Torey’s Restaurant will be the caterer for the Waseca Lakeside Club for 2016. Lakeside has made a few changes in our catering for the up-coming season. On Friday nights in the spring we will be asking for reservations for dinner. During May reservations should be made by noon on Fridays. To make a reservation call the club at 8352574. USE OF COURSE The golf course is reserved for players -- non-players are allowed on the course for observing, only when permitted by the Club Professional. Small children, strollers, etc. are not permitted on the course. Two people may not play out of one golf bag. SUGGESTIONS FOR BEGINNERS Members just beginning golf should acquaint themselves thoroughly withthe etiquette of golf, as well as the USGA rules before using the golf course for regular play. Also, new golfers are encouraged to receive instructions from the Golf Professional before beginning play on the golf course. SPEED OF PLAY In the interest of all, players on the course should play without delay. When a group of players fails to keep its place on the course by falling more than one hole behind the players in front, or if players behind are obviously playing faster, the slower group in front MUST allow faster players following them to pass.....regardless of the age or sex of those behind. When the play of the hole has been completed, the players should immediately leave the putting green to allow those following to play their approach shots. Recording of scores should be done on the next tee. REPAIR OF COURSE Any turf cut or displaced from the golf course should be replaced. Proper replacement of divots will make the course more attractive and improve the overall playing conditions. A ball in a bunker (sand trap) must be played from where it lies. In order to minimize poor lies, all players leaving a bunker should rake smooth all footprints and depressions. Greens are expensive and require great care. Players should be careful not to scuff or injure the greens when walking. Players should repair ball marks on the greens caused by the impact of the ball. Carts are not permitted within ten yards of greens or on tees. Continued violation of the rules for repair of the course could result in suspension of golf privileges as determined by the Greens Committee. 2 HANDICAP SYSTEM All 9 Hole and 18 hole scores, both home and away, must be recorded in the Golf Shop. Since most club golf events are handicap events -- an accurate handicap system is important to the success of the golf program. Each member must post their score on the computer in the Golf Shop. The U.S.G.A. Stroke Control Handicap System is used for all handicaps. Any questions concerning the system may be directed to the Golf Professional. GUESTS All golf-playing guests must be registered in the golf shop. In town guests privileges are limited to 5 rounds per season per non-member. The host member is responsible for the conduct of his or her guests while at the club. RECIPROCAL GOLF PRIVILEGES Reciprocal golf privileges will again be included in your Lakeside golf membership. Family memberships will receive two complimentary rounds of golf at each reciprocal club, and single memberships will receive one complimentary guest fee. Lakeside members who bring non-member guests to reciprocal clubs will be given the guest fee rate at the host clubs.
