Like her, I thought I was happily married — almost 19 years and two kids under my belt. Then one day (and there’s always a “then one day” in life), I found out my husband was in love with another woman and didn’t want me anymore. One thing led to another and I whacked him with a Dr. Seuss book that was sitting on my coffee table. When I called the police to have him removed from the house, they removed me instead and charged me with assault. Oh, and let’s not forget I also bit a cop’s thumb in the process (something I’m not proud of in the least).” Come hear Cathy Ollifee-Webster Speak Saturday, April 26, 2pm. Grand Centre Branch. Page 6 Donations of books are always appreciated at the library, and have been especially helpful in developing our new Bookmobile collection. We have, however, received so many book donations recently that our shelves are nearly full! We will still gratefully accept donations of newer items in good condition (especially picture books, books for middle school readers and for young adults), but older materials in poor shape cannot be used by the library and so we respectfully request that these items not be brought in. Thank you kindly for your cooperation!
