INFORMATION FOR ALL EVENTS (Additional Information at http://www.dachshundclubofamerica.org/dca-2016/) Grounds Information: The site will be available for you to set up at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 25, 2016. Please keep your set-ups clean, clean up after your dogs and do not leave trash on the field trial grounds. Please note that parking and set-up space for xpens is limited so please remember to leave space for other participants. At all times gates must be closed and latched upon entering and leaving the fields. No smoking is permitted on the grounds or in the clubhouse Practice: No practicing will be allowed on the club grounds. Clubhouse: There is a clubhouse on the grounds with restroom and shower facilities. Please bring your own towel for shower use. In addition, to the clubhouse restrooms, we will have Porta-potties available for participants' convenience. Roll call and meals will be held in the clubhouse. Please help us to keep the clubhouse clean. No dogs in the Clubhouse except for Award photos. Dress: It is recommended that sturdy shoes or boots and durable clothing be worn. Bring appropriate gear, as the trial will be run rain or shine. Running order: The size of the entry and field /weather conditions will dictate whether classes are run consecutively or concurrently. The potential class running order for both events are specified above. The committee may make changes to the running order as needed to expedite the event. DCA Field Events Awards Dinner: The dinner will be held at the Wyoming Valley Beagle Club on Thursday, April 28, 2016. The dinner must be prepaid by April 18, 2016 using the attached Meal Reservation Form. RV & Camping: There will be reserved overnight camping available in designated spaces on the beagle grounds for motor homes, trailers, tents, and other vehicles for a fee as well as 5 unisex beds in the clubhouse. However, RV reservations are limited. Electric is also limited. Working club members and judges will be given priority for both RV parking and electric. All others will be on a first come first served basis determined by the date the reservation form is received. Some areas having electric outlets may be unavailable for parking heavier rigs as the ground will be extremely soft if rains ahead of the event. The rate is $10 a day for those staying overnight on the grounds. For RV’s not having electric hookups, generator exhaust must be directed away from other RV’s/ campers. Camping includes people staying in tents as well as staying in their vehicle. All RV’s and campers must be off the grounds by 9:00pm April 29th unless otherwise arranged. (See attached reservation form) There is no dumping of RV holding tanks on the ground. All RV, camping, and clubhouse beds must be reserved by April 18, 2016 using the attached RV/Camping/Bed Reservation Form. Please note that this form is sent to Dave Simmons as noted on the form. Go 5.3 miles and take left exit onto US11 and merge onto PA Rt 29 North. Slight left on PA Rt 29 North/US11 South/East Poplar St. Continue for 1.1 miles. Turn right in town (West Nanticoke) at the bottom of the hill, PA Rt 29 North/South Mill St. Go up the twisting road (hairpin like turns) for 6.0 miles and make a left onto Moon Lake Rd at the Moon Lake State Park sign. It’s the size of a small billboard. Go 0.3 miles. Road continues to the left, but you bear right staying on Hartman Rd. Hartman Rd makes a sharp left immediately after the equipment yard on your right. Go straight through the gate (Wyoming Beagle Club sign to the left of the gate) and continue up the road until it dead ends at the Wyoming Beagle Club. However, RV reservations are limited. Electric is also limited. Working club members and judges will be given priority for both RV parking and electric. All others will be on a first come first served basis determined by the date the reservation form is received.
