1950’s Autumn Gold
Day 1
Your hosts greet you to the hotel with a welcome drink. 1950’s ration
books will be issued. Bring a penny, the nearest date to ours receives a
bottle of malt. Dinner this evening is a three course affair with coffee.
Day 2
Your first full Scottish breakfast is followed by a full day excursion to
experience the fantastic Autumn Colours. Make sure you are back in
time for a traditional afternoon tea. Dinner this evening is followed by
an evening with our tribute singer “Dean Martin” where you can dance
to your favourite 50’s ballads.
Day 3
After another hearty breakfast, your full day excursion takes you to the
sea-side town of Oban. En-route why not visit the Royal Burgh town of
Inveraray. After an eventful day, you are welcomed back to the hotel
with tea and pancakes. After another sumptuous dinner, dance the
night away to our 50’s Disco.
Day 4
After breakfast, today’s full day excursion includes a cruise on Loch
Katrine on board the famous Sir Walter Scott Paddle Steamer
(depending on schedule). Dinner is followed by our 50’s Bingo
evening, a chance to win a free holiday!
Day 5
Our piper bids you farewell this morning after breakfast and a hot
toddy.

Entertainment each night
Day 1
Yours hosts welcome you to the hotel. After settling in, Dinner this
evening is a sumptuous 3 course affair with coffee which is followed
by entertainment provided for your enjoyment.
Day 2
Your first full Scottish Breakfast is followed by an excursion to The
Trossachs. Recommended excursions include a visit to Glengoyne
Distillery, Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. Dinner this
evening is followed by a traditional Scottish Evening, with dancing to
the skirl o’ the pipes.
Day 3
After another hearty breakfast, your full day excursion takes you to
Edinburgh. Visit the castle and the famous shops of Princes Street.
Dinner is followed by an evening with your host, the management of
the hotel, with games and merriment soaking up the atmosphere of
the 18th Century Inn.
Day 4
Breakfast is followed by an excursion to the Bonnie Banks of Loch
Lomond. You final Evening Meal is followed by more entertainment
featuring Scottish songs, and dancing if you wish.
Day 5
After your last full Scottish breakfast, we bid you a fond farewell.

Everything about the accommodation at the Winnock Hotel is
designed for the ease and comfort of our guests. Each of the
sympathetically decorated en-suite rooms has a colour satellite
TV, direct-dial phone and tea/coffee-making facilities.
Twelve of our bedrooms are on the ground floor and two of
them are fully equipped for those with mobility, visual or hearing difficulties.
Our spacious lounge areas & bar offer space for guests to
unwind and with wireless internet access available, they can
keep in touch with home via email.
We also have a covered and heated outdoor decking area
adjacent to the bar suitable for those who wish to smoke.
Some smoking bedrooms are also available.

The Winnock Hotel is renowned for its hospitality & good food.
In the Highlander restaurant, guests can enjoy the very best of
Local produce, creatively prepared by our brigade of chefs.
Menus regularly feature Highland beef, lamb and venison and
from local shores, the best fish & seafood.
Our Ptarmigan Bar offers an extensive selection of ales, spirits and
wines and with a speciality range of over 40 malt whiskies, guests
are spoiled for choice. Our popular bar meals are served all day
and throughout the season, regular live entertainment rounds off
the perfect evening.
Our function room which can seat up to 150 guests is the venue
for our Ceilidh Nights - each Sunday night from Easter to October,
£6 per person. We also host regular Scottish shows including
dinner for £24 per person or £16 supplement to resident DBB
guests. Runs most Monday & Tuesday nights from May until
September (call to check availability).




James IV, the marvellous Renaissance Palace of James V and the Chapel

Edinburgh Castle
Magnificent site with excellent historic exhibition including the Crown
Jewels and Stone of Destiny, also Mons Meg - a huge 500 year old siege
