Welcome to the Haberdasher Corporate Apparel 2014 State Contract Catalogue PDF. We are
beginning the 4th year of our participation on the state contract and we are looking forward to
working with your agency again or for the very fist time this year.
One thing we’ve discovered during the last three years is that the uniform and apparel needs
vary widely from state agency to state agency. We’ve also found that while the original RFP
was very thorough, there are hundreds (if not thousands) of styles that agencies may want
or need that were not specifically identified in the contract. We’ve also learned that some
agencies require very little service along with their orders and some agencies need and
appreciate the service aspect Haberdasher can provide.

MEASURING WOMEN
A. Bust: Standing to her side and holding tape firmly under one arm, measure
around the shoulder blades, under arms and around the fullest part of her bust. She
should keep her arms to her sides as much as possible - it will affect the
measurement if they are raised too high. The number of inches shown is her bust
size.
B. Waist: Standing to her side, measure around her natural waistline. The number of
inches shown is her waist size.
C. Seat (hips): Standing to her side, measure around the fullest part of her hips. Start
7 to 8 inches below the natural waistline. If the tape can't be moved up and down, it's
not around the fullest part. The number of inches shown is her seat (or hip)
measurement.
D. Inseam: You stand in front. Have her stand with both feet flat on the ground with
legs straight and slightly apart. Have her hold one end of the tape measure at the base
of her crotch seam. You straighten the tape down the inside of her leg to the top of
her shoe. The number of inches shown is her inseam length. Remember - this
measurement will be more accurate if she is wearing the actual shoes to be worn with
the uniform.

MEASURING MEN
A. Neck Size: Standing at his side, hold the tape snugly around his neck. The
number of inches shown is his neck size.
B. Sleeve Length: Standing at his back, have him hold up one arm chest high and
touch his nose. Measure from the bottom center back of neck (the round bone at the
top of his spine), down the arm across the elbow to the far end of the wristbone. The
number of inches shown is his sleeve length.
C. Chest Size: Standing in front, measure around the fullest part of his chest, under
the arms and around the shoulder blades. The number of inches shown is his chest
size.
D. Waist Size: Standing in front, measure around his natural waistline, just above the
hipbones. The number of inches shown is his waist size.
E. Inseam: You stand in front. Have him stand with both feet flat on the ground with
legs straight and slightly apart. Have him hold one end of the tape measure at the
base of his crotch seam. You straighten the tape down the inside of his leg to the top
of his shoe. The number of inches shown is his inseam length. Remember–this

How do I place my order? Haberdasher is very flexible. We accept orders via phone, email, fax, or
electronically via the State of Virginia’s online Ariba procurement tool.
What if I don’t see what I am looking for? Have no fear – Haberdasher can help! We represent close to 40
apparel manufacturing partners and have access to hundreds of brands and thousands of styles. If it’s apparel
for the workplace we can get it for you. This includes everything form shirts and pants to scrubs, chef coats,
ball caps, t-shirts, and outerwear. We also carry many brands you might be interested in like Dickies, Walls,
Outer Bands, Cutter and Buck – to name a few.
What about safety apparel? Haberdasher sells flame resistant apparel (FR) and ANSI apparel (hi-vis). We
have several manufacturing partners in both categories.
What else can Haberdasher do for my agency? Haberdasher also provides entrance mats and other dust
control products for the floor and doorways. If your facility has a cleaning staff, consider purchasing mats

FAQS on doing business with Haberdasher Corporate Apparel
What is your turn-around time for an order? Haberdasher can typically turn an order without embroidery
around in five working days. We do not stock inventory. We receive your goods from our manufacturer
partners and have them embroidered to your specifications. We will drop-ship directly from our
manufacturing partner to your doorstep whenever possible.
What is the Minimum Order Amount? $25.00
What is your policy for Returns? Haberdasher will accept returns. We cannot accept returns of any items
that have been embroidered or hemmed to a non-stock length. There is a 20% re-stocking fee for all goods
returned unless you return the goods directly to the manufacturer. Please contact Haberdasher Corporate
Apparel for instructions on returning your items.
Do you embroider the apparel? Haberdasher will gladly embroider any of your garments. There will be a
one time set-up fee for your logo. A first time set-up will add about 10 working days to your order. After that,
any time you order again with Haberdasher Corporate Apparel, we will use the logo we set-up in our logo
database. This saves you an additional set-up fee and time for delivery.
How can I pay for my order? Haberdasher accepts checks and all major credit cards. We are familiar with
Virginia’s payment process and will gladly work with your procurement or finance department.
