80TH CELEBRATION & BABAR EXHIBIT!
2011 marked Babar’s 80th birthday and the celebration has been
fit for a king! From December 8, 2011, to September 2, 2012, a
Babar exhibit is featured at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
Along with photo archives, the exhibition features items such as
plush toys, games, action figures and vehicles from as early as
1930, along with contemporary licensed products.
NORTH AMERICAN ACTIVITIES
In August 2011, Classic Babar partners in the U.S. shipped over
500,000 units of Classic Babar products into Target’s See Spot
Save section. Thanks to all our partners for a successful program!
Babar and Badou travelled to the White House to take part in the
Easter Egg Roll! Babar was also honoured as one of the characters
on the "Hats Off to Our Heritage" float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving
Day Parade after ringing the New York Stock Exchange bell.
