Modelart studio designs can be described as innovative
and experimental street furniture, on the border between
the space installations and everyday objects. what is characteristic of their work is to redefine the existing, common
terms, like bench, providing them with new layers of meaning. all these projects are multifunctional spatial structures,
primarily designed for public space, open or closed, and
the basic desire of authors is to make the surrounding area
alive, activate it with the playful structure and the warmth of
the material, and become a place of identity and recognisability.
playing with form is one of the creative concepts of the studio.

A UNIQUE
COMBINATION OF
CLASSICISM AND
MODERNITY
Founded in 1830 in Les Bois, a village at the
heart of the Swiss Jura region, Baume & Mercier
is a Swiss watch company combining expertise,
contemporary design and impeccable quality
for almost 180 years. Its guiding principle of
“producing only watches of the highest quality” is
a motto inherited from company founders William
Baume and Paul Mercier.
Like always, loyal as ever to its origins, Baume & Mercier
continues to offer a range of authentic timepieces with a
contemporary feel, that embody the attention to detail,
the high quality standards, and the respect for the rules
of fine craftsmanship on which the company has built its
international reputation since 1830.
a symbol of interior wealth… a unique combination of
classicism and modernity, Baume & Mercier’s Classima is
a celebrated bestseller around the world among business
executives for whom distinction is a sign of the discerning mind. its sophisticated roman numerals deliberately
anchor the watch in tradition, making it the symbol of an
interior wealth meant to be discreetly shared.
timeless style… the new version of this collection has
not abandoned its original vocation as a chic and discreet masculine constant. the watch comes with highprecision self-winding mechanical movements and several functions and complications depending on the model
(dual time zone, power reserve, sapphire crystal case
back to display the oscillating weight). in terms of design,
the watch comes with a choice between a 39 or 42 mm
size, a “grain d’orge” guilloché décor or a line guilloché
décor, and a black or silver dial. Ultimate touches of sophistication: the oscillating weight engraved with Baume
& Mercier’s emblematic Φ (phi). the models of the 2011
Classima collection combine the best of watch making
expertise with the elegant simplicity of timeless watches.

DIOR
INSTITUT
PARIS
Because excellence, elegance and refinement
never cease to intertwine, and because the two
establishments bear the essence of the Parisian
spirit in their very identities, it was only natural that
Dior and the Plaza Athénée combine their values
and know-how to create the most Parisian of

Dior institut, located at the plaza athénée hotel in paris, is
no ordinary spa. Descend the lushly carpeted private stairway and you’ll find yourself in a peaceful haven with a vaulted ceiling and well-positioned mirrors that create the illusion
of an even larger space. the white-marble floor is heated to
allow maximum comfort in those barefoot moments, while
a grey-and-mauve colour scheme and Dior’s signature
geometric pattern decorate the space. the five treatment
rooms are the essence of discreet luxury, with heated beds,
walk-in showers, and product cabinets illuminated through

RALPH’S
RESTAURANT
“I want it to be the best restaurant of its kind in Paris,
offering great American food in the most beautiful and
romantic setting. It will have gracious hospitality with a
glamorous, yet informal sophistication.”
Ralph Lauren
Housed within a historic mansion, the world of ralph Lauren blends
that which is distinctly american with the allure of La rive Gauche. the
prestige of 173 Boulevard saint Germain is reawakened under the
inspiring blend of authentic parisian décor, refined american fashion
and the ubiquitous appreciation for an extraordinary dining experience.

ralph’s offers uniquely authentic american hospitality and cuisine.
Built as a hotel in 1683, 173 Boulevard saint Germain offered its
residents an airy courtyard to relax while accommodating their
equine transportation in six large stables just beyond. ralph Lauren’s adoring interpretation of this space is appropriately romantic
without nostalgia, and modern without excess. He invites contemporary clientele to dine outside under grand umbrellas or indoors
while comforted by a majestic antique fireplace. the cobblestoned
courtyard features teak banquettes, large planters and a horsewatering fountain. the spaciousness and equestrian spirit of the

typical american brunch.

‘an american in paris’. i want the food to be genuinely american, but set in a mood that is genuinely
international. the contrast should be unique and
memorable.”

PINOT BLANC
MISE DU
PRINTEMPS 2010
POETRY OF TASTE
Located just 5 kilometres west of Colmar, in the very heart of the vineyards
of Alsace in France, Domaine JOSMEYER has been producing stunning
white wines for five generations…
these wines are resolutely dry and elegant with some raciness and are created to
bring out the flavours of the foods chosen to accompany them. From the outset, each
generation of this family has been fired with the passion and spirit of excellence which
continues to this day…
Domaine JosMeYer comprises 25 hectares of which 5 hectares are located in the
Grand Cru vineyards of Hengst and Brand. reflecting their utmost respect for nature,
all the vineyards are now cultivated according to biodynamic principles.
Between wintzenheim and turckheim these flat alluvial deposits of the Fecht are rich
in clay (22%). the soil is predominantly of sand, shingle, and silt with a high incidence
of pebbles and frequent plates of loess. From this vineyard come wines which are soft
and sensual. age of vines is 35 years, and grape variety is pinot Blanc.
Bottled in the beginning of March, the wine expresses the freshness, the crisp and

nuary with temperatures going to – 12°C. the end
of February was a little bit milder but the winter
came back in the first half of March again with very
cold temperatures. this frost period destroyed a lot
of young vines and buds in the Colmar area. the
spring arrives finally on time around March 17th. the
vine’s buds are then opening and the growth really
starts. May and June were mostly cold and rainy,
that’s why the blossom, which started around the
10th of June, was perturbed with for result an irregular fecundation of the berries. the summer was
really hot only the first half of July with temperatures
until 35°C but the rest of July and august saw rain,
storm rain and also some hail! the result of these
conditions is the lowest yield in decades!! (under
40 hectolitres per hectare in average) Happily, from
mid-september to mid-october, the weather is dry
and sunny. the harvest begins on the september
20th and finishes on october 15th with the riesling
Grand Cru Hengst and Brand. wines from the 2010
vintage are concentrated and have high acidity.
the grapes were hand-picked and whole-bunch
pressed very slowly and gently in pneumatic presses during 5-8 hours. transferred to thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks, the juice then began a
natural fermentation using only its own natural yeast
which lasted for one month. the fermentation was
initially temperature controlled but was eventually
allowed to proceed at its own pace to allow the
wine to develop its own character and complexity.
the wine stabilized in stainless steel tanks naturally

during the winter season and, following a very gentle filtering, was bottled in March, before the heat of summer, to
preserve the natural carbonic gas (a natural anti-oxidant).
Malolactic fermentation is always avoided at Josmeyer and
no chaptalization takes place.
the small yields of 2010 confer to the wine a concentration
of ripe fruits like apricot or yellow peach. the mouth is well
balanced between the fine acidity and a fleshy side. Long
aftertaste is with a welcome freshness. ideal served fish
terrines, mussels, cockles, omelettes, soufflés, raw vegetables, and creamy cheese.
pinot Blanc Mise du printemps 2010 appears through the
sensibility of an artist. Young and impulsive, it shares with
you its poetry and its intimacy.
