to Recalibration
Issues
As technology progresses in the automotive industry, it is vital that
AGRR companies learn how to handle the challenges that
Automated Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) present to their repair

AGRR technicians have several options available to make sure the
ADAS works properly, including some new ones that don’t involve
visits to car dealerships. Come and learn about these exciting
developments.

The Next
Generation in
Automotive Glass
A product first used in smartphones in 2007, Gorilla Glass has
shown hints of crossing over into the automotive marketplace
for years. Now it has happened. Ford, Corning and Pittsburgh
Glass Works (PGW) have teamed up to make your IPhone
screen into a windshield for the Ford GT model. It likely will be
the first of many vehicles to feature this new hybrid technology.
Learn what this new glass means for the AGRR industry and
what technicians can expect when replacing or repairing it.
You’ll learn the answers to all the questions and see the
windshield in action.
Speaker: Thomas Cleary, reliability
manager for automotive glass, Corning.
9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
The Auto Glass-TPA
Relationship:
Can This Marriage
be Saved?
It often feels that the auto glass company-third party
administrator (TPA) relationship is one of a marriage gone bad,
with both sides staying together for the sake of their mutual
customer. Each has real pain points, and is sure the other
doesn’t understand or care about them. You’ll learn from a
speaker who has seen the business from all sides and who
offers a unique perspective on what each party is doing right—
and wrong.
Speaker: Wayne Sharrah, president and
CEO of Insurance Claims Management
(ICM), the privately-held parent company
for HSG and CodeBlue. Sharrah is also
the former chief claims officer of
Esurance.
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Positioning Your
Company to Be a
Dominant Player in
Your Local Market
The dominant local auto glass provider is the most difficult
competitor a large chain can have. Becoming that local player
involves focus, creativity and market knowledge. In this session, you’ll learn what steps to take to enhance your presence
and how to choose the market you serve and serve it well. In
the process, you’ll be able to compete effectively against companies of all sizes.
Speakers: David Leach, chief operating
officer, Don’s Mobile Glass, a full service
glass retailer with locations throughout
the San Joaquin central valley in
California. Leach was with Belron Inc./
Elite Auto Glass and also joined Safelite
AutoGlass after it acquired Elite in 2007;
and Troy Mason, president, TechnaGlass,
an AGRR retailer with multiple locations
mainly in the Western states.
11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
New Trends in
Auto Glass
The glass found in cars today presents installation concerns
and opportunities quite different from the kinds of glass used
just five years ago. Changes and developments in auto glass
technology being introduced and planned for the future will
impact all the trades they touch. This joint session seminar will
review the new types of glass and the new features of glazing
systems recently introduced in the automotive sector.
Please note: Auto Glass WeekTM
participants may attend to hear the
presentation only or enjoy lunch with their
window film colleagues by purchasing a
luncheon food ticket at the registration
desk until noon Wednesday.
1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
How Davids Beat
Goliaths
The AGRR industry is composed of a few very large players
and numerous smaller ones. In this exciting session with an
international flare, you will learn how one company has grown
and succeeded in a country where one major player dominates. You’ll learn the strategies they have used to grow into
a national powerhouse while competing against a national
powerhouse.
Speaker: Tony Green, technical
and innovation manager,
Auto Windscreens, a leading
