San Diego North Chamber of Commerce
San Diego North Chamber of Commerce 2010 - 2011 Annual Report Building Vibrant Communities Through Stronger Commerce Message from Chairman of the Board, Angelo Damante It is with a sense of honor and a renewed conviction that I continue serving as the Board Chair of the San Diego North Chamber of Commerce. The past year was filled with remarkable accomplishments that have created a solid foundation for the chamber to better support commerce in the region and I am confident this organization will continue to exceed expectations. One word best describes the chamber’s current position; “milestone,” indicating that we have achieved a goal and made progress from where we once were, but that we still have a course to follow and progress to make. In the past year, the chamber has demonstrated that it has the wherewithal to represent the regional business community and the resources to support and introduce initiatives to attract new businesses and industries to the region. Through collaborations and dedicated committees, our efforts have lead to the formation of the CleanTech Corridor, a project aimed at attracting investment and development in North County. As we move forward with a clear mission, “Building Vibrant Communities Through Stronger Commerce”, we look forward to the 2011-2012 year ending with yet another milestone. This chamber will continue to collaborate with businesses, government, and other organizations to elevate the region and will advocate to ensure we have the best possible climate for business in Southern California. With those goals in mind, this organization will continue to make strides in the development of innovative and sustainable programs and benefits for its members. As a regional chamber of commerce, we strive to make sure every member has a benefit they can use to better their own business. We must continue to collaborate with local organizations, communities and elected officials to consolidate the San Diego North Chamber as the voice of our community, advocating for commerce through public policy, economic development, health, and education. I look forward to working with the Board of Directors, the Chamber staff, and our members to show our commitment to building a stronger pro-commerce region and to accomplish these goals.
