Software & Technology
MEMD use the latest in CAD and drafting software, including 2/3D and are constantly
upgrading their systems with the latest technological advances. The company has also
developed its own hull resistance and structural design programs for in-house use.

International classification and survey authorities
* Conducted market valuations, technology valuations, project cost and construction
estimates, product market reviews and advice
* Provide owners with on site representation during construction. Commissions include:
− Preparation of concept designs & bid specifications
− Technical representation during tender negotiations & throughout the contract
− Construction inspections & commissioning attendance
− Milestone payment inspections & progress reporting
− Contract variation review & reporting
with many shipyards becoming repeat customers, such as Image Marine (Aust),
New Westcoaster (Aust), Legend Boats (Aust), Imax Marine (Aust), Cheoy Lee
Shipyards (China) and Kay Marine (Malaysia)
MEMD has acted on behalf of a number of owners by assisting with Design/Owners
Representation on a variety of vessels including Motor Yachts, Fishing Vessels,
Catamarns, Luxury Charter Vessels , Fishing Vessels. Vessels from 5 metres through to 72 metres.

INFORM has been established to supply MEMD designed lightweight aluminium and
composite vessels as technology packages. From plasma cut aluminium to full
equipment supply, packages can be tailored to suit each builder. Packages provided
include the following equipment and materials :

A fully experienced construction supervisor is available on all contracts to ensure
quality and pedigree of the product. Construction management and training can be
provided for new ventures or existing yards who wish to incorporate the new
technology.

Than Long Company - Vietnam
Inform has signed an agreement with this established government steel shipyard
to provide all materials, supervision and training for the construction of new
aluminium vessels. MEMD/INFORM and Than Long are presently negotiating
various contracts with local ferry operators and government agencies.

Supply of aluminium kit for 4 off MEMD 9m Pursuit Craft built for the Mauritius
Police Force.
