Gather your girlfriends - mothers - sisters - daughters! Choose and attend three 90 minute professional and fun workshops including health/body/soul/crafts and fitness! You’ll enjoy a delicious lunch with an inspiring motivational speaker. There will be refreshment breaks, raffles, silent auctions, and a 50/50 draw! Skin Care & Foot Soak: Enjoy a relaxing and detoxifying foot soak as you learn how skin care and nutritional products work the best together to synergistically fight against the aging process from the inside and out. Supply fee $5. NEW 2. Meditation: Discover the spiritual experience of meditation, and the use of music, location, and time to enhance the experience. You will be led through a meditation to promote relaxation, and reduce stress and its effects on your body. 3. Butts and Guts: Enjoy a lower body and core conditioning workout with specific emphasis on strengthening and toning glutes, abdominal and low back muscles. Mats provided! NEW 4. Basics of Watercolour: Come and learn the fundamentals of painting with water colour while creating your own thank you cards. Supply fee $15. NEW 5. Make-up Makeover: This workshop is for women on-the-go, as well as those who just want to experiment with their look. You’ll learn tips for a quick facial, as well as simple makeup application ideas for a day at the office or an evening out. Supply fee $5. 6. Fairy Gardens: Learn about the newest gardening trend, how to create miniature scenes in your garden or in a planter. You will be shown how to arrange fairies, gnomes, tiny houses and accessories—plus the right plants to build your own small world. NEW 7. Communication: Your success depends upon it! Overcome undermining yourself! What does habits, wimpy words, and pauses have to do with being confident, clear and concise. This is a fun, informative workshop! NEW 8. Crystal Healing on the Chakra System: Through the use of Crystals, you will discover their therapeutic properties to the Chakra system. This workshop will give you a basic understanding of the Chakra System and how it relates to our health, the crystal cleaning, recharging, and uses. Supply fee $10. 9. Photography: Do you love taking pictures and want to know how to improve them? Learn about the basics of photography including focusing, lighting, positioning your subject(s) and post processing. Bring whatever you are currently using, point and shoot camera, DSLR, cell phone, etc and you will be helped to become the best photographer you can be with whatever equipment you have! NEW 10. Introduction to Iridology: Learn how to read the iris of the eye. It’s colour and markings, what they mean and how to apply this for improved health and well being.. All this and more will be covered in this information workshop using more than 60 slides. If you would like, bring along a mirror, penlight, or magnifying glass. NEW 11. Decorating Tips and Tricks: Whether renovating or rejuvenating your home, come and learn decorating tips and tricks for enhancing your living space. 12. Let Your Yoga Dance: This is a fusion of chakra/yoga & joyful breath based energizing movements. It is a dance of the multidimensional self, bringing tons of fun & healing to the seven energy centers. No experience necessary. Wear stretchy, comfortable clothes, light indoor shoes or come barefoot. Bring a blanket, towel, or yoga mat. 13. Divining: Come and try your hand at the ancient art of Divining. We will review a short history of the technique and how it developed and then with simple “witching sticks” the workshop will experiment with locating different objects and materials. Bring a friend, bring an open mind and most of all bring a sense of adventure! NEW 14. Floral Arranging—Intermediate: Unleash your inner designer! If you have a love for flowers but would like to learn how to create something a little more challenging than a basic vase arrangement, this is the workshop for you! Enjoy creating a special arrangement to take home. Also, if you have a special container that you would like to use in floral arranging but not sure how to, bring it along and the instructor will help you with tips. Supply fee $10 and bring a sharp pair of scissors. NEW 15. Teacups and Tools: You will be introduced to the safe use of power and hand tools, building confidence around using tools while creating a whimsical bird feeder made from a china cup and saucer and boasting a tin roof. Supply fee $10 and if you have a tea cup and saucer you would like to use, bring it along. NEW 16. Estate Planning: Learn about the most up to date strategies and tools available to you in making Estate Planning decisions! Informing yourself about what decisions you should be making now to ensure your wishes are properly carried out and your loved ones looked after, will give you a plan and peace of mind. NEW 17. Reflexology and Essential Oils: Learn how the ancient method of reflexology can correspond to every part, organ, and gland in your body. Release stress, tension and pain, increase circulation, and give yourself overall better health. Combine that with the power of Essential Oils and you could change your life. Learn some basic home remedies you can do yourself and how Reflexology and Essential Oils work together. NEW 18. Gardening for Beginners: Do you like beautiful flower beds but not the work? What’s the difference between an annual and a perennial? How do you keep it looking good all summer without giving up all your spare time—then this workshop is for you! Our self described “lazy gardener” will help!! NEW 19. Gluten Sensitivity: Fact or Fad?: Move over fat, sugar and salt, there’s a new dietary villain out there, and it’s gluten! Explore the “gluten free” marketing madness that has confused so many of us. Discover the difference between wheat and gluten sensitivities, learn about celiac disease, discuss the best seller “Wheat Belly” and bring your questions to sort out this hot topic! NEW 20. Organize and declutter your home: WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER! Discover easy ways to become more organized in each room of your home. Participants are encouraged to share ideas that work for them so we can learn from one another. We will discuss learning styles and how that impacts your organizational strategies. NEW 21. Yoga: This is for anyone who wants to de-stress. Come and learn some unique breathing techniques, stretch, and let go of that weight on your shoulders. We’ll round it all out with a little massage and a relaxing visualization. Wear stretchy comfortable clothes. Prepare to be barefoot and bring a yoga mat/blanket. NEW 22. Cookies!: Learn how to bake and decorate cookies using different types of icings. We will learn what goes into making a variety of delicious cookies for different occasions! Supply fee $10. NEW
