2011 Torre De Barreda Tempranillo Winery: Bodegas Barreda, Corral de Almaguer, Toledo, Central Spain Blend: 100% Tempranillo Appellation: Vino de la Tierra de Castilla Notes: Red fruit notes of strawberry, cherry and cranberry with a touch of licorice and anise. A wide wine with a fresh and sweet taste and balanced acidity. Mature tannins, as well as a lingering, long finish. Aged: 6 months in oak. This wine is distributed in Indiana exclusively by Tiedemann Wines. 2010 Torre De Barreda Amigos Winery: Bodegas Barreda, Corral de Almaguer, Toledo, Central Spain Blend: 65% Tempranillo, 25% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Appellation: Vino de la Tierra de Castilla Eye: Bright garnet red. Nose: Great balance between fruit and oak. Red raspberry, blackberry and blueberry fruit. Floral notes of violet. Toasted notes of dried fruits, coffee, vanilla and anise. Mouth: Long and intense. Noble and polished tannins. Good acidity. Aged: 12 months in French and American oak; 6 months in concrete deposit. This wine is distributed in Indiana exclusively by Tiedemann Wines. 2010 Torre De Barreda Pañofino Winery: Bodegas Barreda, Corral de Almaguer, Toledo, Central Spain Blend: 100% Tempranillo Appellation: Vino de la Tierra de Castilla Eye: Cherry red color with purple flashes. Nose: Big charge of matured fruit and oak in great balance. Notes of black fruit and ripe plums. Mineral, spices (cinnnamon, vanilla, clove), cocoa, balsamic tones. Mouth: Long, ample and full-bodied. High presence of polished, noble and silky tannins. Aged: 14 months in French oak and 20 months in bottle.
