attacked Ted Cruz saying members of
both parties can often barely hide their disdain

establishment—the “good-ol’boys”—who have been
compromising that don’t like Cruz because he has
stood up to the establishment of both parties.
Donald Trump attacked Scalia’s decision

In summary, Trump is a godless egotistical
Democrat bully masquerading as a Republican. How
can a Christian vote for such a man?
Alice
Alice heard about CWRM while she was in jail,
serving time for charges related to her drug use. Our
name and Christian outreach didn’t mean much to
her at the time. But after she was released she found
herself hanging out with old friends and rekindling
her destructive habits—and she no longer wanted to
lead that kind of life. When she decided to ask for
help, she knew where to turn.
She had struggled with health challenges for
many years and her drinking and occasional drug
use only exacerbated her condition. When she and
her husband divorced, her substance abuse turned
to addiction and her life spiraled further downhill.
She lost her home and stayed with friends, using
her disability income to support her growing habit
and seldom buying food. As a result she became
malnourished. Her decision to come to CWRM not
only changed her life, it might have even saved it.
In the care of the compassionate staff and
counselors at our Women’s Transformation Center,
Alice is regaining her health, learning critical life
skills and strengthening her relationship with the
Lord. “When I try to take over, I don’t steer very
well,” she says. “I feel a lot better when God is in
control. I’m learning to keep Him in the driver’s
seat.”
After she completes our Discipleship Program
she is looking forward to leading a sober and
independent life and being a godly role model for
her young grandchildren, whom she loves dearly.
Recently she spoke about the transformation she has
experienced not only in her own life, but witnessed in
others’ lives as well, here at CWRM:
“God is here—there’s no question. I’ve seen
Him work in so many ways in so many people, it’s
a miracle almost every day! Without CWRM, there
would be a lot more people on the streets, destitute
and searching aimlessly for hope.”

SIGNS
The Signs of a
Christian
By Rev. Anthony Harper, Ph.D., Boise, Idaho
You may have wondered if you are saved at
times. The following are some key elements of a
Christian’s experience:
1. Are you preoccupied with thinking about JESUS?
Psalms 42:2: My soul thirsteth for God, for the
living God.... KJV Malachi 3:16: …and the Lord
hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared
the Lord, and that thought upon his name.
2. Do you have a heart for the lost? Do you love
to speak about JESUS with others?
Malachi 3:16: Then they that feared the Lord
spake often one to another...KJV Matthew 28:1920: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe
all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and,
lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the
world. Amen.
3. Do you delight in studying GOD’s Word
(The Holy Bible)?
KJV Psalms 1:2 But his delight is in the law
of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day
and night.
4. Do you experience persecution of some
kind for your faith in JESUS?
KJV 2 Timothy 3:12 ...and all that will live
godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
John 14:15 If ye love me [JESUS], keep my
commandments.

and equipped to take the torch of Freedom and go
forward to the front lines of the battlefield! Patriot
Academy has a vision to train champions to change
the world! Each year they host Academies around the
Nation to prepare the next generation for the war of
worldviews they will face.
At the Academy, students undergo rigorous
training at the Idaho Capitol, in Boise and participate
in fast paced, realistic mock legislative activities. They
conduct House floor sessions, committee meetings,
pass good bills and strike down bad bills. They
learn the fine art of persuasion and communication,
statesmanship and sacrifice. The Foundation of
America’s Christian Heritage and the wisdom of our
founding fathers are imparted to students and they
leave with an understanding of how imperative it is
to reclaim that heritage.
Encouraged to live a life with no reserves,
no retreats, and no regrets, each young person
in attendance answers the call and
displays
insurmountable drive, ingenuity and conviction.
These are not apathetic or uninformed American
teenagers. These are young men and women of
incredible character, conviction, courage, and a clear
sense of purpose.
Patriot Academy is not your average summer
camp. Those in attendance are not there to be
entertained, although the Academy is incredibly fun!
Students are required to act with character and respect,
putting the needs of others before themselves...
servant-leadership. Tough issues are not ignored
and students tackle immigration, marriage, taxes,
religious liberty, sanctity of life, education, healthcare
and many more important topics.
Patriot Academy encourages students to think
critically about proposed legislation using what PA
calls the “LIFT” principles.

Timeless Truths

During the week, students campaign for the
offices of Governor and Speaker of the House for
the 2016 Northwest Regional Patriot Academy.
Elizabeth Harris from Idaho (also former Patriot
Academy Speaker of the House) was elected as
this year’s Governor. Second year student Whitney
Taylor from Washington State was elected as this
year’s Speaker of the House. These Cabinet members
will be promoting the Academy throughout the year
as well as staying involved in their communities.
Students come from Idaho, Oregon, Washington
Colorado, Missouri, and several other states.
One of the highlights of the Academy is the
graduation ceremony, where local veterans place
the Torch of Freedom medals around the students’
necks, symbolizing the act of handing the sacred
responsibility of preserving freedom down to the
next generation.
The students also have an opportunity to sign
a copy of the Declaration of Independence if they
are ready, like our founders, to pledge their lives,
fortunes, and sacred honor for the cause of freedom.
This act is taken very seriously, as it should be. For
what greater cause is there then that of reclaiming and
preserving the God given freedom that our nation has
now taken for granted? American youth are getting
ready. Reinforcements are on the way. So stand firm,
keep fighting!

For our March 11, 2016 meeting, we are planning
a return engagement with Dr. John De Massa,
organic chemist, who spoke to us two years ago on
the subject of dinosaur soft tissue in fossil bones and
the chemical feasibility of claims that it could survive
for millions of years, buried in rocks. Since then,
he co-authored a paper on this subject with Dr. Ed
Boudreaux, which was published in a special issue of
the Creation Research Society Journal.
John DeMassa holds a PhD in organic chemistry
from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, and
a Masters of Divinity from Liberty University. He is
a Founder and President of The New England School
of Theology in Fairfield, CT. He and co-founder
Dr. Ray Pennoyer have worked to bring evangelical
scholarship to Connecticut in the form of classes,
articles, and conferences on a variety of theological
and apologetic subjects. John preaches part time at
a retirement home, and also works full time as an
industrial chemist designing antioxidants.
Dr. De Massa will discuss the question of
chemical evolution, providing a reassessment of the
evolutionary theory of life from chemicals. His slide
presentation is entitled, “Is it Primordial Soup Yet?”
RMCF presentations are open and free to the public.

Jesus Christ. Enable us, by Your Spirit, to no longer
be secret agent Christians but rather to publicly
declare and live out Your truth in a spirit of love so
that You feel welcome in our country once again.
Thank You for Your promise to hear our prayers
when we call to You with hearts of repentance and
obedience, which is how we are appealing to You
today, Father. On behalf of Your church, we affirm
afresh the priority You are to us that You would fill
every dimension of our lives as we seek to bring You
glory through the advancement of Your kingdom in
our personal lives, our family lives, and in the lives
of our churches and our government leaders. We
confidently invite heaven’s intervention into all the
affairs of our nation and we praise You in advance
for Your answer.
In Jesus’ name we pray... Amen.

meaningless repetitions of words when we pray.
(Mathew 6:7
There is a lot of prayer that never reaches
God. “The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with
himself” (Luke 18:11). “One who turns away his
ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer shall be
an abomination.” (Proverbs 28:9). It is outside the
scope of this lesson to talk about prayers offered to
false gods or to the devil. Also, we will not look at
religious prayers or traditional prayers that can be
uttered without heart. We will be considering prayers
that come from one who has repented of his sins to
the best of his knowledge, and who walks by faith.
The purpose of salvation is to restore lost people
to relationship with God our Father. Through the
cross of Jesus, the barriers to that relationship were
removed. When we begin to trust God once again and
turn from our sin, He comes into our lives to begin a
new relationship of love with us. God is in every true
Christian (Romans 8:9,10; John 14:23; Revelation
3:20; 2 Corinthians 13:5). Our faith and love towards
God will lead us to recognize His presence with us,
to talk with Him, to listen to Him, to sense Him. This
is prayer. We express our thanks, our faith, our love,
our hopes with God in prayer, and we receive from
Him answers, assurance, guidance, peace, strength,
power, revelation of who He is and what He wants to
do. (Matthew 7:7-8; John 16:13; Philippians 4:6-7;

What is Prayer?
For true Christians, prayer [Gk: “proseuche”] is
communion with God. Through prayer we actually
experience relationship with God. The quality
of our prayer life then determines the quality of
our relationship with God. Prayer is talking with
God. Prayer is listening to God. Prayer is enjoying
the presence of God. It can take many forms – for
example: worship, confession, thanksgiving, praise,
petition (asking for things), waiting (silent, listening
and sensing of God) and warfare (command).
Prayer is not simply saying words. It is not
repeating formulas. God is looking for heartfelt
relationship. We are told by Jesus not to make

ability of a nominee to answer difficult questions of
“jurisprudence” is accepted as proof of qualification,
rather than any serious examination of the nominee’s
past track record. Were the history of any Obama
or Clinton nominee seriously included in the
confirmation process, not a single one of them could
be deemed fit to serve on any high federal court.
Yet the Republican Establishment has at its
disposal another empty platitude by which to dodge
this constitutional responsibility. At some point,
morally bankrupt and rudderless political players
began mouthing the empty platitude that “the
president should be allowed his choice of nominees.”
In their world, this is what passes for statesmanship.
But in truth it embodies every despicable precept of
an elitist “Ruling Class.” More ominously still, it
undermines an essential check on the power of the
presidency to morph the court into an unaccountable
cornerstone of metastasizing tyranny.
Fortunately, Senator Ted Cruz (R.-TX) has
promised to stand in unshakable opposition to the
prospect of Barack Obama putting this final nail into
the coffin of constitutional government. And given the
consistency of Cruz’s past willingness to stand (alone
if necessary) against the evil liberal tide, America
can be confident that he will keep his word. Of less
certainty is whether the Republican Senate majority,
which from a purely constitutional perspective has
www.imcnews.org
the absolute authority to stop Obama’s evil plan dead
in its tracks, will rise to the challenge and stand in the
gap for America.
Phony liberal hysterics and raucous media
backlash are absolutely inevitable. The Washington
Post is already caterwauling that opposition to an
Obama nominee might signal disaster for the GOP
in November. And if recent history is any indicator,
America can expect a brief token “opposition” effort
from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and
the Republican Establishment, followed once again
by total betrayal. Yet at this juncture, McConnell
is to be credited for espousing the right principles.
Perhaps it is overly optimistic to hope that he stays
the course. On the other hand, if he does remain
true to his words of the past few days, and is able
to maintain solidarity among Senate Republicans, it
would represent a glimmer of the principles which
they were elected to uphold.

a popular weekly column that appeared throughout the
Internet. During the course of his
political involvement, he came
to the realization that liberalism
is alive and well inside of the
GOP. And it is there that it must
be overcome if conservatism

modern politics. It was for this
reason that he and Chip McLean
established Rinotracker.us. E-mail Christopher G.

Chip McLean is the founder
and publisher of Outsider News
Publishing (formerly CHCH News
Publishing), the umbrella for Rino
Tracker, Capitol Hill Outsider and
Capitol Hill Coffee House. Chip
is a former broadcaster and veteran sales professional
whose interest in politics began in 1964 at the age of
eight, when his parents took him to a Barry Goldwater
rally during the presidential campaign. He identifies
himself as a “constitutionalist” who has witnessed an
out-of-control federal government – with the “help” of
both major parties – disregard the very document they
are sworn to uphold. When he was approached by longtime friend and writer Chris Adamo about the concept
of the Rino Tracker, Chip knew he should help to bring
the project to life.

News Update
Continued from Page 4
My wife and I also admired the wonderful job
Eric did raising those two boys to adulthood —
taking on that task on his own when those boys were
still extremely young.
A memorial service for Eric will be held Feb. 20
in Portland, and I am expecting those attending will
share many wonderful stories about the impact he
had on them.
My guess is that there probably aren’t newspapers
in Heaven as we know them. I have a hunch that
other forms of communication probably are utilized
there. But if there are newspapers, or anything
resembling them, I have no doubt that Eric will be
the first to jump right in and go to work spreading
the word on what exciting things are going on in the
heavenly realm.
And he will make the Northwest corner of
Heaven his base of operations, of course.
Eric, we miss you very much, our dear friend, but
we are happy for where you are now. Give those big
hugs to everyone there.
Meanwhile, we are getting back to work here at
Christian News Northwest — I know that’s exactly
what you would want us to do.

My Reflections
on my time with
Eric Stiller
I remember meeting Eric along with John
Fortmeyer the first time in Newberg, Oregon of
2002 when Treasure Valley Christian News (d.b.a.
IMCNews) was just starting out. It was a blessing to
be with Eric on several occasions over the years. Eric
was such an inspirational individual and had a great
testimony. We had some great food and fellowship
together! Saturday February 20, I attended Erick’s
memorial service in Portland, Oregon in the Western
Seminary Chapel. I miss you Eric.

she has already
named a bad one:
Jeh Johnson.
Pictured above: Jeh Johnson
Jeh Johnson
is a former Pentagon lawyer who deliberately
homosexualized the military, and fundamentally
misunderstands the First Amendment and Religious
Freedom, as proven by this signed memo.
In this signed memo JEH JOHNSON FORCED
MILITARY CHAPLAINS TO OPEN THEIR
CHAPELS TO HOMOSE XUAL “WEDDING”
CEREMONIES. He did it without Congressional
approval, legislating from the Pentagon, and you
think he won’t legislate from the Bench? Wrong
answer. This leftist radical is a non-starter if you call
both your Senators at 202-225-3121.
Let’s petition Congress to protect Pastors’ right
to preach about politics in the pulpit:
SIGN
PETITION,
demanding
PULPIT
FREEDOM for Pastors and Churches to freely
endorse and oppose political candidates, and we
will instantly fax all 535 Congressmen and Senators
(saving you much time and postage!)
Friends, our Congress must vote on the record, for
or against pulpit freedom. Let’s take a stand today,
and demand free speech be restored to churches and
pastors.
God Bless you, in Jesus’ name,

Celebrate the Resurrection of JESUS

Sunrise Service in the Northwest. This year’s service
will begin at 7:20 AM (Daylight Savings Time) on
Sunday March 27, 2016 with a special guest speaker.
Those who attend will still need to dress warmly as
well as bring a blanket to sit on and wrap around
them.
she sold her entire farm holdings to Charles and
Eula Taylor. The Taylors however, in1942, split the
original property and sold the 40 acre Lizard Butte
portion to the Association for $400.00.
As we look back over the years and think about
the services, how wonderful it is that through a faith
in a Risen Christ and with the cooperation of many
people of different faiths from the community, the
story of the Lord’s resurrection has sounded forth
from this lava outcropping to inspire and bless the
thousands who have attended the services through
the years.
The hope of the Lizard Butte Sunrise Association
is that the One who gave His life for us, who arose
from the tomb on Easter Sunday, who later ascended
into Heaven, and who will one day return to this earth,
continues to bless our future Easter Sunrise Services,
and that His blessing and inspiration will touch many
lives as the community comes together for the annual
Lizard Butte Sunrise Service this Easter morning.
The history of this service is also quite unique.
Lizard Butte is located east of Marsing, Idaho on
the banks of the Snake River and is one of Idaho’s
“natural wonders.” Geologically, the butte is a half
crater, and reminder of prehistoric days when the
entire area was a seething mass of lava beds. Early
pioneers named the formation Lizard Butte because
of its resemblance to a huge lizard.
For more information, call (208) 454-9001.
In the spring of 1937, Ray and Marion Stafford
attended an Easter Sunrise Service while on vacation.
After they returned to Marsing, Mrs. Stafford was
looking out her window at Lizard Butte and thought
it would be a great place for a Sunrise Service. She
shared her thoughts with a friend, Mrs. Thomas
Harris, and they in turn projected the idea to Mr. D.
D. Ulrich. Together this small group sent messages
to all the surrounding communities and asked each
to send a representative to a planning meeting. On
February l4, 1938, they met and made plans for a
Sunrise Service. During the planning for a community
Sunrise Service, Lizard Butte Sunrise Association was
organized and Mr. Ulrich was elected as President.
Mrs. Harris was elected as Secretary/Treasurer. The
first service on Lizard Butte was held April l7, l938
with approximately l,000 people.
For the first service, a temporary platform
was erected and the hill terraced for seating (the
original terracing marks can still be seen today).
Also, a wooden cross was designed and built by Mr.
Ulrich and put on the highest peak. The cross was
burned by vandals two years later and was replaced
by one constructed of reinforced concrete. For its
construction, work crews transported the materials
for the new cross, with the aid of a horse drawn sled,
to the platform where the cement was transferred
to buckets and hand-carried to the top of the hill
by bucket brigade. The large white concrete cross,
looms strong and stately above the valley where it
brings hope and promise to many busy lives below.
For the last several years the board has been
working on raising funds to put a permanent roof on
the shell. These improvements will element the need
to put a tarp over the shell each year.
The program has followed a similar pattern
from the beginning. As the sun rises, the service
commences with a bugle call and the appearance of
two angels at the foot of the cross. The Old Rugged
Cross is sung and a scripture reading from Matthew
28:1-10 and 16-20 is read.
In order to insure that the Sunrise Service would
continue to take place for a long time to come, the
Association decided to buy the Lizard Butte property.
Attempts to purchase the property directly from its
owner Martha Dugdale failed to materialize, and
