reference tool for most of the equipment we keep in our rental stock at CPS. As you can
imagine we can’t list everything we keep in stock, so please feel free to call one of the hire
team if you can’t find a specific item you are looking for.
CPS not only ‘dry hire’ equipment, we also have an in-house team of dedicated

PR Lighting launches its new XL 1200.This highly versatile projector uses a
powerful 1200w short arc discharge lamp, a power that is later
enhanced by its high quality and super efficient optical system making
the XL 1200 one of our brightest projectors in the market.
Major features include: large-scale linear zoom, CYM colour mixing, two
rotating gobo wheels plus one fixed gobo wheel, a colour temperature
correction from 0-100%,bi-directionally rotating index able prisms, linearly
adjustable frost, focus and dimmer, iris and much more.
The XL 1200 also features ultra-quiet and smooth operation with
advanced control technology, an energy saving design, LCD menu,
sensor system for fault diagnosis, display setup without main power,
isolating protection when ground is not connected, modularized
construction, and an electronic ballast.

PR's tradition for excellence continues with the XL Wash 1200.This
powerful moving head wash light comes complete with a CMY colour
mixing system; 2 colour wheels with 6 colours plus white in each wheel,
which can create half colour effect with variable speed and bidirectional rainbow effect. It is also equipped with a smooth linear
dimming and the beam angle can be remotely varied between 10
and 42 degrees and linearly adjustable between 15 and 42 degrees.
Extreme high-output colour mixing combined with sophisticated styling
make the XL Wash 1200 the perfect high-precision instrument for a wide
range of applications. The XL Wash 1200 also features ultra-quiet and
smooth operation with advanced control technology, an energy
saving design, LCD menu, sensor system for fault diagnosis, display
setup without main power, isolating protection when ground is not
connected, modularized construction, and electronic ballast.

XL250 Profile
The XL250 features a 14°-22° motorised zoom and iris as well as seven
interchangeable, indexing rotating glass gobos, ten interchangeable static gobos
and a three-way rotating prism, with 12 interchangeable colours.
"The XL 250s also provide a great colour spread when you zoom out - the beam
is wider than on our other fixtures and this makes them ideal as conventional
wash lights in some applications.

ColourWash 700E AT
The ColourWash 700E AT is the first Wash fixture using the MSR GOLD 700
Fast Fit lamp in the Robe range. This powerful moving head offers a full
CMY + CTO colour mixing system, a colour wheel with 7 replaceable
″SLOT&LOCK″ diachronic filters, a rotating beam shaper and a linear zoom
range of 6° - 45°.

ColourSpot 700E AT
The ColorSpot 700E AT marks a new series of Robe 700W moving head
fixtures. Featuring the MSR GOLD 700 Fast Fit lamp, it is ideal for all
professional applications and installations. It also offers a full CMY and
CTO colour mixing systems, a colour wheel with 7 replaceable
″SLOT&LOCK″ diachronic filters; a static gobo wheel with 9 replaceable
″SLOT&LOCK″ gobos and a rotating gobo wheel with 7 replaceable
″SLOT&LOCK″ gobos; a replaceable animation wheel and a rotating 3facet prism. The zoom range is 15° - 51° and there’s also dimmer, shutter,
strobe effects.

ColourWash 1200E AT
The ColourWash 1200E AT is a powerful moving head wash light that
comes complete with a CMY colour mixing system; variable CTO; 2 colour
wheels - each with 6 easily replaceable slots for colours and effects; a
combined dimmer/shutter and many more features. The ColourWash
1200E AT zoom has a range of 10 - 87° depending on the lens type used.
The electronic ballast enables features like flicker-free operation,
extended lamp life and power-saving mode. The large LCD display highly successful on Robe‘s ColourSpot 1200 AT profile fixture, makes the
operation of the ColourWash 1200E AT quick and easy. An Ethernet
connection offers additional connect ability. The ColourWash 1200E AT is
an ideal tool for large theatres, live and television shows, and for all types
of installations from multi-purpose venues to large clubs.

The ColourSpot 1200E AT is an electronic ballast version of ColourSpot
1200 AT, which adds even more features like flicker-free operation,
enhanced light output, extended lamp life, power-saving mode for
economy and reduced weight.

VARI*LITE V L 2500
Proudly built in the USA, the VARI*LITE VL2500 Spot luminaire is based on a
very popular existing lighting tool - the VL2000 Spot luminaire - with
additional new features that make it even more appealing.
The VL2500 Spot luminaire comes complete with all of the qualities and
options designers love from the original Series 2000 fixtures. It is still small,
lightweight, and fast with a 700-watt shortarc lamp, impressive lumen
output, and a zoom range from 18.5° to 42°.
To add to these features, the VL2500 Spot luminaire provides three-wheel
CYM colour mixing. When combined with 11 standard colours on a fixed
wheel, the colour options are practically limitless.
Additionally, a coated glass dimmer wheel provides smooth fades, and a
separate dual blade strobe system offers quiet and reliable strobe effects.
The VL2500 Spot luminaire's pan and tilt motors are now more powerful
and provide more torque.
For image projection, the fixture has one gobo wheel with five rotatable
and indexable positions and a second gobo wheel with 11 fixed positions.

Pathway Pathport Octo –
8 Way ARTNET Node
Eight inputs, eight outputs - or any combination in between,
the Octo provides all the features and flexibility Pathports are
renowned for, at our lowest cost-per-port.
Status LEDs provide instant confirmation of port direction and
activity. The LCD display offers further diagnostics and a
basic configuration interface. Most users will not need a
computer to set up the Octo. Full configuration, especially for
multi-node installations, is easily done using Pathport Manager
5.
Standard operating features include cross fade between
sources, configure DMX speed and signal loss behaviour portby-port, and multi-protocol support. Even automatically

This software can be used along with MIDI
controllers, particularly useful for LIVE applications.
Moreover, lighting scenes can be quickly
synchronized with music and video using our Easy
Show software and, if necessary, a Midi Time Code

control desk and is perfect where minimal control is
all that is required.
The Level 6 is a six channel single preset DMX
lighting controller with a master fader and “power
on” LED. Perfect for simple, straightforward control.

Zero 88 Alcora 12
The Alcora is simple to use DMX Console.
The Alcora uses memory stack operation and
can contain up to 99 memories, any of which
can be scenes or chases.
The desk has comprehensive memory editing
facilities including copy and paste. Memories
are replayed using a single 'Go' button with
timed, dipless cross fading between each
memory. A range of chase effects including
sound synchronisation come as standard.

Zero 88 Jester ML 12/24
The Jester ML24 is a new lighting console from Zero
88. It offers direct fader control of up to 24
channels of DMX and 30 fixtures using fixture select
buttons and three control wheels. Replay is either
via submasters or a traditional theatre playback
stack.
A monitor port is standard on the Jester ML24.
Channel, fixture, cuestack and submaster data
can all be viewed using the monitor. Onboard LCD
screens also provide the user with all information
needed to operate the console allowing it to be
used without a monitor. (It is recommended that
for ease of use the monitor is always used.)
A USB port allows users to back-up shows that have
been recorded on the Jester ML24. A USB
Keyboard can also be connected for fast entry of
names and numbers.
The Jester ML24 has three modes, allowing it to
operate as simple two scene preset desk through
to a fully functional memory console. A wide mode
feature allows 24 channel operation, with an
internal scene store for 2-preset operation. In Run
mode the user has full access to all the fader
channels on the console. This allows live changes
to be made to specials instantly.

Zero 88 Leapfrog 48
Developed using feed back from operators of the
original Frog consoles the Leap Frog 48 maintains
Zero 88’s philosophy of providing great value
feature packed products.
Users of the original Frog Desks will find a familiar
ergonomic hardware platform but that is where
the similarity to the existing range ends. The
hardware set has been expanded considerably.
The new desks feature two DMX universes as
standard, USB storage, external touch screen
support, multiple onboard LCD displays and
multifunctional keys.
The key change however is in the software
platform. Consistency of operation with the existing
desks is maintained but the new software allows
users to achieve more. Up to 200 fixtures can be
controlled on either of the desks and these can be
allocated to up to 400 groups. 400 colour, beam
and position and effects palettes can be
recorded.
Industry standard Ethernet protocols and visualizes
are supported. Free PDA software is available to

Point) a wireless remote for the desk. A free Off Line

Studio Duo City Colour
The Studio Due City Colour 2.5kW is supplied complete with
barn doors. This is a great intelligent fixture for architectural
lighting and any other large area that needs lighting! The
2.5kW City Colour is very bright. If you find that you do not
have enough power available to run 2.5kW City Colours
then we also stock the 1.8kW City Colour.
The CYM color changer system (international patent) is
used on all models and makes it possible to light up a
surface of about 10x15 m with the fixture placed over a
distance of 10 m.
Each unit is fitted with 5pin DMX connections.
There are also programmers already stored in the memory
of the fixtures which can be used also without the need for
a lighting desk and the fixtures can be set up to run as
Master or Slave in order to work in sync with each other.
It is also possible to make a custom use of the fixture
through the DMX connection, by using a remote controller
to create any kind of color chases.
The cooling system is controlled by a microprocessor and
together with the thermal switch guarantee a perfect

very easy and fast adjustment possibilities. The headband
construction is unique in design, because it gives the user the
choice between left and/or right mounting and colour change. It
is also possible to use the MMB4066 Miniature Microphone Boom,
Omni directional, separately, in applications where the
headband is not needed.
The 4066 offers a clean and transparent sound quality with lots of
headroom.
Attention has been paid to the humidity problems that often
occur in theatrical applications. A double vent protection system,
a drop stopper on the microphone boom, together with water
resistant materials inside the microphone, makes it more than

Yamaha 01 v
The Yamaha 01V96V2 is a 16 input channel digital mixer
with both 96kHz / 24-bit and surround sound support. It’s a
smaller version of the 02R96 and offers the same cutting
edge performance but at a lower cost. It’s a great mixer for
home and professional studios as well as for theatres and
broadcast.
Expandable to 40 Channels
The mixer comes with 16 analog inputs, 12 of which have
XLR/TRS inputs and phantom power and the other 4 inputs
are TRS inputs. The TRS inputs accept line level sources.
Inputs 15/16 can also be switched to receive input from the
2TR (2 Track) input. Input channels 17 through 24 are
connected to the ADAT light pipe. Channels 25 through 32
are routed to the card slot which is connected when you
install an optional IO module. Channels 33 through 40 are
the returns of the 4 stereo effect processors. This is default
input channel settings for the mixer. You can change the
routings of any channel using the input/output patch bay.
When operating at the 96kHz sample rate the number of
inputs changes to 32 because the number of channels
used by both the ADAT light pipe and digital effect
processors are cut in half.

The MD-350 incorporates the latest advancements in MD technology. The latest ATRAC encoding
scheme (version 3) is implemented, offering new long play versions with up to 320 minutes of record
time on a standard 80 minute Minidisc. A front panel PS/2 keyboard port allows intuitive control over
editing the Minidisc's TOC (Table Of Contents) and naming tracks.

The Q1 is a passive two-way loudspeaker housing two 10"
LF drivers positioned in a dipolar arrangement and a 1.3"
HF compression driver fitted to a toroidal wave shaping
device. The 75° constant directivity horizontal dispersion
pattern is maintained down to 400 Hz, while the vertical HF
dispersion of 15° allows the Q1 to be used to construct
vertical columns that produce a curved coherent wave
front. The mechanical and acoustical design of the
cabinet enables vertical splay angles to be set between
0° and 14°. Q1 cabinets can therefore be used in vertical
configurations starting from two cabinets with a 15° to 30°
dispersion, up to twenty cabinets with a fully user and
venue defined vertical profile. The Q1 cabinet is
constructed from marine plywood, incorporates a pair of
handles and has an impact resistant paint finish. The front
of the loudspeaker is protected by a rigid metal grill
covered with replaceable acoustically transparent foam,

infrabass for the C4 system or a high output,

When used with a C4 system, d&b recommend a
ratio of four C4-SUBs to one B2. The B2 cabinet is
constructed from marine plywood, has an impact
resistant paint finish and eight integral steel handles.
The front of the subwoofer cabinet is fitted with

E3 loudspeaker
The E3 is an extremely small and versatile high
performance system with astonishing sound and
excellent headroom. The horn, which may be
rotated to give either 90° x 60° or 60° x 90°
coverage, has the necessary flexibility in directivity
enabling a variety of applications such as delay,
infill or distributed sound reinforcement
applications. In addition, it can be used as an
extremely compact stage monitor. Together with a
subwoofer system the E3 is also capable of
reproducing live or playback music at continuously
high SPLs. The E3 cabinet is constructed from
marine plywood with an impact resistant paint
finish, and with its asymmetrical shape and eight
M8 threaded inserts for mounting accessories the
E3 can be deployed in almost any position. The
loudspeaker cabinet is also available in Special

The d&b D12 amplifier is a dual channel amplifier incorporating
digital signal processors (DSP) to provide loudspeaker specific
configurations and functions. It is designed for use with all d&b
loudspeakers, has both digital and analog signal inputs as well
as link outputs, remote control and monitoring capabilities and
sophisticated protection circuits. It utilizes an autosensing switch
mode power supply for mains voltages 115 / 230 V, 50 – 60 Hz
(optional 100 / 200 V) and has a temperature and signal
controlled fan to cool the internal assemblies. It is specifically
designed to produce high power into low impedance loads,
typically those between 4 and 16 ohms. A user definable 4-band
parametric equalizer, and signal delay capability of up to 340
ms are incorporated and can be applied independently to
each channel. A signal generator offering pink noise or sine
wave program is also included. The D12 uses its Load monitoring
and System check functions to ascertain the status of the
loudspeaker impedance. d&b System check verifies that the
system performs within a predefined condition, whilst d&b Load
monitoring enables an automatic and continuous impedance
monitoring. Both can determine the status of an LF or HF driver in
systems with multiple elements, even if these are crossed over
passively. Apart from selectable output configurations for dual
channel, mixed TOP/SUB and 2-Way Active mode, the D12 also
provides d&b Sense Drive for use with the LF drivers in d&b
active loudspeakers and subwoofers and has output connector
options. All these functions and parameters can be easily
accessed and controlled via the LCD in conjunction with the
digital rotary encoder or through the d&b Remote network.

d&b A1 Mainframe
The A1 mainframe is designed for use with d&b’s active systems
and is housed in a 3 rack unit high, 19" rack mount enclosure.
The mainframe incorporates power supplies for the controllers
and mainframe electronics, two power amplifiers, soft start,
monitoring and protection circuits with the associated indicators
and all connectors. All functions can be remotely interrogated
and altered via the d&b Remote Interface Bridge (RIB). The
mainframe accepts a single exchangeable controller module
which determines both the type and number of loudspeakers
which can be driven. The A1 power amplifier consists of two
separate channels of differing output power. The high power
channel handles the low frequencies or subwoofers and the
lower power channel the high frequencies. The amplifier is
comprehensively protected against overheating and
connection to inappropriate or faulty loads, has a high peak
output current capability and a low feedback internal gain
structure. Speaker ID protects wrongly connected speakers from
possible damage. d&b Sense Drive electronics maintains
maximum damping factor with complex loads, and improves
low frequency transient performance when using long speaker
cables.

The E-PAC, housed in a 2 rack unit high, 7.5" rugged
enclosure, incorporates a power supply, single
channel power amplifier, all necessary protection
circuits, a remote interface, controls and indicators.
The internal controller is based on DSP with DeltaSigma signal conversion and incorporates the audio
signal processing and complex protection circuits
specific to the characteristics of the relevant
loudspeaker. The E-PAC is pre-programmed for the
C6/C690, CI6, CI9 and all E-Series loudspeakers
(including the E3 and E12 sub cabinets) and their
different operational modes. These configurations
are selected by setting DIP switches on the rear
panel. A LINEAR mode can be selected for MAX or

The BSS Audio FDS-366T Omnidrive Compact Plus Loudspeaker Management System is the one
loudspeaker management system that really satisfies all your system requirements, and it just got even
better! It includes the first pro audio implementation of WHISEWORKS - NTM * filter technology, which
means that you can take your loudspeakers closer to their operating bandwidths without fear of overexcursion.
One FDS-366 can drive a true stereo 3-way system, or 3 bi-amp outputs for monitors. Add more units and
MIDI slave linking to make stereo 4, 5 and even 6-way systems.
Other applications are also covered, such as zoning to six discrete areas using full range or band-restricted
outputs. As a mono sum of all three inputs is available, the FDS-366 will find favor with LCR post-production

BSS FDS 334T Mini Drive
Minidrive provides all four core functions of the Omnidrive range: crossovers (Linkwitz-Riley, Bessel
or Butterworth), mid-band limiters, equalisation freely assignable to inputs and outputs, and both
input and output delay.
BSS has provided Minidrive with a similar user interface to its big brother the FDS-366T "Omnidrive
Compact Plus". The four-arrow "navipad" allows access to menus and facilties, while push-toselect switches on the output level controls ensure fast access to channels for editing. Data is

Graphic equalizers are found in just about every sound application, from room contouring to feedback
control and general audio sweetening.
Traditionally, much general eq'ing takes place on the faders alone, but this restricts the use of the faders at
each end of the scale for further precision eq work. So we provided the Opal FCS-966 with separate LF and
HF contour filters which can change an overall sound balance without disturbing a detailed room or
loudspeaker response.
These filters are very musical gentle boost and cut shelving filters which can be used to add (or remove)

TECPRO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Tecpro is a ‘two wire’ or, as it is sometimes known, ‘party-line’ or ‘ring’
system which enables a number of people to take part in the same
conversation. Each participant can hear all other participants on the
same circuit while being able to talk to them simultaneously, so a full
‘duplex’ conversation can take place – similar to a telephone system.
The major applications for these systems are in the theatre, conference,
live performance and broadcast markets, though new applications are
constantly emerging.
A basic Tecpro communication system would comprise a power supply
and two or more outstations or belt packs. An outstation may be wall
mounted, free-standing or mounted in a rack. It will usually have a builtin loudspeaker and possibly a microphone. Belt packs are intended for
personal use and work only with a headset. Outstations and belt packs
connect together with two core screened microphone cable which
carries system power, audio, and various control signals. Most have a 3pin XLR input and output and can be simply daisy-chained together.
Alternatively interconnection can radiate out from a central, passive
splitter. A combination of both methods is often used.
More complex systems may use a master station which has two in-built
power supplies and offers two independent communication circuits, A
and B. Participants in a conversation on circuit A cannot communicate
with those on circuit B (unless the two circuits are linked at the Master
Station). However the person operating the master station can
communicate with circuits A and B separately or together.

Induction Loops
Audio-frequency induction loop systems (AFILS) allow
hearing impaired people to hear more clearly. Most
hearing aids have a ‘T’ or ‘MT’ switch which allows them
to pick up the electromagnetic field generated by an
induction loop system. The hearing aid converts this signal
into a sound suited to its user’s specific hearing
requirements. Any person with a hearing aid positioned
within or near the loop (see example schematics below)
can hear the loop signal by switching their hearing aid to
the correct position, allowing them to participate more
effectively in general conversation, ordering goods or
services, listening to public performances, etc

•Payment Terms
•Subject to contract, deposit required.
•For Non Account Holders we require full payment to reserve the equipment and the
following before the hire date
•3 forms ID Passport, driving Licence and Utility Bill. A refundable Deposit of a
minimum of £200 is mandatory
•All Major Credit Cards are acceptable for both payment and deposit. Both payments
must be made on the same card.
•Validity
•Unless withdrawn by the contractor before acceptance, quotations will remain open
for acceptance in writing by the client for a period of 28 days from the date of the
quotation, after which time the contractor reserves the right of modification or
withdrawal

We are able to deliver and setup any equipment hired from CPS. We can
arrange transportation ranging from small local deliveries to long range pallet
