Ivy League Day Camp Time Is Running Out!
Volume 2011
Issue 7
From Your Directors
This week we rolled out the red carpet as Ivy Oscars came to
town,
All of our Mini Day, Pre School and Lower Division campers sang
so loud they brought the house down!
Our rising stars put on a Tony Award winning performance of The
Little Mermaid,
We enjoyed GameInRide, wore our Disney shirts, and had a
Project Runway Hat Parade.
CAPs traveled to Vermont and embarked upon Pico Mountain and
tasted all the Ben & Jerry‟s ice cream,
Grads splashed around at Sahara Sam‟s Waterpark and cheered
for the NY Liberty basketball team.
For Week 7 we will Make A Difference and support some really
important charities by wearing pink and red and donating school
supplies to those in need,
The ILDC family is so proud of all our campers for participating in
this good deed.
It‟s hard to believe there‟s only 2 weeks left of BIG LEAGUE FUN,
We have many surprises and exciting events planned for
everyone!

Rick Schmid
Camp Director
We finished Week 6 and we‟re on the move,
Hitting our stride „cuz we‟re in the groove.
Ivy Oscars was this week‟s theme,
The Pre School, Frosh and Lower shows were all super keen.
The Camp play “The Little Mermaid” capped off the week & it
was really neat,
The campers‟ talents had us all on the edge of our seat.
To Rhonda & Jess for directing the play, we want to say
Thank You,
And thanks to Justin & Dave, for your help too!
We are Ivy League…second to none,
Though sadly in 2, we will be done.
But stick around, you‟ll have a blast,
We‟ll slow it down to make it last!!!

GRADs
If it is difficult to predict the weather with some sort of certainty in
G1 and G2 have been having an awesome summer together! All NJ, it's quite more of a challenge to foresee what's coming over
the mountains in Vermont. We adopted the mail-carriers motto,
the girls had a blast at Sahara Sams Water Park, and we're all
pumped up for the New York Liberty basketball game. Those who with a few changes - "Neither rain, nor rain, nor rain will keep us
from our appointed fun!" In three days, the CAP trip managed to
went on the overnight had so much fun around Baltimore, while
everyone who stayed back at Ivy League had fun roller skating all go to Six Flags New England, bowling, a hike to a waterfall,
day long! We're all looking forward to the rest of the summer, both Alpine Slides, the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, Burlington, Ben &
Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, two hotels & two McDonalds. It really
in and out of camp!
was an unforgettable excursion by any means. How can we ever
forget, being on the chair lift in the rain, watching Kaitlyn fall in
the little brook by the waterfall, having Teddy Bear Buttons, tasting Late Night Ice Cream and Courtney and Matthew sharing a

ride is now closed." Come on, if you're laughing, you really had

fun. When we consider the old cliché, "When life gives you lemFinal Standings
ons..." ask yourself, was it really lemons at all? Truth be told, it
never rains at Ivy League!

Frosh 2
Our kids in Frosh 2,
Really do rule,
And our super counselors,
Help make this group cool.
From swimming to boating,
And cooking to art,
These kids are so special,
We knew from the start.
They're super at sports,
Their show was a success,
But we're not surprised,
We expect nothing less.
From the wonderful cuties,
They're as cute as can be,
And they make us so proud,
That they get to be,
A very big part of
Ivy League's family.

in cooking. We missed Rachel week 6, but she'll be back next
