Admission Limit
Both DROP facilities have a capacity limit of 45 families. When the number of users exceeds the limit, we ask newcomers to wait
outside and users to limit their playtime to 2 hours during crowded hours. When there are appointments and reserved programs,
we will give priority to those who are attending these programs. Please call us for admission limit info or check our website URL:

‘FUNTIME in the WATER’ at DROP.
What is MSC (Multicultural Support Club)?
It is an activity to unite international families in need of the local community support, local families willing to
give support to international families, and anyone who is interested in understanding different cultures,
together aiming for better ways to make Kohoku Ward a more multicultural-friendly place.
Every month we make the English, partially Korean and Chinese version of the newsletter “@DROP”.
Last year, we held a presentation regarding kindergarten and nursery in easy Japanese and English. We also
had a Kakizome (Japanese calligraphy) event and Bento (Japanese lunch) making event.
For Parents and Guardians whose 1st language is not Japanese: an MSC EVENT
We will hold a presentation entitled “Kindergartens/Nursery Schools in Yokohama explained in Simple Japanese
and English”. Please join us and find out what it is like and what kind of Kindergartens/Nursery Schools there are
in Kohoku-ku, learn how to apply and what needs to be done, and get information from moms whose kids are
already enrolled or graduated!

Every summer, we support babies and kids to enjoy their first time playing in the WATER.

● Dates and Time: EVERY SATURDAYS from 7/23 thru 8/27 10:30-14:30 (Break at lunchtime)
(DROP will be closed on AUGUST 13)
*Please do NOT use the playing pool when your child has diarrhea, summer cold, impetigo, water warts,
conjunctivitis, any other infectious disease or just not feeling well.
*Please wear either a bathing suit, underwear or bathing diaper when playing in the pool.
*Please tie your child’s hair if it is long. Also please be careful if the child will be using hair pins for safety
reasons.
*Please bring your own towel, sandal or anything your child will be using in the pool.
*Children can NOT use the playing pool when the temperature is too low or during rain.
We will only have water in the pool on Saturdays. But children are always welcome to have fun playing in
the MUD and the MUDPOND! Bring changes of clothes and towels, and let’s get dirty!
