Currently, his duties are the Executive Director of Dr Pepper Dallas Cup and serves as a FIFA Match Commissioner in CONCACAF region. Swift began his professional career in broadcasting in 1989 at KFWD, Dallas‟ fledgling Telemundo affiliate, where he advanced from news editor to producer in under two years. In the early 1990‟s, he launched his own television production company specializing in the Hispanic and corporate markets. As a television producer, Swift was the recipient of a Telly and a FREDDIE, among other industry awards. During this time, Swift also served as the Dallas Cup‟s media liaison for seven years, and was on ABC/ESPN‟s production crew for its coverage of the 1994 World Cup. In 1996, Swift joined the Dallas Burn (now FC Dallas), one of the charter franchises in Major League Soccer, as the team‟s Director of Community Relations and Hispanic Media. One year later, Swift was named the Burn‟s Director of Hispanic Marketing, where he started and developed Major League Soccer‟s first Hispanic marketing department. Subsequently, in 1998 and 1999, as Vice President of Marketing and Broadcasting, Swift negotiated broadcast agreements for television and radio, which saw the Burn become the first professional sports team in Dallas to have regular-season games broadcast on both mediums in both English and Spanish. During this time‟s Hispanic marketing initiatives were also nationally recognized within the sports industry. In 2000, Swift was named the Burn‟s President and General Manager, a position he held until 2003. During his first three seasons as the Burn‟s GM, Swift guided the team to consecutive overall attendance and team revenue increases each year. In 2002, the Burn surpassed team records for both season tickets as well as sponsorship sales for the second consecutive year. On the field, the Burn maintained its reputation as one of the most competitive teams in the league, qualifying for the playoffs during each of its first seven seasons. In 2004, Swift was named Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Major League soccer and Soccer United Marketing. A Subsequently, in 2005, Swift launched his Dallas-based business, which continues to offer his clients expert consulting in marketing to Hispanics. Swift, who was raised in five different Latin American countries, is a graduate of Texas Christian University, He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
