This intensive program is designed to train dentists in all aspects of implant surgery and restoration. Participants will perform multiple implant surgeries on live patients throughout the program (pending license and patient approval.) Our prestigious faculty will guide you through each step of the process from treatment planning to basic implant placement to advanced grafting procedures and prosthetic reconstructions. The 24-days of learning will take place over 6 modules (1-week/ module). Extensive time will be spent in hands-on workshops, in live surgery, and with faculty demonstrations. We have gathered some of the best and brightest clinicians and researchers from around the world in the field of implant dentistry to enhance your training experience. The techniques, methods, and materials presented will be scientifically backed and well proven in clinical practice. Dr. L.B. - Santa Monica CA 1 Module Jan 11-15, 2016 Interdisciplinary Implant Dentistry “Team Approach” Module 1 will set the stage for the entire program. We will be covering the fundamentals of implant surgery and restoration. Our goal with module 1 is to prepare and provide a comprehensive overview to the participating clinician in all phases of implant dentistry, including surgical and prosthodontic principles which can be immediately implemented by the clinician in their own practices. - Treatment planning - Surgical and Prosthodontic principles - Review of Head Neck Anatomy - Selection of appropriate radiologic studies and techniques - Implant surgical and prosthetic techniques 2 Module May 9-13, 2016 Prosthodontic and Surgical Perspectives in Implant Dentistry During module 2, the attendees will have the opportunity to present, treatment plan, work-up including radiographic guides as well as surgical templates, and perform surgical and prosthodontic procedures on patients. - Diagnostic records, work-up, fabrication of radiographic guides - Ordering appropriate radiographic studies - Fabrication of surgical templates - Management of extraction sockets in preparation for implants - Fully edentulous, partially edentulous, and single tooth treatment - Fabrication of provisional restorations - Fixed versus removable prosthetics - Cement-retained versus screw-retained prosthesis 3 Module Sep 5-9, 2016 Advanced Surgical and Prosthodontic Implant Principles and Techniques Module 3 will provide you with in depth understanding of advanced implant techniques, biomaterials, and loading protocols. Workshop exercises will train you with skills to carry out the advanced techniques with confidence. Participation in live surgeries will continue. - Sinus augmentation - Correction of vertical and horizontal ridge deficiencies - Use of growth factors and autologous platelet concentrates - Custom impression copings and abutments - CAD/CAM scanning and milling - New restorative materials 3 Digital Dentistry and Applications in Implant Dentistry 4 Module Jan 23-27, 2017 Session 4 will go in depth on the process of planning and treating your implant cases using digital technology. Workshop exercises will provide you with training on the use of guided implant planning software program, use of CAD/CAM generated surgical template, guided surgery, fabrication and delivery of guided prosthesis. - DICOM files and software planning programs - Guided surgical templates and procedures - Guided approach for fully edentulous, partially edentulous, and single missing tooth Prevention and Management of Implant Treatment Complications Complications are an inevitable part of implant treatment. This module will provide you the knowledge and skills necessary to minimize their occurrence and to provide proper management techniques when necessary. Participation in live surgeries will continue. 5 Module May 8-12, 2017 - Common errors and pitfalls in implant treatment - Prevention and management of complications - Peri-implantitis - Osteonecrosis of the Jaw Implant Dentistry - Putting it all together The final module will solidify the principles, skills and knowledge gained throughout the program.
