Office update
Welcome Back,
There has been a new gate card system installed over the winter months. Anyone
that has been using a guest card or has rented a guest card and never returned it,
those cards will not work. FYI I have noticed that some of your gate cards are
starting not to work please keep them out of the heat that seems to be a major
issue with them not working.
If you need your keys to be handed out to a contractor you will need to notify the
office. I will then put you on the list with the name of the contractor that will be in
to pick up your keys. No key will be handed out until the member calls the office
to authorize keys being released. This is to protect you, the camp and the office.
If you want access to the internet there is a new password this year due to the
router going out.
As a reminder that the office will be closed on Tuesdays till Memorial Day weekend so please make sure that you have your keys and gate cards.
The office needs you to update address, phone numbers, cell numbers and email
addresses. These changes come in hand when there are issues relating to your
trailers.

PRESIDENT UPDATE
I hope you all had a good holiday season and have been able to survive the winter weather. Before you know it, our
camping season will be under way again.
I have a few updates on events that have taken place since the fall.
The DNR came in and gave us orders to clean up and landscape the hill behind the Camp workshop. This was necessary
in order to stop erosion and run off that was flowing into Mirror Lake and our retention pond. The majority of the funds
for this project were supplied by the DNR.
The landscaping that was done includes some specialized plants with extra deep rooting systems that will help prevent
erosion and runoff in the future.
Since this work was done, there is now a very steep drop off behind the workshop. A guardrail has been put up but it is
extremely important that people stay away from this area due to the danger that it poses.
Our retention pond has also been cleaned out. It is our hope that, with the erosion repair that was done, Mother Nature will
be kind to us and we will not have to clean out the retention pond for several years.
The entry gate system has also been replaced this past winter. Although the original plan was to simply repair the gate
system, after further inspection it was determined that the damage was too extensive and repair parts were not available. Given the previous discussions, regarding our members concern for safety, we decided that replacing the gate was
our only viable option.
We will also be adding an exit gate in the spring to replace the spikes that are currently in place.
With the new season fast approaching us, I want to take the opportunity to remind everyone that they are required to sign
in at the lodge upon arrival at Camp.
This is not only in The Camp Delton Club book of rules and regulations, it is also a state regulation under Wisconsin Administration Codes, Section HFS 178.015, Paragraph 2 and states as such:
REGISTER: A Campground register shall be maintained containing the name of the principle Campsite occupant and the
number in the party. The register shall be available to any authorized employee or agent of the department who, in carrying out his or her duties, wished to inspect the register. The register information shall be kept for at least one year after the
departure of the occupant of a site.
There is also a copy of this rule posted in the lodge for everyone to review.
Failure to comply with this will result in a written warning for the first offense. This warning will be placed in your permanent Camp file for two years.
A second offense will result in a fine and a third offense could result in permanent expulsion from the Camp Delton Club.
The water is expected to be turned on approximately April 15 th. The first few days the water is turned on, our Camp staff
will be checking to ensure there are no line breaks and that everyone has water to their camp sites. As a result, the small
bathrooms in each village may not be available that weekend. As always, the main bathrooms in the lodge will be open
and available for use.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the start of our new season. Let’s all remember that this is our Camp and we should
all do our part to make this a fun & enjoyable environment for everyone.
Respectfully yours,
Mary Wroblewski

ACTIVITIES
Another camping season is right around the corner. It has been great to hear the ideas that have come thru during
the off season. You will notice that a few new things have been added to the activities this season.
New this season will be a Camp-wide Rummage. We will make up a list of all the sites that will be participating and
we will make signs for you to post at your site there will be a small fee for this convenience. Also added this year is a
Craft Fair in the pavilion. You can rent a spot at the pavilion to showcase and sell you’re crafts. The Camp will sell
snacks and beverages at this event.
Last year’s activities were a great success. I have received great feed back on them. With the proceeds from last
season we were able to purchase new garbage cans and lids for the pavilion, more umbrellas and tables for the pool
area, lounge chairs for the pool area.
Our goal this season is to raise funds to buy some new equipment for the play ground area by the pavilion. Our goal
is to make the Camp a place for all to enjoy for years to come.
Again if you have any ideas please drop me an email or put a note in my box and I will get back to you.
Thank you

Wisconsin Dells Fun Facts
The Wisconsin Dells area is 19.5 square miles in size, with just over 5,200 permanent residents.
The Water Factory, a water attraction with fun water sprays ideal for little ones, launched the waterpark
craze in Wisconsin Dells, when Polynesian Resort Hotel owner Stan Anderson decided to put a roof over
it in 1994. It still stands today, and Anderson still runs the business.
There are more than 15.7 million gallons of water in the area’s more than 20 waterparks.
Wisconsin Dells has more hotel rooms than any other city in Wisconsin, numbering more than 8,000. It also has 18 campgrounds with nearly 3,200 campsites.
There are more than 400 businesses in the area, many run by second and third generations. In the last
three years alone, these business owners have literally pumped in hundreds of millions of dollars in new
attractions and expansions.

Insurance & Bylaws
The Camp Delton Club, Inc., What is Camp Delton Club? It was originally farmland located next
to an 18 Hole golf course, Hole #1 and #18 were located where the freeway is, which was later
sold to a proprietor for a KOA campground. That campground was located in our Overlook Village area. In 1968 Willard and Virginia Murphy bought the land and in 1970 opened Dells Camp
Delton Incorporated. In the year 1975, Bill Murphy signed the Articles of Incorporation and Camp
Delton Club was born.
An article in the Wisconsin Dells Events, May 6, 1976 stated that Camp Delton was the first of
the "deluxe" total facility camping resorts in the Illinois-Wisconsin area. It carried the highest ratings available to a campground-Woodall 5W and Rand McNally 4 Star- and was one of the most
successful camping resorts in the Midwest. The Murphy's' saw a need to expand and created the
Club, which became The Camp Delton Club, Inc., - the first successful camper-owned
campground in the Midwest.
The Camp Delton Club, Inc. is governed by those Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws of the Camp
Delton Club, Inc. and the Rules and Regulations of our camp. These regulations have been
around since the beginning of our Club. Over the years they have be modified, amended and
changed according to the changes in laws, technology, needs and other factors. Camp Delton is
a campground that is regulated by the State Campground Regulations, Chapter HFS 178, Department of Health and Family Services. Camp Delton Club is a NonStock Corporation and is regulated by Chapter 181.
The Camp Delton Club, Inc is managed by the elected Board of Directors. Camp Managers are
hired by the Board of Directors to manage the Camp and act as agents for the Club. Each year
we have new members joining our Club and are not aware of the origin of the Club and it 's operation. All members were and are required to sign an occupancy agreement which states that they
have read and understand the Rules and Regulations of Camp Delton Club. There has been
many questions about where did this rules come from and why do we need to follow them?
We are regulated by the State Campground Rules and are represented as a private
campground. We pay fees in accordance to that regulation and in order to maintain that status,
must abide by those rules. If we choose not to be a campground any longer, the village will step in
and move to change our status to a mobile home park. I have read those requirements and they
are much more strict with their ordinances, charge higher fees and can tax each member higher
taxes. In order to maintain our status, we must obey the state rules. One of those rules that is
broken every year is the signing in to camp upon arrival either in the off season as well as the regular season. The rule is HFS 178.15 Management: (2) Register: A campground register shall be
maintained containing the name of the principle campsite occupant and the number in the party.
Our Bylaws are derived from Chapter 181 NonStock Corporation and the Articles of Incorporation. It gives us the guidelines to operate our camp, rules for members and rules for directors and
staff. It also gives direction for the maintenance of our records, how to conduct meetings and
voting, changes in the bylaws or articles, mergers and dissolutions. Our Bylaws are how we operate Camp Delton Club.
Volume 11, Issue 1
Page 9
Our staff, the mangers of our camp and their staff are the appointed agents to represent us and
enforce these rules. If you are in violation and caught, you will be charged with a warning, a ticket ,
fines or all of the above and this can lead to expulsion from camp. We will not tolerate any violations to our rules and regulations. We expect that our staff and members to be treated with respect
and vice versa.
The membership has the opportunity to be heard throughout the year by communicating with the
Board of Directors either speaking directly or writing a correspondence. Writing documentation is
your best option. Correspondence will be read at a board meeting provided you have signed it. A
correspondence will be addressed after an investigation and the information is complied which will
enable the Directors to give a fair assessment and provide a solution of the situation.
Every summer, there is an annual meeting scheduled in accordance with our Bylaws where the
membership can place items for discussion on an agenda. These items can be motioned and voted
on at that meeting, provided a quorum of the membership is met. A membership meeting is not a
board meeting. The Board of Directors met in compliance with the Bylaws during the opening season to discuss various subjects and the operations of the camp, all members are welcome to attend
and listen. At the end of those meetings, the members may address the board with questions. We
have various committees in which a member can get involved and participate in the operations and
projects in camp.
Opening day is approaching, the water will be turned on, the birds are singing, the temperatures
are rising and summer is around the corner. Let's have a safe and fun summer season. Welcome
back to Camp Delton Club and I look forward to seeing everyone again this year.

Reminders from Building & Grounds Director & Camp Manager
Welcome back to the 2011 opening of our Camp Delton Club, just a few reminders of some rules that need to be followed and some information.
* Canoe racks, all canoes must be on assigned racks, no canoes, paddle boats, ect. on the beach area, all
canoes and boats must have site numbers and registered at the office, canoe racks are $21.50, and dock fees
are $106.50 a year. We are trying to get our beach area cleaned up, its looking very cluttered, and is a bad reflection on our club.
* Anti siphon valves, all sites must have one for safe water in their units, it’s a state law, and for the safety of
your family.
* Lot improvements, you need to fill out a Building and Grounds form, located in the lodge, for any improvements
to your lot. All projects need approval before starting.
* As a reminder when you bag you leaves you must use CLEAR BAGS. Leaf machine will be up and running
around May 1st. You will need to put you leaves in a row with no sticks, rocks , dog waste or garbage.
Branches or sticks that you do not want please stick in a neat pile next to you leaves.
* Members and their Guest must sign in upon arriving in to camp. This includes even if you are doing a drive
through or a short visit to you site. This is a state law that needs to be followed. Failure to follow this is subject
to a written warning and could be followed up with a fine. All written warnings are kept in you permanent files.
* The pool is scheduled to open Memorial Day Weekend.
* I you notice any thing that needs to fixed in the Camp please stop by the office and fill out a work order form.
This includes washers or dryers that are not working, toilets issues and leaky spickets.
* Due to some issues last year with people putting foreign objects down the sewer system, please only put down
the recommended items. NO clothing items, plastic, sanitary items, and grease.
Thank you
