GENERAL
APPLICATIONS
Our Rubber Fabrication Division has years
of experience in helping customers with their
application needs. We manufacture gaskets,
seals, insulators and cushions that are die
cut, water jet cut, slit to fit or fabricated with a
combination of processes. Whether it is a
simple part or a complex composite, our
knowledgeable team will collaborate with you
to design, prototype, and manufacture parts
that meet your exacting requirements.
GASKETS:
A GASKET is a mechanical seal that fills the gap
between two objects, preventing leakage. A certain
amount of “give” is beneficial to allow the gasket to
deform and tightly fill the uneven surfaces.
COMMON APPLICATIONS FOR GASKETS:
 Weather stripping, EMI/RFI shielding, electrical
enclosures, leak protection
EXAMPLES: Flexible connectors, water and air filters, high temperature tapes,
coupler gaskets, weather strips for windows, doors, and enclosures

SEALS:
A SEAL is a mechanical device which helps join
systems or objects together, preventing leakage
associated with pressure or contamination.
COMMON APPLICATIONS FOR SEALS:
 Moisture barriers, weather strips, diaphragms,
separators, pressure barriers
EXAMPLES: Specialty sealing and bonding tapes, custom O-rings, oil seals,
adhesive strips, PTFE and polyimide tapes, water filters, aeration pads, plugs
INSULATORS:
An INSULATOR is a material that reduces or eliminates
the flow of heat, electricity, sound or vibration.
COMMON APPLICATIONS FOR INSULATORS:
 EMI/RFI and thermal shielding, sound absorption and
noise control, thermal conductors, covers, gap fillers
EXAMPLES: Acoustical foam and panels, vibration pads, sound deadening
pads, plastic protective panels, vinyl seating covers, mufflers, conductive foam
and tapes, thermally conductive materials, moisture absorption barrier pads, foam
wraps, head set foam, microphone foam, wave solder protection tapes, plating
and fume tapes, ear bud foam, clear visors, safety helmet liners, memory foam
pads and pillows
CUSHIONS:
A CUSHION helps protect items from vibration, shock or
impact, related to its environment or associated
transporting of the object.
COMMON APPLICATIONS FOR CUSHIONS:
 Vibration damping, shock absorption, foot pads,
shelf liners, floor mats, non-slip pads, abrasion pads,
surface protection and covers.
EXAMPLES: Anti-slip materials for production processes, friction and wear pad
bumpers, cushions, packaging foam and spacers, carpeting, quiver foam, case
inserts, peal and stick foam pads, head set foam, cab liner foam, ear bud foam,
memory foam pads and pillows
