SAVOUR THE DIFFERENCE
Snowshoeing fans have nine trails to
choose from, which range in length
from 1.6 to 18 kilometres. They are
accessible from the Discovery
and Visitors Centre. Three mechanically groomed cross country skiing
trails are also available in the same
sector. For short backcountry skiing
excursions, marked and ungroomed
trails are available from different
sectors. In the snow fields, you can
also enjoy sliding sports such as
telemark.
TIME, SPAC E, AND SILENC E
ESCAPE THE ORDINARY
Get away on the trails of Parc
national de la Gaspésie for a short
30-minute hike or for the entire
day. To reach certain trails, you
can take a shuttle bus from the
Discovery and Visitors Centre. Some
of the trails are fairly flat and do
not require any special equipment,
making them ideal for beginners or
young families. Others, located in
the mountains, require some equipment and hikers must be in good
physical condition. A network of
ten lakes also awaits trout-fishing
buffs. You can rent boats on site.
You can also rent a kayak or canoe
for peaceful meanderings on Lac
Cascapédia.
