The result from this songwriting camp was performed the week after at the Folk Alliance International in Kansas City. On stage, live performances of the songs are layered with film clips from a coming documentary following the creative process of the artists. The audience will get to ask questions to both songwriters and arrangers. Fiona will give a lecture Um café lá em casa is a web-based series of films created by the Faria family. With YouTube as its main platform, the series is reaching a growing audience and playing an important role in the dissemination of Brazilian musical culture. In this performance Nelson Faria will share extracts from his web-series and tell us about its beginning as well as its future. And in which way will they impact the creative process, budgeting, and financing of TV and movies in the future? What's the cost of good content? Run-through of typical production costs for TV, film and documentaries.
