Transport: To Le Méridien Etoile Hotel ‐ By car: There is a public car park in Le Méridien Etoile hotel at € 3.40 per hour. As of the 12th hour, the rate for a full day applies at € 31.80. Please note that guests who are staying at the hotel receive a 20% discount with a voucher obtained from the hotel’s concierge desk. ‐ By train from Paris: you can reach the hotel by taking either the RER (train) or the metro. The RER station is Neuilly ‐ Porte Maillot – RER C, it is located within a 5mn walk from the hotel. The metro station is Porte Maillot‐ Line 1, it is located within a 5mn walk from the hotel. Please see the plan of the Metro/RER in Appendix 1 as well as the plan of the surrounding of the hotel in Appendix 2. ‐ From Charles de gaulles Airport: Different choices are possible: o Air France shuttle each 20‐30mn and stop just in front of the hotel (“Porte Maillot”): Line 2: Etoile – Porte Maillot / Aéroport Paris‐Charles de Gaulle Price: € 17,00 Duration: about 1 hour, depending on the traffic o RER B until “Chatelet‐Les‐Halles” , then Metro “Line 1” direction “La defense” and stop “Porte Maillot” Price: € 9,50 Duration: about 1 hour o Taxi should cost around € 50,00. ‐ From Orly Airport: Different choices: o Air France shuttle each 20‐30mn stop “Place de l’Etoile” and after 10mn walk (see map below) Line 1: Gare Montparnasse / Invalides / Etoiles / Aéroport Paris‐Orly Price : € 12,00 Duration : about 1 hour, depending on the traffic o Taxi should cost around € 50,00. For departures, guests are advised to leave the hotel minimum 4hrs ahead of flight time. From the Méridien Etoile Hotel to Philibert Delorme Coaches will bring the participants from Le Meridien Hotel to the Conference Hall and then back to the Hotel at the end of the day. The coaches will leave the Hotel at 08:00. An alternative is to use Public Buses. From Hotel, go to Bus Station “General Koening ‐ Palais des Congres – Bus RATP” (see map below). Take the line PC3 heading “Porte de la Chapelle‐Metro” and get out at the bus station « Porte d’Asnières », which is right in front of Conference Hall Philibert Delorme. From Philibert Delorme to the Méridien Etoile Hotel For Public buses, go to the Bus Station “Porte D’Asnières” which is right in front of Conference Hall Philibert Delorme (opposite side of Boulevard Berthier). Take the line PC3 heading “Porte Maillot ‐ Pershing”. Get out at the bus station « General Koening ‐ Palais des Congres » which is at walking distance from the hotel (see map below). Cloakroom and luggage facility A cloakroom will be available at Conference Hall. Badges Participants should wear the RES badge throughout day and evening activities. Badges will identify the workshop you registered for. Participants are split into several groups for Dinner & Social event, which are identified by a colour on your badge. Please follow the colour indications matching the sticker on your badge. Running tour A non‐compulsory and non‐guided running tour in the Bois de Boulogne will be proposed on Wednesday 27th March morning. Please bring sportswear with you, if you would like to join. First aid ­ Emergencies The Emergency number is 112. It applies for police, ambulance and Fire Brigade. In case of Emergency, kindly also inform the seminar organisation (Romain Crehay: +32.477.96.02.21 or Maxime Kelder: +32.479.13.16.07). Currency and Credit Card The unit of currency in Paris is the EURO. Cash machines are widely available throughout the city. There is an ATM in front of Conference Hall. All major credit cards are widely accepted throughout Paris in shops, restaurants, hotels etc. Some places might charge a fee when accepting foreign credit cards as payment. Be sure to bring your PIN code when using a credit card in Paris. Foreign exchange facilities can be found at the airport, railway station and major banks. Internet Access Free Wi‐fi connexion is available in both Conference Hall Philibert Delorme and Le Meridien Etoile Hotel. Language The conference language, including all presentations, is English. Organizers’ identification Should you have any question do not hesitate to inquiry to organization staff. They will wear a red badge. Power Numerous power sockets are available at the Conference Hall to charge up your electronic devices. Sockets are CEE 7/5 type (220V‐50Hz). Do not forget your plug adaptor. Registration Desk Seminar registration desk will be open from 8h30 to 10h00. Afterwards, please ask security staff for access and registration. Smoking Policy / Area The entire Conference Hall Philibert Delorme is a strict non‐smoking area. Participants are kindly invited to smoke outside of building. Taxi A taxi line can be found in front of Philibert Delorme Conference Hall and Le Meridien Etoile Hotel. Staff at reception desk will be pleased to help you book a taxi.
