New Zealand Your Way
New Zealand Your Way provides a range of Self Drive and Seat-inCoach touring modules that are tailored especially for the independent
traveller in New Zealand. ATS Pacific New Zealand’s carefully designed
itineraries feature three ranges of hotel accommodation, a choice
of Standard, Superior and First Class categories, which have been
selected because of convenience, service, and value for money. With
each itinerary a traveller can choose to travel in a rental car on a Self
Drive basis, or on daily tourist class coach services on a Seat-in-Coach
basis. All services are pre-booked.
Itineraries
Photo: Arno Gasteiger
We have carefully planned an array of special and unique New Zealand
holidays. These holiday itineraries range from short stays in the North
Island only, through to extensive programmes that include both the
North and South Islands of New Zealand and that will see you visit
New Zealand’s top points of interest. You will find the selection of New
Zealand Your Way itineraries on page 5.
Accommodation
We have selected the best value accommodation, in three standards.
On page 6-9 you will find a summary of the Standard, Superior and
First Class hotels included in your package options.
Seat in Coach Option
For the ultimate relaxation select a Seat-in-Coach tour which combines
daily tourist class coach services, quality accommodation and popular
sightseeing activities on Great Sights and Intercity coaches. All coaches
have large panoramic windows, air conditioning and comfortable
seating. Most coaches have a rest room, on coach video and twin
doors allowing easier access. Coach driver/guides are experienced,
friendly and willing to help during the touring day. On most sectors
they provide an informative commentary and luggage service. Foreign
language commentary is also available (through headphones) on
most touring routes (Japanese and Mandarin). As these modules are
designed for independent travellers, without the structure of a group
tour, it is important to note that you will travel with different drivers
and passengers each day. The meeting of new friends is one of the
highlights of a New Zealand Your Way Seat-in-Coach Tour.

Photo Maui Motorhome - Platinum Beach
Motorhome Option
Enjoy the freedom of touring around New Zealand in a spacious, fully
equipped motorhome. Visit beautiful lakes, beaches and mountains as
you travel around the country at your own pace.
Self Drive Option
For the ultimate flexibility, select a Self-Drive tour, which combines a
rental car, quality accommodation and popular sightseeing activities.
You will find driving through New Zealand a pleasure. The scenery
is superb, the roads of a high standard and the people friendly and
courteous. New Zealand’s roads are of a good quality, although
sometimes narrow and winding. The majority of main roads are sealed
and free of congestion. For your Self Drive tour, choose from a variety
of vehicle categories to easily accommodate your travelling party and
luggage needs (see page 4).

The America’s Cup is the world’s oldest and most prestigious sporting
trophy and ultimate yachting regatta. Usually the domain of billionaires
and elite professional yachties. These yachts offer the unique opportunity
for everyone to participate in sailing on grand prix racing machines.
Take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or sit back, relax and enjoy
the sail. No experience necessary.
An on water dining experience is not to be missed in Auckland, the “City
of Sails”. Enjoy great sailing and as the sun sets watch the night lights of
the cityscape come alive. Yachts are purpose built for maximum comfort
in the well appointed dining saloons. Choose from a set menu served by
the crew during the dinner stop at a sheltered mooring.
Hauraki Blue Cruises
Hauraki Blue Lunch Cruise
Escape city life as the cruise catamaran Ipipiri glides out of Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour and your lunch cruise adventure begins. Your skipper
will provide an entertaining commentary as you take in highlights of the beautiful Waitemata Harbour, Auckland Harbour Bridge and the seaside
suburb of Devonport. Enjoy a delicious lunch showcasing top quality local produce as you cruise past scenic highlights like the famous landmark
of Rangitoto Island. Discover the fascinating history of little Motuihe, with its golden sandy beaches and quiet coves, and cruise past the smooth
green hills of Browns Island.
Hauraki Blue Overnight Cruise
Experience a unique one night cruise around Auckland’s harbour and outlying islands with Hauraki Blue Cruises. Step on board the cruise
ship Ipipiri and set off from Viaduct Harbour, taking in Auckland harbour highlights and Devonport as your journey begins, gliding through the
sparkling waters of the Waitemata Harbour and out into the Hauraki Gulf. Glide by iconic Rangitoto Island, formed by a huge volcanic eruption
around 600 years ago; neighbouring Motutapu, one of the earliest places inhabited by Māori; and other islands with fascinating history. You’ll

Enjoy the relaxed environment on board your Hauraki Blue cruise, where you can choose to do as much or as little as you like. Try kayaking or
snorkelling in the clear Pacific Ocean waters before relaxing with a refreshing drink on the top deck as the sun sets. Your experienced crew
will find a sheltered cove to moor in overnight. Dine on fresh local produce complemented by New Zealand wines and enjoy the peaceful
atmosphere, before retiring to your ocean view cabin for the night. All rooms have private ensuites and uninterrupted sea views, so you can
