Proposed Tennis Court Lighting Project Progresses - “Let there be Lights”
The Town of Los Altos Hills Planning Commission held a public hearing on June 24th to
consider the Club’s proposed project and voted 4-1 to recommend that the City Council
approve the project, with some modifications to the conditions of approval. The final
outcome of the Club’s proposed project will be decided at the Los Altos Hills City
Council’s regular meeting and public hearing on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at
7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers located at 26379 Fremont Road, Los
Altos Hills.
Thanks to all of you who wrote emails to the Los Altos Hills Planning Commissioners
about your support of the Club's proposed Tennis Court Lighting project! We believe
those emails had a positive impact on the Commissioners’ votes. And, thanks to all of
you who attended the meeting and spoke during the public comment period. It was
especially helpful that youth and non-members (even past LAH mayors) voices were
also heard. We were pleased that many more spoke in favor of the proposed project
than those opposed.
Please refer to the July 22, 2014 “FHCC – Important Update About Tennis Court
Lighting Application” email to Club members to see what you can do to help achieve
approval from the Los Altos Hills City Council on August 21st.
As mentioned in an email update about the project that was sent to members on May
30, 2014, it is important to restate that, if the Club is successful and receives approval
from the Los Altos Hills City Council, the Finance Committee and Board have
determined that no assessment of the membership would be required to fund the
project.
Any questions may be directed to Scott Domnie, FHCC General Manager,
Jim McLennan, FHCC Tennis Director, or Larry Russell, FHCC Board Secretary. An email
will be sent to the membership after the City Council meeting to inform everyone of its
decision on the Club’s proposed project.

Take advantage of the amazing lesson

by enrolling your beginning swimmers into
the Barracuda Swim School! There are still
2 full week sessions of our summer term

doesn’t mean the fun has to end!
Come out to Trivia Thursdays by the pool!
These are free events where members
mentally stack each other up with fun
themed questions, signature drinks, and
family fun. Extra lifeguards will be staffed
to allow for the adults to focus a little
more intently on the questions.
