In 2006, after 25 years in the field of security doors, Emanuela and Nicola Tesio
established OKEY – New Generation Security Doors –. OKEY offers a wide range of models
using forefront technology both in its specific functions and from the DESIGN point of
view. OKEY manufactures modern products by means of advanced technologies and the
use of truly innovative machinery.
Attending international building exhibitions in Italy and abroad, OKEY shows a security
door range continually enriched by new models certified according to the Burglar-proof
European Standards, in compliance with the CE Marking, featuring excellent performance
in thermal transmittance, soundproofing and air/water/wind tightness.
As a result of careful and advanced research, Okey uses, for the finishing of the security
doors, paneling in different materials, patterns and design, making use of the stimulating
cooperation of prestigious Italian architects.

HOW TO CHOOSE A SECURITY DOORs
The product “security door” has developed rapidly in the last few years, from being a
burglar-proof only door into a technically performing door and a design furnishing element in
a home or business.
Granted that the main feature was and still is safety, we needed to re-design a product that
could meet the different requirements of high performances, living comfort, design and the
present need of a more modern use of a door (re-codeable locks, electronic operation, etc..)

The Thermal Transmittance is an indicator
surface, through a structure bounding two rooms having a different temperature (f.e. a heated room
from outdoor or from a non-heated one). Nowadays the goal is energy saving, minimizing heat loss,
so all the components of the building envelope must have a low value of thermal transmittance in
order to reduce heat dispersion and possible formation of condensation. This concretely translates
into better living comfort and cost reduction for air-conditioning/heating. Also very important is an
appropriate degree of acoustic insulation that is certified through laboratory tests; in fact you can
judge the quality and living comfort of an environment also by the capacity to keep out noises
coming from the staircase of a building or from the street and city traffic.

For the finishing of our doors we are constantly searching for different and innovative materials,
types of wood and patterns, collaborating with prestigious Italian architects whose projects we work
on and who also design some special lines of paneling for our doors.
»BURGLARPROOFING
OKEY security doors passed the Burglar-proof tests
in compliance with European Standards UNI EN 1627,
in Class 2,3,4. The burglarproof parameters concern
the kind of tools used, the time spent, and level of noise.

DOORS TO BE INSTALLED OUTDOORS
Doors exposed to atmospheric agents
(the entry door of a building, a villa, etc.)
must meet different performance standards
than an interior installed door.
They must be effectively thermally isolated,
must protect from outside noise and limit
the condensation.
In order to meet these specific requirements OKEY
designed special models featuring high
thermo-acoustic performances for insulating the
leaf and the frame: the line “K”, double steel sheeted
doors (single or double), including with transom
or side lights.
A special thermal cut sill.
Indispensable when the security
door is installed outdoors,
gives a perfect air/water/wind
tightness.
Also it cannot be considered
as an architectural
barrier being only
9 mm. high.

These two pictures represent graphically the heat conduction
through 2 different models of security doors: the first one in
standard version, the second in “K” version.
The red color shows high temperature, the blue color low
temperature. As you can see, on equal external conditions, the
“K” version door highlights that on the inside of the door there
is heat, while in the standard version part of the inside surface,
especially the leaf edges and the frame, are cold: these are the
areas where the condensate will deposit.

POWERED ELECTRONIC LOCK
The comfort of having no need to use a key for opening or locking your door; the
safety of not losing the key of your security door and no fear of having it stolen
or unlawfully duplicated. Battery operated or power supplied (with rechargeable
batteries). The lock works by entering a 4 to 8 figures digital code. You can store up
to 128 codes. From the inside you can open the door by simply pressing a key.
You can change the code numberless times and also entering an extra service code
that can be deleted whenever you want. In case of need, the electronics can be cut off,
allowing to open and lock the door mechanically, by operating the cylinder of the lock.
