Conductor
DR. GERARDO RAMOS – Dr. Ramos established the Sacred Music Concert Series through
his leadership as Director of Music Ministries at Saint William. He holds a Doctorate of Musical
Arts in Voice Performance with Opera Emphasis, a Masters in Music in Opera Performance from
the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor in Music Education from the University of
Texas at El Paso where he studied voice and conducting. In 1995, he started his professional
career singing with El Paso Opera. Since then, he has performed internationally including
appearances in Europe, Central, and South America. Dr. Ramos has also entered many international competitions and has received much accolade. His repertoire as a conductor includes most
of the standard sacred choral works. Dr. Ramos' background as an opera singer illuminates his
work with soloists in vocal, operatic, and concert performances.
