WrestleFest VII
WrestleFest VII -‐ November 25, 2013 Announcer: And now, the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation, in association with the Reliant Stadium, proudly presents... WRESTLEFEST VII!!! As the video package detailing the history of BWF and WrestleFest ends, the lights inside the Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas dim and a massive pyro show ignites the ramp and stage! The turnbuckles even explode with pyro as the nearly sixteen second long pyro show ends with a shower of green sparks dropping down onto the stage. The spotlights begin swiveling around the sold out stadium as "Good Time" by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen blasts over the sound system. The crowd is at a fevered pitch as the cameras finally settle on the classic BWF announce team of Nick Webb and Rob "Rayne" Stratowzky. Nick Webb: Ladies and gentlemen, the night you've all been waiting for has arrived! For the seventh time in history, and the first time in over two years... WELCOME TO WRESTLEFEST!!! Rayne: Oh, my brother, we have one HELL of a show for the fans here tonight! We have returning superstars, championship matches, a battle for full control of BWF between two Hall of Famers and, in the main event, for only the second time in BWF history, an Undisputed BWF World Champion will be crowned! Nick Webb: The first time it happened was nearly ten years ago, on December 31, 2004 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On that night, BWF Champion "Ice" Hensley defeated World Champion Toco in the main event to unify those championships. Tonight, in front of Houston and the world, we will see Havok Champion Outlaw, Crisis Champion Elena Simonova and AJ Adams, whose career is on the line in this match, clash. Rayne: Only one World Champion will be walking out of the Lone Star state tonight... who will it be? DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is your opening match for WrestleFest VII, and it is a Tag Team Turmoil Match to determine the #1 Contenders to the BWF Tag Team Championships!!! Nick Webb: Hey, aren't Johnny Maverick and Jacob Figgins the rightful #1 Contenders to the Tag Titles? Rayne: Yeah, but Figgins got hurt, and totally isn't faking it to wrestle for that wacky Pioneer company instead. I guess Johnny still has the shot? But then, he's a little preoccupied with Brian Cade tonight. I reckon he'll get his shot eventually. Figgins, probably not so much, but hey, thems the breaks. Scott Benjamin: Introducing the first team... Mark Magnum and Justin Hunt... the MILWAUKEE STRETCHING CREW!!! "Poem" by Taproot hits the BlazenTron as the M.S.C., Mark Magnum and Justin Hunt, make their way out onto the stage. They run down the ramp and slide into the ring before posing for the crowd. Nick Webb: As hard as it might be to believe, Mark and Justin here are former Tag Team Champions in BWF, back when the company had two sets of Tag Titles. They even defended the belts at WrestleFest III, way back in 2005! Rayne: And I think that might have been the last time we saw them, if you don't count the random time Hunt returned to team with "Lumber" Jack Jonesy on an edition of Sunday Night Reloaded. Not his finest hour, I imagine. Scott Benjamin: And their opponents... Stryker Cloud and Xander Strife... X-‐FACTOR!!! "No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn" by the Beastie Boys hits the BlazenTron and both Stryker Cloud and Xander Strife head out onto the stage. They make an X with their arms and a gold pyro X goes off on the stage behind them. They make their way to the ring and get ready to compete. Rayne: That's how you know WrestleFest is a major event... even Xander Strife gets pyro. Nick Webb: Hey now, Strife and Cloud are former BWF Tag Team Champions. They're no stranger to gold. Cloud himself is a former multi-‐time World Champion! Rayne: He was also an African Champion back in some place called JWF. Because when I look at the very Asian Stryker Cloud, the first thing that comes to mind is "Champion of Africa". DING! The bell rings as Xander Strife and Justin Hunt start circling each other in the ring. Hunt makes the first move, going for a collar and elbow tie up, but Xander counters out of it, spinning Hunt around before catching him with the X Marks the Spot (Diamond Cutter)! The arena's collective jaw drops as Strife covers Hunt! 1! 2! 3! DING! Scott Benjamin: The team of Mark Magnum and Justin Hunt has been eliminated! The crowd pops, almost out of sheer shock, as Strife stands up and poses for the Houston faithful. On the apron, Mark Magnum throws a fit before dropping off the apron and leaving his partner behind, who is quickly rolled out of the ring by officials. Rayne: BULLSHIT. Nick Webb: I think Xander Strife just had his WrestleFest Moment, Rayne! Ha ha, WOW! As for Justin Hunt... I think he just found a new low, even past teaming with Jonesy! Scott Benjamin: Introducing the next team... PHOENIX AND BIOCYDE!!! "Corpse Within My Soul" by DL Token starts playing as fire explodes from the stage and the behemoth team of Phoenix and BioCyde saunters out. They make their way down the stage as Xander eyes them warily. Nick Webb: Obviously, this Phoenix is not the same one that fans of the AoWF might be accustomed to. This Phoenix goes back to 2004 in the BWF and is a former multi-‐time Tag Team Champion with both BioCyde and Brian Cade. In fact, I believe he holds the record for most Tag Team Championship reigns in BWF! Rayne: And considering how many different partners the Sommers brothers held those titles with, it's a wonder the record isn't theirs! And yes, those ARE the same ones that fans of the AoWF would be accustomed to. Nick Webb: On a side note, if you are a fan of the AoWF... welcome to real wrestling. We'll show you what real competition is all about! Rayne: No puppets, we promise! Phoenix takes the lead for his team, sliding into the ring and catching Xander with a hard spinebuster as BioCyde moves to take out Cloud. The Japanese masked wrestler anticipates this, leaping off of the apron and catching BioCyde with a tornado DDT right into the ring steps! The crowd utters a collective "ooh" as Cloud bounces back to his feet. In the ring, Phoenix hoists Xander up in preparation for his sit-‐down powerbomb finisher, the Phoenix Bomb! Before he can hit the move, though, Cloud rolls into the ring and clips Phoenix's leg from behind, causing the big man to fall backwards! Xander lands on his chest and Cloud immediately hops on top of his tag team partner, and together, the two men use all their weight to cover Phoenix! 1! 2! 3! DING! Scott Benjamin: The team of Phoenix and BioCyde has been eliminated! Stryker Cloud and Xander Strife stand up and motion for gold as the crowd cheers, caught up in the unbelievable feeling of it all. Nick Webb: That's two down! One team to go, and X-‐Factor will be facing Cooper and Simonova for the Tag Team Titles! Rayne: Oh, but what a team... they're going to have their work cut out for them here. Scott Benjamin: Introducing the final team... "Stutterfly" Starla Gardevoir and Kirlia Gardevoir... THE SISTERS GARDEVOIR!!! "Scandalous" by Mis-‐Teeq hits the BlazenTron as the Hall of Fame duo of Sarah James, aka Kirlia Gardevoir, and Katie James, aka Starla Gardevoir, walk out onto the stage with a purpose. They charge the ring and slide inside, immediately starting a brawl with X-‐Factor! Nick Webb: Oh, and here we go! Rayne, of all the teams in this match, the Sisters Gardevoir are the only ones to not have ever held the BWF Tag Team Titles as a unit. Of course, classic BWF fans will remember the old-‐school team of Desire and Kirlia Gardevoir, Femme Fatale, who ruled the tag division for most of 2004. Starla had her own successes, holding the gold with James Reilly and Alli Taylor on separate occasions. Rayne: They have held Tag gold together, namely in that Pioneer place we won't name, but you're right, they've never been BWF Tag Team Champions together. Tonight could be their chance -‐ their only chance -‐ to change that. But that's only if they can get past... ugh, I can't believe I'm about to say this... the unstoppable team of Stryker Cloud and Xander Strife! The girls brawl all over the ring with the guys, culminating in Xander and Starla ending up in the ring together. Xander goes for a clothesline, but Starla ducks it and hits him with a DDT. She runs to the ropes and comes back with a leaping knee across Xander's face before going for a cover. 1! 2! Kickout! Strife gets his shoulder up. Nick Webb: Xander's putting up one hell of a fight tonight! Starla pulls Xander to his feet, but Xander rakes her eyes, sending the young starlet reeling. She shakes it off and turns around, only to walk right into the second X Marks the Spot for the night! The crowd gasps as Strife drops down and covers! Rayne: Are you kidding me!? 1! 2! NO! At the last second, Starla's sister Kirlia dives, breaking up the cover! Stryker Cloud slides into the ring after her, dropping her with a leg sweep. Xander motions for Cloud to pull Kirlia up and he does, holding her in place. Xander rears back and aims a mule kick at Kirlia's face, but at the last second, Kirlia breaks free, leaving Xander to kick Cloud square in the jaw! The crowd pops as Xander drops his guard just for a moment, leaving Kirlia enough time to grab him from behind and bound off the ropes with her Bleeding Rose (Sliced Bread #2)! Nick Webb: That's the move that won Kirlia two BWF World Championships back in 2006! The crowd is alive as Kirlia pulls Starla to her feet and directs her to the corner. Running on instinct, Starla hops to the top of the turnbuckle and turns before leaping off and connecting on Strife with her Aerotica (Swanton Bomb)! Kirlia paces the ring, watching for Cloud as Starla hooks the leg! 1! 2! 3! DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here are your winners and the #1 Contenders to the BWF Tag Team Championships... THE SISTERS GARDEVOIR!!! "Scandalous" by Mis-‐Teeq hits the BlazenTron as Kirlia and Starla hug in the middle of the ring. However, the celebration is short lived, as their music cuts out, and they both turn their attention to the stage. Rayne: Oh, we know what's coming next! Here we go! DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following tag team contest is scheduled for ONE fall... and it is for the BWF Tag Team Championships! Already in the ring, the challengers... Kirlia Gardevoir and Starla Gardevoir... THE SISTERS GARDEVOIR!!! Nick Webb: Katie and Sarah have a golden opportunity here, but they're going to have to get past an undefeated Zoe Cooper and a very dominant Elena Simonova in order to achieve their dreams! Can they do it? Scott Benjamin: And their opponents... they are the current and reigning BWF Tag Team Champions... ELENA SIMONOVA AND ZOE COOPER!!! "Emergency" by Paramore hits the BlazenTron as Elena Simonova and Zoe Cooper walk out onto the stage. They hold their Crisis, Sovereign and Tag Team Championship belts up before making their way down to the ring and rolling inside. The two women point and pose as the music fades. Rayne: I'll tell you what I think. Cooper and Simonova are white hot right now. The Gardevoirs haven't wrestled in how long? There's my pick. That's what I think. DING! The bell rings as Kirlia and Elena tie up in the center of the ring. Elena gains the advantage and sends Kirlia over with a hip toss, ending it with an arm lock. Kirlia wiggles out of the arm lock and trips up Elena before dropping an elbow onto the Crisis World Champion's back. She drops three more elbows before turning Elena over and covering. 1! Kickout! Elena kicks out after just one. Nick Webb: Both Zoe and Elena have matches later tonight. Do you think having to compete now will affect their chances later? Rayne: Depends on how bad they get beaten up. Needless to say, they're already putting in a lot more work than Vespertine, AJ Adams and Outlaw are tonight. If they're not careful, it could definitely hurt their chances later tonight. Kirlia pulls Elena up, but Elena catches her with a back body drop, sending her down to the mat. She begins stomping on Kirlia, finally letting up when the referee pulls her off. She points to Zoe and motions to her eyes before turning back to the rising Kirlia and catching her across the jaw with a wicked Buzzsaw kick. This time, Elena drops down to cover. 1! 2! Kickout! Kirlia gets her shoulder up, but looks dazed. Nick Webb: Elena taking the time to mentor Zoe here. Rayne: I disagree with that. She should be focused on ending this as quickly as possible, especially considering her main event match tonight. Elena starts to pick up Kirlia, but Kirlia catches her with a jawbreaker, dropping both women to the mat! They each start crawling to their corners, with Elena tagging out first, followed by Kirlia tagging out to Starla, who is still shaking off the effects of the first match. The two of them meet up in the center of the ring, with Zoe taking control of the younger Gardevoir sister. Zoe whips Starla into the ropes and hits her Revolutions Per Minute (Rolling Dodge into a Spear)! The crowd pops as Zoe rolls to her feet and kneels down in the corner! Nick Webb: Starla's no slouch in the ring, but she never really recovered from Xander's X Marks the Spot! This might be it here! Indeed, Starla staggers to her feet and turns around, walking right into Zoe's 'Coop' de Etat (Running DDT)! The Sovereign Champion covers as the crowd counts along! 1! 2! NO! At the last second, Kirlia breaks up the pin! The crowd can't believe it! Rayne: Big sister Kirlia just saved the match for her team! Elena leaps into the ring to save her protégé from a beatdown at the hands of Kirlia, only to receive a clothesline for her troubles. With Elena and Zoe down, Kirlia grabs Starla and drags her over to their corner, before slipping back out onto the apron and tagging herself back in. She immediately makes a beeline for Zoe, going for the cover. 1! 2! Kickout! Zoe kicks out at just after two! Kirlia picks Zoe up and prepares her for the Bleeding Rose, but as she comes off the ropes with Zoe locked in position, Elena catches Kirlia on her shoulders! Kirlia drops Zoe and receives a Death Valley Driver for her troubles. With Kirlia dazed, Elena wastes no time in picking her up before hitting her with the Reverse Psychology (C4)! She immediately moves to the corner, dropkicking the recovering Starla off of the apron. Stutterfly unceremoniously flies into the side of the announcer's table, effectively removing her from the equation. With the opening, Zoe recovers long enough to lock in her Z-‐
Clamp (Dragon Sleeper with Scissors) on the BWF Hall of Famer! It takes a few moments of fighting, but with nowhere to go, Kirlia finally concedes and taps out. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here are your winners and STILL BWF Tag Team Champions... ELENA SIMONOVA AND ZOE COOPER!!! "Emergency" by Paramore hits the BlazenTron as Elena helps Zoe to her feet. They are handed their hardware by the referee and the duo poses, the fans cheering for Zoe, while mostly giving a lukewarm reaction to Elena. Nick Webb: I will say, this is a strange pairing on paper, but dammit if they aren't effective as a tag team! Elena Simonova and Zoe Cooper are victorious! Rayne: Will that be the case later tonight, though? Either way, at least when Havok hits the airwaves next, we at least know who will be carrying the Tag Team Titles! The Power Transfer The camera shifts backstage, where we see BWF's Senior interviewer, Don McMichael, standing by. Don McMichael: Please welcome at this time, the C.E.O. of the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation, Jennifer Hart Corlen. The camera pans over to reveal the C.E.O. in all her glory. Jen smiles to the camera. Don McMichael: Miss Corlen, you specifically requested this time, so the floor is yours. Jen Corlen: Thank you, Don. I'm going to make this short and sweet. I know someone like Elizabeth Davis has a problem with the fact that I'm allowing the sole GM-‐ship to be decided by a professional wrestling match, but this is the business, and it's how things have been handled for decades. Does it make perfect business sense? Not really, but pro wrestling plays by her own rules, and with that in mind, I have an additional announcement to make regarding tonight's Battle for Full Control. Jen pauses for emphasis. Jen Corlen: After tonight's event ends, I am officially stepping down as the C.E.O. of the BWF. Nick Webb: WHAT?! Rayne: You're kidding me! Jen Corlen: I have dabbled in the pro wrestling business for over a decade now, but I'm interested in moving on and focusing on the next stage of my life. Therefore, tonight's Battle for Full Control will not simply be for the sole General Manager position; it will be for my job as well. The representative of the winner of tonight's match between Gabe Shelley and Casey Campbell will truly gain full control of the BWF. The title they choose to give themselves from there is entirely up to them. Good luck to both my sister, Emily and my ex-‐husband, David. I hope for your sake, you made the right choice regarding your chosen competitors. Jen smiles at the camera again and nods to Don before walking off screen. Don seems flabbergasted as he turns back to the camera. Don McMichael: T-‐truly a new era will dawn for the BWF tonight. Nick, Rayne, back to you. The camera cuts back to the ring. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: The following contest is an over the top rope battle royal. In the ring are twenty competitors that have graced the ring since the return of the BWF in April. The winner is the last one standing! Inside the ring all of the competitors are crowded and it doesn’t take long before they all start pushing and shoving. Jonathan Cage, Circa Zalza, Zachariah Boone, Apollo Nighthawk, Airica Linn, the Minstrel, Savior, Veyron, X.L. Pendergast, Salem Croft, Catherine Jewel, Catness, Edwin Kerrigan, "Godless" Flynn McLoughlin, Lacey Vonricht, Kumquat Kid, Kid Ant, Logan Avery, Tyler Chandler, and Chad Collins have all filled the ring. It’s hard to see who is hitting who as the crowd just cheers the action. DING! Nick Webb: I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many people in the ring all at the same time. Rayne: This is nuts! Veyron is seen getting tossed over the ropes by Salem Croft and he lands with a big thud on the outside. Scott Benjamin: Veyron has been eliminated! Apollo Nighthawk starts to throw his weight around the ring as small groups have begun to fight in the ring. Nighthawk grabs Linn and drops her with a headbutt before grabbing Collins and hitting him with a scoop slam. Kid Ant comes rushing Nighthawk and gets picked up in a body press and thrown out of the ring. Scott Benjamin: Kid Ant has been eliminated! Minstrel is standing on top of a turnbuckle and Jonathan Cage rushes him and pushes him off to the outside. Minstrel hits hard as the fans “oooh”. Scott Benjamin: The Minstrel has been eliminated! Catness is flying all around the ring with fast attacks and trying not to get caught and Kerrigan catches in and hits her with a hard elbow to the face. She hits the mat as Kerrigan starts to work on tossing her out. Croft comes from behind and locks in the Hangman’s Noose (Guillotine Choke). Boone starts to drop people left and right with clotheslines and headbutts as the fans cheer him on. Savior charges and tries to take him down with a clothesline but Boone just stands there. He grabs him by his dreadlocks and pulls him around the ring before tossing him up and over the ropes. Scott Benjamin: Savior has been eliminated! Boone grabs Chandler and flips him over his shoulder and out of the ring. Scott Benjamin: Tyler Chandler has been eliminated! Catness, Vonricht, and Jewel are all trying to dump Linn over the top rope and eventually succeed and they cheer. Scott Benjamin: Airica Linn has been eliminated! Jewel clotheslines both Catness and Vonricht and they go up and over the top rope. Scott Benjamin: Catness and Lacey Vonricht have been eliminated! Godless has been working on Pendergast for some time now and almost has him over the top rope but Pendergast starts to battle back. Godless turns around and gets dropped with a Shadow Kick (Superkick) by Cage and goes flipping over the top ropes. Scott Benjamin: "Godless" Flynn McLoughlin has been eliminated! Pendergast finally gets dumped by Boone. Scott Benjamin: X.L. Pendergast has been eliminated! Logan Avery tries to set Cage up for the Pipebomb (Tiger Driver) but gets flipped backwards over the top rope. Scott Benjamin: Logan Avery has been eliminated! Nick Webb: We’re down now to Jonathan Cage, Circa Zalza, Zachariah Boone, Apollo Nighthawk, Salem Croft, Catherine Jewel, Edwin Kerrigan, Kumquat Kid and Chad Collins. Collins gets clotheslined over the top but falls to the apron by Kerrigan. Kerrigan tries to push him off but Collins won’t let go of the ropes. Eventually Kerrigan gets flipped over the ropes by Croft. Croft tries to push both Collins and Kerrigan off but gets dumped over the ropes by Nighthawk. Nighthawk throws his arms out for clotheslines and pushes all three men off. Scott Benjamin: Salem Croft, Edwin Kerrigan, and Chad Collins have been eliminated! Jewel and Kumquat Kid are going back and forth in the ring before Kumquat Kid ducks out of the way as Cage comes in with a Shadow Kick on Jewel. Cage gathers her up and tosses her over the ropes. Scott Benjamin: Catherine Jewel has been eliminated! Circa has Nighthawk in a corner and is working on tossing him but can’t get him over the ropes as he’s holding on. Kumquat Kid comes to help and they toss Nighthawk up and over to the floor. Scott Benjamin: Apollo Nighthawk has been eliminated! Rayne: Final four! Nick Webb: Jonathan Cage, Zachariah Boone, Circa, or Kumquat Kid are going to win this thing. Cage and Circa lock up as Boone and Kumquat Kid battle it out. Boone and Cage whip Circa and Kumquat Kid at each other but Kumquat Kid jumps over Circa and crossbodys Cage. Kid jumps up and the crowd eats it up as he yells “VIVA LA KUMQUAT!”. Circa gets a spinebuster from Boone. He picks her up and rushes her to the ropes and sends her flying over the top. Scott Benjamin: Circa Zalza has been eliminated! Cage is back to his feet and has Kumquat Kid backed into a corner. Boone comes up behind him and flips Cage over the top ropes. Cage is holding and is able to get back in the ring but is right back against the ropes. Kumquat Kid rushes the two men and hits a big crossbody and they all flip over. Kumquat Kid holds on to the ropes and keeps his feet from hitting the floor below. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Jonathan Cage and Zachariah Boone have been eliminated! Therefore, here is your winner… THE KUMQUAT KID!!! Kumquat Kid flips back into the ring as “Sell Out” by Reel Big Fish starts to play and Kumquat Kid celebrates in the ring. Nick Webb: Unbelievable finish! What a win for Ryan Lewis, the Kumquat Kid! Rayne: You got your WrestleFest Moment under the big lights in BWF, kid! Congratulations! Good Help The feed cuts to the backstage area where we are treated to a shot of a real piece of work. The man in question is Caucasian but is sporting corn rows and a silver grill. Shudder. He is wearing a Hawaiian shirt over a filthy old wife beater and cargo shorts. In his hands he's carrying a hot dog and a bottle of water. The shot pulls out and we see that he is standing by returning wrestler, former BWF World Champion Finale. The Houston audience pops at the sight of Super Shredder and despite this Finale doesn't look to be in a good mood. Finale: What the hell took you so long Smoothie? Smoothie: Dawg findin' the concession stand in this place is next to impossible right? I walked around for like twenty minutes. Finale: It's been nearly an hour since I sent you to get me a bottle of water. Smoothie: Well I had to take a slam, doggie. Finale: A slam? Smoothie: You know, I had to pinch one. Finale: Fucking lovely. Listen moron if you are going to be my assistant you need to be a bit more on the ball. Understand? Smoothie: Not really. I-‐-‐ Before Smoothie can finish his thought a familiar face walks into the frame, BWF Hall of Famer Gabe Shelley. He gets a huge pop from the audience and rightly so. Finale: Well look what the wind blew in. Gabe Shelley: Hello Rory. Finale: What can I do for you Scrappy Doo? Gabe Shelley: I assumed that you would come find me at some point tonight. You always try to find some way to humiliate me so I am beating you to the punch. Here I am, do you worst. Finale looks over at Smoothie with a perplexed expression. Finale: That doesn't sound like something I'd do. Gabe Shelley: Oh come on. I know you have something planned, so let's just get on with it. Smoothie: Ain't you Mad Dogg? Bitch I'm a huge fan! Shelley gives Smoothie a puzzled look. Gabe Shelley: Did this… thing just call me a bitch? Finale: Sounded like it. Regardless, I'm not here to fuck with you Gabbers. Hell last time we were on the same show I reffed your match and I was completely impartial! You fucking won for Christ's sake. Gabe Shelley: You didn't do anything as referee! Literally nothing. I had to tell you when to count the pinfall. Finale: Exactly. Totally impartial. You've got nothing to worry about pal, I'm here for business tonight. The business of ass... Gabe Shelley: What? Finale: Let me finish. Finale pauses for a moment. Finale: …kicking. I'm here to kick someone's ass. See my match is about me, don't you have like an entire company's future in your hands tonight? You'd think that would be your bigger worry, oui? Gabe Shelley: Well yeah but I just figured… Finale: Come now Gabriel, surely that is more important than little old me. I'm harmless when it comes to you. Gabe Shelley: Are you sure about that? Finale: For tonight at least, yeah I'm like 73% sure. Smoothie: Yeah dawg. He ain't gonna fuck with you. Finale shoots Smoothie a glare. Finale: Hey Nancy, don't ever go visiting my intentions. Smoothie: But you just said-‐-‐ Finale: I know what I said, let me be the one to say it. Christ you can barely speak with those horrific braces clamped on your face. Smoothie: It's a grill actual-‐-‐ Finale: Shut. Up. Forever. Finale turns back to Shelley with a smile. Finale: Anyways pal, good to see you and good luck tonight! Now if you'll excuse me, I must continue my preparations. With an unsure glare Shelley scoffs and walks out of the frame. Smoothie: You still want this water boss? Finale: Did you wash your hands after you "slammed"? Silence. Finale: You're fucking useless Smoothie. Smoothie: I know. Finale walks off leaving Smoothie alone. He slowly brings his hand up to his face and sniffs it before the scene cuts. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first, she hails from London, Ontario, Canada... weighing in tonight at 135 pounds... KELLY KEAGAN!!! "Make Me Proud" by Drake hits the BlazenTron as Kelly Keagan runs down the ramp, slapping hands with fans. She slides into the ring and climbs the nearest turnbuckle as pyro shoots out from the stage. Nick Webb: Kelly Keagan was put on the shelf several weeks back by the now unemployed Emperor Ian. Tonight, she returns to the ring to face off against Ursula Areano, who has yet to win a match here in BWF. Scott Benjamin: And her opponent, she hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina... weighing in tonight at 131 pounds... URSULA AREANO!!! "Weight of the World" by Evanescence is heard on the sound system and Ursula Areano comes out from behind the curtain. When she gets to the ramp, shower fireworks reign down on her. She walks down the ramp with her hips moving back and forth and she is swinging her arms. She gets on the apron and enters the ring between the ropes. After that she walks over to the ropes on the right side and stands on the first rope. She then bends over and looks at the fans with a smile on her face. She then gets off the ropes and walks to one side of the ring and waits for the officials to start the match. Rayne: I get the feeling there's been a little bit of culture shock as far as Ursula finding her niche in the BWF. However, tonight's as good a night as any, maybe even better, to start winning! If she can best a former Tag Team Champion, Ursula Areano might be well on her way to superstardom! DING! Both women waste no time in hooking up. They start off with a fast past going back and forth, arm locking, countering, arm locking, twisting and then all of a sudden they break, back up and look at each other. Nick Webb: Both women testing one another out here, each wary of making the first move. They hook up again and for a few seconds neither gains the advantage. Kelly backs Ursula up into the corner. The referee rushes over to get between them and pulls Kelly off Ursula. Rayne: I'd make a comment about a weight difference here, but four pounds is pretty negligible, wouldn't you say? Nick Webb: I would. There's no weight difference at all between these two women. Ursula then reaches out and slaps Kelly across the face. Kelly turns back quickly with a mad look on her face and charges Ursula but again the referee gets between them. She pushes the referee out of the way to get to Ursula, gives Ursula a European uppercut, then grabs her hand and irish whips her towards the ropes. Kelly goes to the middle of the ring and attempts a clothesline but Ursula ducks under it. She then runs the ropes herself and jumps at the last second and as Ursula comes back, she executes a Whisper in the Wind. Ursula goes down and as soon as Kelly gets up she hooks the leg. 1! 2! Kickout! At 2 and a quarter, Ursula kicks out. Kelly gets up quickly and runs to the corner post and climbs up. Ursula gets to her feet and looks around for Kelly. When she finally spies her, Kelly jumps out and attempts a flying clothesline but Ursula times it right and gives her a Buenos Aires Superkick (Sweet Chin Music) and kicks her in the chest, Ursula staggers back from the impact and Kelly falls hard on the mat. Ursula quickly goes for a cover. 1! 2! Kickout! At 2 and a half Kelly kicks out. Ursula gets on her knees and argues with the referee telling him to count faster. Kelly is slowly getting up and when Ursula turns around she attempts another European Uppercut but Ursula sees it and blocks it. Ursula tries to punch Kelly in the face but Kelly block it. This goes back and forth for a while before Kelly gets the idea to run the ropes. Ursula winds up and attempts a Fist of Fury (knockout punch) but Kelly ducks under it. On the rebound, Ursula jumps over her. Kelly rebounds again and tries a flying clothesline but Ursula drops into a splits and Kelly goes flying right over in a somersault. Ursula is quick to get up and run the ropes herself. When she comes back and just as Kelly stands up, she executes a running dropkick to Kelly's chest. Kelly staggers backwards, falls against the ropes and then goes through to the arena floor below. Rayne: Ursula's opening up a can on Kelly right about now! Keagan made a mistake going for that clothesline. Ursula looks around and then waits for a bit and then when Kelly stands up, she runs to the ropes behind her, rebounds and then flies over the ropes and performs a Senton Bomb onto Kelly. Both women crash onto the mat. The crowd nearest them cheers loudly and the referee starts the 10 count. Nick Webb: Both women are down... this one could end in a countout! At the count of five, both women start stirring. 6... 7... 8... Both women are up and staggering towards the ring 9... Both women get in at the same time. Rayne: And this match continues -‐ barely! Kelly goes over to Ursula, grabs her shoulder and spins her around. She punches Ursula right in the temple. Ursula staggers back and then fires a right hook which lands on Kelly. They go back and forth doing this for a while, the crowd cheering Kelly and booing Ursula. Finally, Kelly gets the upper hand and staggers Ursula back to the corner post. The referee gets between them to break it up. When Kelly backs up, Ursula pushes the referee into Kelly, knocking them both down. Ursula goes over to Kelly, picks her up by the hair and then snapmares her back to the mat. She then gets into a Melina Lock (Reverse Bridge Chinlock). A few seconds later Kelly taps out but the referee is still stirring from hitting Kelly and so doesn't see her tap. Nick Webb: This match is over, but the referee is still out! Ursula finally unlocks her hold and goes over to the referee and slaps him across the head to get him to wake up. She picks him up and tells him that Kelly tapped out but he shrugs and rubs his head. As Ursula is arguing with the referee, Kelly sneaks up behind her and then puts her in a schoolboy rollup pin plus pulling on her tights. The referee gets into position to start the three count but it seems to be slow. 1! 2! At 2, Ursula kicks out. Now it is Kelly's turn to get into the referee's face and tell him to go faster in his count. Kelly turns around right into a Buenos Aires Superkick but somehow she sees it coming and catches Ursula's foot, she pulls Ursula to the middle of the ring and then looks around. Rayne: Whatever Kelly is planning, she'd better do it quick; Ursula's not going to be prone for long! She spins Ursula around, grabs her from behind, picks her up and performs a belly to back suplex. Both women go crashing to the mat but it's Kelly who gets up first. She goes over to Ursula and attempts a Figure Four Leg lock on her but Ursula tries her hardest to fight it. She can't quite seem to break Kelly and finally Kelly locks it in. Ursula screams out in pain but when the referee asks if she wants to tap out, she shakes her head no. She lays on her back and the referee counts to 2 before she gets on her elbows. From somewhere she gets the wherewithal to lean forward and slap Kelly across the face. Kelly applies more pressure. Ursula slaps her again. Kelly doesn't let go and Ursula screams out in pain again. Kelly screams at the referee to ask her. He does so and Ursula shakes her head no. With a sudden burst of strength, Ursula uses her arms to crawl back as she is a few inches from the bottom ropes. She lays back and stretches for it but can't quiet reach it. She stretches again and finally clamps onto the bottom rope. The referee sees this and tells Kelly to get off which she does. Ursula takes this opportunity to rub her legs. Nick Webb: Ursula refusing to quit here tonight. Has she finally found that something deep down? Kelly gets up and Ursula sees her get up and so kips up herself. Kelly charges her and attempts a clothesline but Ursula ducks and Kelly goes over to the floor below. Ursula turns around, uses the ropes for leverage and then launches herself over the ropes to execute a 450 splash onto Kelly. Both women lay stunned on the ground. Rayne: What a move! This match is over if Ursula can crawl into the cover! Ursula is the first one to stir. She gets up and at the referee's count of 5, pulls Kelly up and rolls her into the ring. She goes over to Kelly and clamps on the Crossing the Border (Crippler Cross Face). The referee goes over to Kelly to ask if she wants to tap and she shakes her head no. Ursula shifts her position and applies more pressure. Kelly's hand goes up and balls into a fist. Ursula screams out in fury and applies more pressure. Kelly then taps out. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... URSULA AREANO!!! "Weight of the World" by Evanescence is heard on the sound system as Ursula Areano stands up and has her arm raised by the referee. She exclaims happily before posing in the corner as the ref checks on Kelly. Nick Webb: What a victory for Ursula Areano! The Argentinian Scrapper wins with a wicked submission hold that Kelly just couldn't get out of. Rayne: Hell of a first win, Ursula! Welcome to the big leagues; you're now 1-‐0 at WrestleFest! The Last(?) Interview We are backstage of Reliant Stadium in front of a WrestleFest VII backdrop as Don McMichael stands by with a microphone in hand. He nods and smiles to the camera as he’s set to go. Don McMichael: Tonight we bring together two championships and find out who the true BWF World Champion is. While there’s so much on the line one could argue that no one has more on the line in that match than my guest tonight; AJ Adams. The crowd erupts as AJ Adams comes into view of the camera shot and he can’t hide his smile. Don McMichael: AJ, tonight is not only a night where you could once again become the BWF World Champion but it could be the night you lose your job. The simple question would be, how do you feel? McMichael holds the microphone for Adams as he starts to speak. AJ Adams: Excited. There’s 70,000 people here tonight all waiting to watch one of the biggest matches in the history of the BWF and I’m a part of that match. I have the chance to once again stand at the top of the BWF and hold my championship, the BWF World Championship. Don McMichael: But what about if you lose? Adams shakes his head as if he can’t believe what was just asked. AJ Adams: That’s not a thought you can have going into any match, let alone one this big. There’s no second chances so I’m only focused on winning. Don McMichael: Fair enough. How’s the shoulder? AJ rolls it a few times and nods with a shrug. AJ Adams: I’m not going to lie and say it’s at 100% or anything but it’s feeling pretty good. It was a little sore after the last Havok and my match with Ian but I’ve been rehabbing it all week to get to tonight. It’s ready to go. Don McMichael: Are you regretting your decision to take the match? AJ Adams: Never. There’s no hesitation from Adams on the question as he looks right at McMichael. AJ Adams: Forget the odds, forget injuries. None of that matters because after tonight I leave a mark on the BWF. I’m headlining WrestleFest, the biggest event of the year. Passing that up would have been against the competitor in me. Ever since signing with the BWF I’ve strived to be the very best and to leave a lasting legacy. I’ve survived Hellbound, I’ve beaten Kyle Cross in Toronto, and tonight I become a three time BWF World Champion. Outlaw and Elena Simonova have so much on the line tonight. It won’t be last call for my BWF career, it’ll be lights out for their championship reigns. Adams stops and looks into the camera and back to Don. Don McMichael: Good luck. The two shake hands as the fans watch AJ Adams walk away. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: The following contest is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first, he hails from San Diego, California... weighing in at 235 pounds... THE BIG O!!! The lights in the arena fade to a deep black as the beats of "One Step Closer" by Linkin Park hits the BlazenTron. A black light comes on over the entire arena as the band begins to sing. I cannot take this anymore I'm saying everything I've said before All these words they make no sense I find bliss in ignorance Less I hear the less you'll say But you'll find that out anyway... Just as the song reaches the chorus, Tommy Oliver, aka The Big O, steps onto the stage, his outfit lit up in neon from the black light. He poses and points to the fans, then runs towards the ring as the chorus plays. Everything you say to me Takes me one step closer to the edge And I'm about to break I need a little room to breathe Cause I'm one step closer to the edge And I'm about to break! The Big O slides into the ring, then runs to the nearest turnbuckle and poses for the fans as the crowd chants his name. As the song fades, he jumps down and removes his Khaki overshirt. Scott Benjamin: And his opponent... he hails from Buffalo, New York by way of Toronto, Ontario, Canada... weighing in at 245 pounds... he is the Super Shredder... FINALE!!! The lights dim and the audience stirs as static illuminates the BlazenTron. The opening chords of "27 Club" by letlive. twang through the arena. As the vocals kick in, there is a burst of pyro that rises up between the steel grates of the stage and Finale bursts through the curtain. A collective roar rises up from the masses in attendance as he swaggers down to the ring, nodding his head to the beat and engaging the fans that line either side of the ramp. He then runs and slides into the ring under the bottom rope, turns left and leaps up to the second rope and gestures to the hard camera while yelling "Naptime is oooooover!" DING! The familiar ding of the bell sounds and we're ready to fight. Big O and Finale meet up in the centre of the ring. The audience is split pretty evenly in support of the two respective former World Champions. They look each other dead in the eye for a moment before Big O starts trash talking. Finale (uncharacteristically) says nothing, he just stares with a slightly perplexed expression. Big O continues to go on and on until Finale snickers, turns away and then delivers one hell of an open hand slap that drops Big O to a knee. Rayne: It didn't take long for Finale to show his true colours. Nick Webb: He's never really been one for sportsmanship. I see this match degrading into a brawl pretty quickly. Rayne: Big O is a master martial artist, Finale won't be able to strike with him. The Houston crowd lights up for that one as Big O looks up at Finale and wipes a small amount of blood away from his own lip. He then springs up and puts his shoulder into Finale's mid-‐section, driving him hard into the nearest corner. Big O follows that up with a big upper cut to momentarily subdue his opponent. Big O then proceeds to grasp the middle rope on either side of Finale before the latter can do anything. Big O begins repeatedly driving his shoulder into the Finale's mid-‐section. Rayne: Big O is a former two time BWF World Champion. Finale only held that crown once. Right now Big O is showing the world exactly why he has one up on his opponent. After a half dozen shoulder thrusts in the corner, Big O leads Finale out to the centre of the ring by his head and takes him over with a snapmare. Big O looks to apply a chin lock but Finale gets up to his feet, grasps the back of Big O's head and then drops down into a seated position, a perfectly executed sit-‐out reverse jawbreaker. Nick Webb: A big counter puts Finale back into this contest. Rayne: He'll need to keep the pressure because if Big O can get off a big combination, Finale won't be long for this world. Big O staggers backwards and Finale quickly bolts towards his opponent and hits a high knee to the jaw that sends Big O over the top rope and down to the floor. Big O lands hard and yet quickly recovers, however, as soon as he is up to his feet Finale has hit the ropes on the opposite side of the ring. Giving Big O zero time to react, Finale comes flying over the top to the outside and crashes down on Big O with a somersault plancha! Both men are down and the Houston crowd is on their feet. Rayne: A pointlessly risky move FAR too early in this contest. Finale hasn't matured at all since we last saw him. Nick Webb: That's one school of thought, but the move did pay off as Finale is quickly back up to his feet and Big O is still down. Finale gets Big O up but is hit with some mean uppercuts to the mid-‐section. Big O then applies a front face lock and goes for a vertical suplex but Finale bends his knees and causes his feet to hit the second rope, slinging him back in the opposite direction! This momentum puts Big O head first into the floor with a swinging DDT! The impact is sickening and earns a big "Oooooooh!" from the audience. Finale gets up and takes a bow before making a masturbatory gesture at Big O. Rayne: Completely disrespectful to a BWF original player. Who the hell does Finale think he is? Nick Webb: He probably thinks he's one of the only undefeated World Champions BWF has ever seen, because he is. And he got there with a similar attitude to what he's displaying right now. The audience is loving it! Rayne: They would because it's low brow and we're in the shit state that is Texas. Yeesh. Plus, let's not forget, the ONLY reason he's an "undefeated World Champion" in BWF is because he bolted from the company before his first title defense! But, Emily Corlen can tell you all about that... provided she keeps her job tonight! The Buffalo Butcher gets the former Power Ranger to his feet and slides him back into the ring. Finale makes eye contact with the referee, who has been shouting incessantly and spits in his general direction. Finale then gets up onto the apron and takes a moment to showboat for the crowd before he climbs to the top rope. Rayne: This guy is the worst. Come on O, get up and kick his damned head off. Just as he reaches the summit, Big O springs up to his feet, charges and leaps to the second rope taking Finale off of the top with a big time arm drag. Finale hits the canvas with a thud and the audience likes that as well. They really don't seem to have a definitive bias. Cowards. Nick Webb: A big move from Big O to change the tide of this match! Rayne: You couldn't have said "huge move" Webb? You sound ridiculous. Feeling pretty proud of himself at this point, Big O gets Finale to his feet and peppers his abdomen with some big shots. Big O then catches Finale with a high roundhouse kick to the head followed by a lightning quick knee to the stomach. Once Finale is significantly doubled over Big O hits him with a rising uppercut. Finale is nearly taken off of his feet...nearly. Displeased with his inability to knock Finale down Big O goes for a discus clothesline but Finale ducks underneath it. Rayne: HERE IT-‐-‐-‐damnit. Nick Webb: Finale evades what was sure to be a devastating blow. Rayne: Let's be truthful, it would have killed him. Damnit. When both men turn to face each other again Finale strikes first. He does a little spin of his own and nearly kicks Big O's head into the tenth row with the Buffalo '66! The sound is horrifying and Big O stays vertical for a brief moment, however his eyes have rolled back into his head. He falls forward right onto his face and Finale covers, hooking the leg. 1! 2! Rayne: Nope! Nick Webb: A close call for Big O, I was sure Finale knocked him out cold. Rayne: Yeah right, Big O is a trained martial artist. It will take more than some entitled hipster from Buffalo to k.o. Tommy Oliver. Big O kicks out at the last possible second but Finale doesn't look deterred. In fact, the sonuvabitch looks pleased. What an ass, amirite? Ever the sadist, Finale gets Big O up and launches him across the ring with an Irish whip. Big O stumbles a bit on his way but hits the ropes. Unfortunately for Big O, just as he turns Finale greets him with a lunging uppercut that puts Big O over the top rope. Luckily the latter is able to land on the apron. Nick Webb: Another effective shot from Finale. Big O needs to do something here to curb Super Shredder's momentum. Rayne: Super Shredder, Power Rangers…it's like a late 80s early 90s nostalgia party around here these days. The audience is fully invested in this match as Finale reaches over the top rope and takes hold of Big O by the head. The latter fights back, clobbering Finale in the side of the head with a right hand and then attempts to suplex Finale over the top rope. He gets Finale up and over however Finale does a full rotation upon the release and lands on his feet on the outside. Nick Webb: What athleticism from Finale! I cannot believe that! Finale quickly turns around and pulls Big O's legs out from under him, the latter's face smashing off of the ring apron on the way down. Finale grabs Big O's head and proceeds to thrust his pelvis into his opponent's head, earning a big pop from the audience. Disgusting, but humorous. Finale chuckles before rolling Big O back into the ring. Rayne: Will the vulgarity never end!? Nick Webb: I had no idea you were so sensitive to adult material. Rayne: I am when it's perpetrated by obnoxious tools. As soon as he's rolled into the ring Big O gets up, probably on instinct alone. Finale hops up to the apron and goes for a springboard. As he flies into the ring Big O catches him with a kung-‐fu straight punch that takes Finale out of the air like a missile. Finale lands with a thud on the canvas and Big O quickly covers, looking for a massive win on his return. 1! 2! Rayne: Oh come on! He was out cold! Finale gets his shoulder up and there's an audible sigh of relief from a great number of people in the audience. Big O grabs Finale by the head and looks around at the audience in Houston. Big O calls for the end and there's a cheer that rivals Finale's supporters. Big O grabs Finale's arm and looks for the Howling Slam! Rayne: This is it! Nick Webb: If Big O hits this it is over for Finale! At the last possible second Finale slips out of Big O's grasp and lands behind him. Finale then arrogantly slaps Big O in the back of the head. Big O turns and looks for another roundhouse kick but Finale ducks under it and plants Big O face first into the canvas with a reverse side Russian leg sweep. Finale immediately follows that up by applying Nevermind! His supporters roar in approval while Finale wrenches back on Big O's neck with a sadistic smirk on the former's face. Rayne: No no Tommy get to the ropes! C'mon! Nick Webb: This is Finale's patented submission, Big O is dead centre of the ring. As Big O screams in pain, blood starts running down his face from his nose thanks to the move that put him on the canvas in the first place. Finale wrenches back and while the Big O half of the audience tries to will on their man, the Finale fans are matching them in volume. Finale: Come on Nancy! Tell the nice man that you quit! Hahahaha. Big O has no way out of the hold and is forced to submit. The referee calls for the bell and as soon as Finale hears it, he breaks the hold. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... FINALE!!! "27 Club" cues up and the Finale fans are elated. Finale gets his hand raised and then walks over to a corner, he climbs up to the top rope and shouts "IT'S NOT GETTING ANY BETTER TONIGHT THAN ME KIDS!" before jumping down. When he does, he is face to face with Big O who is still nursing a bloody nose and mouth region. There is a brief moment of tension before Big O holds out his hand out of respect. Rayne: You lost Tommy! Don't shake this idiot's hand. Nick Webb: Big O is a class act but I don't-‐-‐ Finale looks down at Big O's gesture and then looks him in the eye. Finale then cracks up and starts laughing hysterically. He passes by Big O and pie faces him out of the way before exiting the ring. There is a second where Big O looks like he is going to give chase but instead remains in the ring. Finale gets to the top of the ramp and turns back to the ring. Finale: The Wolf is OFFICIALLY at your door BWF. And with that he disappears behind the curtain as his theme continues to echo throughout the arena. The Good Old Days We cut backstage to the Sisters Gardevoir, still recuperating from their match earlier in the evening. Despite their disappointing loss, they seem to be in good spirits, having an inaudible discussion with one another. Kirlia Gardevoir, aka Sarah James, laughs and turns around... walking right into the chest of the monster Brian Cade. Brian Cade: Long time no see... Sarah. Cade chuckles and eyes the woman he beat to become BWF World Champion (and the woman who took that title back from him) up and down. Sarah James: Brian Cade. I'd recognize that ugly mug anywhere. What do you want? Cade removes the hood from his head and begins to gently run his fingers through Sarah's hair. Brian Cade: I've missed you. Repulsed, Sarah rears back and cracks Cade across the mouth with a thunderous slap. Katie pulls her sister back and the two quickly walk off screen. Cade wipes blood from the corner of his mouth and starts to laugh as the camera cuts back to the ring. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: The following Falls Count Anywhere match is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first, he hails from Atlanta, Georgia... weighing in tonight at 350 pounds... he is the Scarfaced Snake... JOHN ROBERTS!!! The lights go out and the sound of many snakes hissing can be heard which is followed up by the sound of a woman screaming. Slowly "In Time" by Mark Collins comes up on the BlazenTron and red lights shine upon the entrance whereupon we see a huge brute of a man, the Scarfaced Snake, John Roberts, in a long black trenchcoat duster, standing at the entrance looking down at the ground. The guitar strums to indicate the start of the song and John takes a few steps forward, stops at the top of the ramp and looks around at the audience. I can hear what you’re thinking All your doubts and fears And if you look into my eyes, you’ll find The reason I’m here John makes his way slowly down to the ring, the audience closest to him shies away from him when he looks in their direction. And in time all things shall pass away In time, you may come back someday To live once more, or die once more But in time, your time will be no more When John gets to the ring area, he looks both ways and a slow smile creeps across his face which lights up the scar under his right eye. You know your days are numbered Count them one by one Like notches in the handle of an outlaw's gun You can outrun the devil, if you try But you'll never outrun the hands of time Then, John grabs the bottom rope and climbs onto the ring apron. He stops and looks around again and then he goes over the ropes. The lights slowly comes back up as he takes off his trenchcoat and hat and warms up using the ring ropes for leverage. Nick Webb: John Roberts looks ready for this match, easily the biggest match of his BWF career to date. Rayne: Of course he looks ready; no one comes to WrestleFest without being ready! Scott Benjamin: And his opponent... being accompanied to the ring by Katrina Evans... he hails from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada... weighing in tonight at 220 pounds... he is the Abominable Showman... MATT STONE!!! "Whoa is Me" by Down With Webster hits the BlazenTron and the crowd immediately starts booing. Say whoa (whoa) The more I feel it (whoa) The more I need it (whoa) You say whoa Whoa is me I'm so whoa Matt Stone comes out from the back to a chorus of boos, followed by Katrina. He struts down the ramp towards the ring, wearing his patterned hoodie with a large Maple Leaf on the back. He threatens to hit a member of the crowd who was holding up a Canada sucks sign and just walks on, Katrina shaking her head at his aggression. The more I feel it (whoa) The more I need it (whoa) You say whoa Whoa is me I'm so whoa Matt gets on the apron and takes a look at John, who is eyeing him carefully. Thinking twice, Stone gets down from the apron and shakes his head, thinking better of going in head first. He escorts Katrina around the ring and towards the announce table. Rayne: Look how attractive Katrina is, Nick. Nick Webb: It looks like she might be joining us, actually. Rayne: Great! Katrina sits down in a chair beside Rayne, putting on a spare headset that has been left for just such an occasion. Katrina Evans: Hello, boys. Nick Webb: Hello, Katrina, thanks for joining us. Rayne: Feel free to stay as long as you like! We hear Katrina giggle as Stone looks to get inside the ring, Roberts’ eyes meeting his once again, the big man never taking a step away from his corner throughout this process. Matt slides in the ring and quickly gets to his feet, waiting for the referee to call for the bell, which he does rather quickly. DING! At the sound of the bell, Stone charges across the ring and leaps at John, shooting a few right hands straight to his skull before John pushes him off, Matt rolling backwards to his feet and charging again, once again leaping up and connecting with a few more right hands, looking to get an early advantage John once again pushes Matt off who again, rolls back to his feet and charges a third time, though this time he runs right into the big boot of John Roberts! Matt falls flat on his back and rolls under the bottom rope to take a breather already. Nick Webb: Aggressive start by Matt Stone, but so far, it's not going the way he wanted it to. Rayne: How do you know what he was trying to accomplish? Nick Webb: Good point. Katrina, was Matt trying to get his face kicked in? Katrina Evans: I doubt it… Rayne: Well, I stand corrected. Matt starts walking around the ring shaking his head, trying to get the sting of John’s boot out of his face. Roberts sees this as an opportunity to keep his offense up, reaching over the rope and grabbing Stone’s head, pulling him all the way up on the apron! Matt fires off a right hand, but it’s blocked and John uses his strength to lift Stone over the ropes and to the mat, back first. John stomps Matt a few times as Stone tries to get back to his feet. Roberts catches the Straight Shooter with a knee lift as he comes up, doubling Stone over before catching him with a deep throat uppercut that sends Stone backwards into the turnbuckle. Roberts, moving faster than a man of his size has any right to, starts hammering rights and lefts into the ribs of the Abominable Showman, the referee having no recourse other than to just watch as there is no disqualification. John suddenly hits Matt with a reverse elbow to the side of his head, causing Stone to slump in the corner, dazed. John takes a few steps back before charging in, driving his knee into Matt’s head! Stone falls all the way down to a horizontal base and rolls out of the ring again, holding his head, again. Katrina Evans: Stop fooling around, Matt, and get back in there! Nick Webb: Fooling around? It looks like John Roberts’ strength might be a little too much for Matt. Katrina Evans: Oh? Is that what it looks like, Nick? Thanks! Rayne: Show some respect to our guest, Nick. That condescension is uncalled for. Katrina Evans: Huh? What does this have to do with water? This time, John leaves the ring after Matt, who is lying flat on his back on the outside. Roberts starts lifting Stone up to his feet, but Matt, thinking quickly, grabs John’s pants and pulls him forward, falling back in the process and propelling John right into the steel ring post! We can hear the sound of the flesh on metal as John is slumped against the ring post, his hand covering his face where the impact was. Stone staggers to his feet, looking over at his handiwork, but he doesn't have time to gloat as John has recovered and starts walking towards Matt. Stone backs off and hops over the barricade, luring Roberts to follow, which he does without compunction. Nick Webb: John isn’t letting up here. He said he wants to hurt Matt and there’s no better place than out amongst our great fans here in Houston! Rayne: You’re such a suck up, Nick! With John stepping over the barricade, Matt dashes towards him and starts hammering on his torso, but he’s pushed back rather easily by the monster of a man, John Roberts. About five rows in, Stone shoves a man back and grabs his folding chair, folding it up and swinging it at Roberts, who manages to turn and take the brunt of the force on his back, knocking him down to a knee. Matt swings the chair down hard and we hear the crack as the steel connects with Roberts’ skull! Roberts is down on the ground to a chorus of boos as Stone swings the chair one more time down across the man’s back. With a smirk on his face, Matt reaches down to his right boot and pulls out something, a black marker. He takes the cap off and signs his name across the back of the chair, tossing it back to where he originally got it. He gets down and rolls Roberts over for a cover. The referee, who is still ring-‐side of the barricade, starts slamming his hand against the barricade as he counts. 1! 2! Kickout! Rayne: First near-‐fall of the match belongs to Matt Stone. Katrina Evans: Shame, I was hoping that was it… Rayne: Is it because Nick keeps looking at you? Nick Webb: Rayne! Matt doesn't seem annoyed with the kick out and instead starts to lift John up to his feet, who isn’t too thrilled with the contact and hammers Stone right in the face, causing the Straight Shooter to back up dazed. Roberts starts approaching Matt who backs off even more, turning and heading down behind the rows of fans, heading towards the stage with John hustling to catch up to him. Nick Webb: Is Matt afraid of John? Katrina Evans: Afraid? N-‐no, he’s just getting in some cardio! With Stone now getting to the stage, he starts climbing up from the ground, but his right leg is grabbed and pulled down by John, who immediately spears Stone into the steel grating! Matt starts coughing and holding his ribs, but he doesn’t have time to feel the pain as he’s lifted up high in the air by John Roberts, who has Stone in a Gorilla Press and tosses him forward onto the stage! The crowd cheers as Stone rolls away, holding his back and head. John walks around to the ramp and gets up on it, walking up to meet Stone who is now starting to get up. Matt, sensing that the pain is coming, decides to take matters into his own hands and rushes John, but he’s caught with a big boot, snapping back on the ramp. John leaps in the air and comes down with a huge leg drop across the neck of the Abominable Showman and he hooks his leg for the cover on the ramp. 1! 2! Kickout! Katrina Evans: Oh, phew! Nick Webb: Thought that was it? Katrina Evans: Huh? No no... just, uh... allergies. Yeah, that’s it. Rayne: Well, bless you. Nick Webb: Wow. Well, John Roberts looks to be in control here now. John picks up Stone off the ramp and connects with a deep knee lift before hooking Matt’s arms behind his body and lifting him straight up into the air, dropping him down with a Full Nelson Slam! The crowd cheers as Stone’s body bounces off the steel ramp. Rather than go for a cover this time, John seems more interested in hurting Matt as he starts kicking his midsection. Stone starts fighting to his feet, but he’s unable to create any separation from Roberts who reaches out with a stiff right hand, backing Stone down the ramp towards the ring. With Matt’s back to the apron, John approaches and gets caught with a quick rake to the eyes. Stone rushes towards the steel post in an attempt to ram John’s head into the steel, but John puts the brakes on and it’s Matt who eats the steel! The crowd cheers for Stone getting the steel, and as the camera comes over to see the result, we see that Stone is bleeding from his head. Nick Webb: Matt Stone got busted open on that one! The blood is really pouring out! Rayne: Have a heart, Nick! Stone is holding his face, rolling around on the ground in pain, but still tries to get to his feet, looking to try and mount a comeback, but he’s grabbed by John and ran backwards, back first into the ring apron. Matt is then lifted off his feet and rolled inside the ring, John getting up on the apron and entering the ring as well. Stone again starts getting up, almost relentless in his pursuit, but he doesn’t react fast enough to avoid another deep knee lift. John capitalizes on this and lifts Matt up, beginning to execute his Bitten Hard (Three Vertical Backbreakers; last one is where he throws opponent over his head). After connecting with two of the vertical backbreakers, the crowd is psyched to see the final blow delivered to Stone; however Matt quickly shifts his body and places his knee into John’s head, pulling him all the way down to the mat with the C-‐c-‐c-‐c-‐combo Breaker (Codebreaker)! Katrina Evans: Yes! Nick Webb: Matt Stone counters with his patented Combo Breaker -‐ but can he capitalize? Rayne: With all that blood down his face, it’s a wonder how Matt was able to see anything! Both John Roberts and Matt Stone are lying on their back after the impact of the move, Stone in too much pain at the moment to capitalize on his finisher. John is dazed from the move noticeably and is down, possibly for the count of Stone could make the cover but he isn't moving either. The referee doesn't know what to do, there being no count outs in this match, but thankfully there isn't too much of a lull as Matt starts getting up, rolling to his knee at first, glancing over at John. He decides not to go for a cover, and that proves to be a wise move as John starts getting up here as well. With Matt to his feet, he screams out -‐ Matt Stone: KNEEL BEFORE ZOD! Stone swings his right foot and connects with the back of Roberts’ head, a feat made easier as The Scarfaced Snake is on his knees still. Matt now decides to go for a cover, hooking John’s outside leg… 1! 2! Kickout! Nick Webb: John Roberts still has some fight left in him! Rayne: True, but the Straight Shooter will be looking to end this quickly; the blood loss will be draining. Katrina Evans: He needs to get finish this so I can look after him! Matt calls for John to get up, but doesn’t actually allowed him to as Matt hooks John’s head from behind and locks in his submission finisher, the Set in Stone (Katahajime)! The crowd doesn’t know how to react as Matt cinches in the hold deeply, pulling back trying to choke out his opponent. A close up of the camera shows a smug look on Matt’s face as he pulls back, but John isn’t ready to give up quite yet, and he quickly gets up to his feet and rushes backwards, trapping Stone between his large body and the corner turnbuckle. Roberts then quickly spins around and jumps up, falling backwards and landing straight on Stone! Nick Webb: That’s one way to get out of the Set in Stone! Rayne: Probably the most offense-‐centric one. John is to his feet first, a little woozy from the hold, but nevertheless he’s to his feet first, Stone is winded from the fall as well as wiping blood from his face. Roberts bends down and lifts Matt up to his feet straight away, showing an impressive feat of strength, but he doesn’t realize that Stone’s a prick and just leans his leg back and swings it full force right between his legs! The crowd collectively gasps as we hear Katrina giggle on commentary; Stone setting John up for a second C-‐c-‐c-‐c-‐combo Breaker! Matt shakes his head clear and scrambles over, making the cover on John, barely having enough strength to raise his right leg for the cover. 1! 2! 3! DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... MATT STONE!!! Katrina Evans: Yes! I knew Matt would win! Excellent! We hear Katrina taking the headset off and going to meet up with Matt, who has rolled out of the ring, holding his head. Katrina checks on him, holding him up as they walk around the ring, heading for the stage with Stone’s theme, "Whoa is Me” playing over the BlazenTron. Nick Webb: Impressive win here for Matt Stone, ending the undefeated streak of John Roberts. Stone moves to 2-‐0 at WrestleFest, following his impressive Hell in a Cell victory two years ago over Finale for the then-‐
United States Title. Rayne: I'd say he more than made up for what went down at Legacy X here tonight. Personally, I hope Matt sticks around... and we get to see more of Katrina as well! N-‐Side Out In a part of the arena we see Gabe Shelley walking around and talking to a few of the backstage hands and workers. Shelley turns the corner and standing there is Outlaw. He’s holding the Havok World Championship by the plates and holds it up. Outlaw starts to smile before putting it over his shoulder. Gabe Shelley Am I supposed to be impressed or something? Outlaw smirks and pats the championship as he gets closer to Shelley. He looks around to see a few people watching them. Outlaw: I just figured that you’d like seeing the championship with me. After all, a member of the N-‐SiderZ holding the BWF World Championship is a big deal to you. It was your dream that we’d all run the BWF. You, me, the rest of the gang. Now there’s just me, Gabe. Now I’m the one that’s standing at the top of the company you love. The two men stare each other down before Outlaw speaks again. Outlaw: Must drive you crazy. Gabe Shelley starts to smile and taps the title with his finger. Gabe Shelley If you think you’re half the champion I was then you’re crazy. Outlaw: I’m twice the champion you were! Outlaw gets in Shelley’s face and screams at him as the two stand toe to toe. Outlaw: I put you down at Legacy X and you should have stayed down, Gabe. After tonight I will continue to be the very best in this company and far better than you ever were. You’ll go back to being unimportant and irrelevant. It’s time for you to see who the best out of our little group is. It’s at this time the two men are pulled apart by security. Shelley laughing and Outlaw all worked up. Gabe Shelley Temper, temper. Wouldn’t want you thinking about me during your big title match. You might get distracted, bud. We’ll see who has the better night once this is all said and done. Outlaw pulls away from the security as he walks past Shelley and knocks him aside. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: The following No Holds Barred Match is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first, he hails from Washington, D.C.... weighing in at 200 pounds... he is the Sadistic Sex Symbol... JOHNNY MAVERICK!!! The harmonica driven opening of "D.C. Sound Attack!" by Clutch plays throughout the arena and "The Sadistic Sex Symbol" Johnny Maverick emerges, smiling widely as 'The Objects', a pair of gorgeous, busty women follow behind him. 'The optics of it are not important. The public don't give a damn. I see you're in need of consultation now. Everybody needs a sinister hand.' Johnny walks down the ramp and waves and smacks hands with members of the audience as he makes his way to the ring. 'Naturally no sympathizer. I'm a war monger, baby. Gonna industrialize ya. Trouble I love. Peace I do despise. I'm a war monger, baby. I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you!' Johnny hops onto the apron and holds the rope so the two lovely redheads may enter the ring. Johnny climbs in after them. 'No, no, no, I've never worn no uniform. Except for the ballroom blitz. There's no need for conversation here. I prefer the dimmest intelligence.' The two ladies open their handbags and each pull out a black and red MMA glove. Johnny extends his hands and they each put a glove on him. One of them hands Johnny's mouthguard to the other who places it in Johnny's mouth. Both women turn to leave the ring but Johnny stops them and points to both of his cheeks. The ladies giggle and simultaneously give him a kiss on the cheek before they step out of the ring. 'Naturally no sympathizer. I'm a war monger, baby. Gonna industrialize ya. Trouble I love. Peace I do despise. You're a war monger, baby. And you know you can't deny.' Johnny throws a few test kicks and punches as he awaits the arrival of his opponent. Nick Webb: Johnny Maverick looks ready to go to war here tonight Rayne, especially after the way his opponent returned on the last edition of Havok. Rayne: He’ll have to be ready for war. Brian Cade is a monster, Nick, and you know he’s going to bring it here at WrestleFest! Scott Benjamin: And his opponent... he hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania... weighing in at 280 pounds... BRIAN CADE!!! The arena erupts with an explosion of pyrotechnics as "Forever Down" by Black Label Society starts playing over the BlazenTron. Brian Cade walks out, sporting a hoodie over his head, as well as a sledge hammer resting on his right shoulder. Cade paces around the stage, staring at the floor. He slowly makes his way down to the ring. Brian props his hammer against the steel steps before making his way into the ring. DING! Johnny and Brian circle each other in the center of the ring, both getting the grasp of their opponent. Lockup, but Johnny ducks under the arm to wrap Brian up from behind. Johnny knees Brian's knee from behind sending him on one knee. Johnny leaps up into the air, driving both knees into the back of Brian, but Cade rolls to the left and out of the way. Johnny comes crashing back down, but Brian is back up already. Johnny kips up to his feet, Brian sends him down with a clothesline. Brian lifts Johnny up to his feet. Maverick slams double fists into Brian's ribs stopping him mid punch. Brian winces, but only slightly, Johnny doesn't stop there, he kicks Brian in the inner thigh before spinning around delivering a kick to the back of Brian's knees. Johnny off the ropes, springing to the middle, sending Brian down with a tornado DDT. Nick Webb: Both men feeling each other out for now, Johnny getting the upper hand off that DDT. Rayne: Cade is a tough matchup for the best in the business, Nick. It’ll take a lot more than that to keep him down. Johnny pulls Brian up, chop to the chest. Another chop, a third. Johnny with a fourth, but Brian catches the wrist, twisting and turning until he is to the side of Johnny. Kick to the ribs, another, and a third as Brian holds Maverick in a wristlock. Brian runs up the corner flipping back over Maverick which causes Maverick to twist and flip and land on his back in the corner. Brian climbs back up to his feet. Brian stomps down on Johnny's face before slamming a knee down onto Johnny's throat! Brian is holding the knee there and Maverick is beginning to turn a shade of red that may not be so healthy for his person. Brian gets up, allowing Johnny a breath of air, before slamming the knee back down to cut off his air supply again. Johnny manages to throw a weak punch, but as it lands near Brian's jewels, he releases the the knee choke, choosing to deliver more damage. Brian lifts Johnny up onto his shoulders in a fireman's carry, Johnny still trying to catch his breath. Brian runs forward, but doesn't go anywhere as Johnny has one arm and a leg hooked over the top rope. Johnny applies all of his weight sending Brian over the top rope. Johnny falls to the apron before rolling back inside of the ring. Rayne: Brian Cade got a little too aggressive there and left himself open for the counter from Johnny. Nick Webb: Just another example of these men not holding back here tonight, a theme we’ve seen over and over again and I'm sure will see some more of before WrestleFest comes to a close. Johnny gasping hits the ropes before rebounding. Johnny grabs the top rope sending himself over the top with a shove and a loud war cry! Johnny lands on the rising, Cade sending him back first into the railing. Johnny pounds away with fists of rage before standing back up and delivering a spinning heel kick to the side of Brian's skull. Brian lays on his side as Johnny goes digging under the ring for some weapons. Johnny pulls out a table, a coil of barbed wire, some handcuffs, a generic bag that looks to have tacks in it, and a... Singapore cane! Johnny turns around, gleam in his eyes and a smile on his face. Brian looks up, Singapore cane to the face rocks him to the side. Brian over onto his knees trying to shove himself up onto his feet. Johnny golfs the cane into Brian's ribs once, twice, three, and a fourth time until the cane breaks. Johnny stands back at the apron, lifting it to pull out a twenty foot ladder! Rayne: A ladder? What’s that for? Nick Webb: Excitement, I imagine. No one likes to entertain these people more than Johnny Maverick! The crowd goes wild, they love them some ladder, it always means violence and big time high risk moves! Johnny pulls it out from the confines of the ring, laying it across the ring apron to the railing. Johnny walks over to Cade pulling him... Brian with a punch to the thigh of Maverick before walking up his legs and slamming both feet into Johnny's face sending him back first into the ring post. Brian flips on over to the other side of the railing before springing to the top of the railing. Brian leaps out as Johnny stumbles forward. Brian catches the back of Johnny's neck on his shoulder. Brian catches his breath, rolling up to his knees then feet as he looks down at Maverick on the ground. Brian with a well-‐placed stomp right onto his face for good measure. Brian asks the seat from a fan wearing a Brian Cade t-‐shirt, the fan obliges graciously. Brian brings the weapon back, Johnny is trying to sit up. Rayne: It seems the people here in Houston are keen on giving up their seats here tonight. Nick Webb: Our wonderful audience love to get involved any time they can, Rayne. Johnny's face is crushed by the chair, causing him to lay back down on the floor. Brian tosses the chair into the ring before lifting Johnny up and rolling him into the squared circle. Brian throws Maverick into the corner, running in with a jumping knee strike to the face and Johnny falls out of the corner. Brian springing off the ropes with a flying bulldog sending Johnny's face right into the chair. Brian rolls over pinning Johnny. 1! 2! Thr-‐kickout! Johnny gets a shoulder up, he isn't going to be beaten that easily. Nick Webb: Even Brian Cade taking some risks here tonight, driving Johnny’s face right into that steel chair -‐ and it nearly pays off with a big win! Brian isn't really shocked, so he pulls Johnny back up. Irish into the ropes, Johnny rebounds. Brian with a big boot into the face sends Johnny back into the ropes. Brian with a clothesline, but Maverick with a duck and a lift sends Brian over the top onto the ladder! Johnny wipes the sweat from his face, hitting the ropes. Brian lays on the ladder, shaking his head. Johnny comes flying up to the top rope leaping high into the air with a split legged front flip! The ladder doesn't bend at all! Nick Webb: Devastating offense from Johnny Maverick! The move costs Johnny as he rolls off the ladder, holding at his lower back, but Brian may have paid a bit bigger price as he isn't moving at all yet. Johnny stumbles over to the Timekeeper's table, getting the bell from him. Maverick comes back, obviously hurting from the encounter so far. Johnny slams the bell into the ladder as Brian moves just in time. Brian lays on the floor, struggling up to a kneeling position, and nearly failing. Johnny swings the bell. Brian catches the hand of Maverick spinning him back around to face him. Brian leaps up to the ladder, jumping up and bringing a surprised Maverick face first onto the ladder! Maverick is busted open, but Brian isn't far behind as his back is extremely red and looking like the next punch will bust him open. Brian climbs up into the ring, picking up the steel chair. He looks at Maverick, at the chair, at the ropes, and finally back to Maverick; a smile crosses his lips. Brian hits the ropes sending himself into the air with the chair, placing it between himself and his target, Johnny Maverick, executing a perfect flying cross body with the chair! Nick Webb: Oh my god! I’ve never seen Brian Cade do that before! Rayne: It’s like you said, pulling out all the stops here at WrestleFest. Brian rolls the limp form of Maverick into the ring. Brian pulls Maverick to a kneeling position, he slams a knee into the now bloody face of Maverick, but Johnny just smiles. Brian is a bit taken back, but delivers a second knee strike, again Maverick's smile can be seen through the mask of blood. Johnny with a rapid fire punch right to Brian's sack and Cade has no choice but hold himself in obvious pain. Johnny shoves up, off the ropes, flying leg lariat takes Brian down on the canvas. Johnny quickly rolls out of the ring to grab the bag and bring it back into the ring. He dumps the contents into the ring, the thousands upon thousands of glittering sharp objects seem to cover the entire ring. Maverick pulls Brian up to his feet, knee to the gut. Maverick tucks his head under Brian's arm. Maverick lifts Brian back up, knee of his own to Brian's face this time. A second knee before Maverick hits the ropes to slam both of his feet into Brian's face sending him into another area of thumbtacks! Maverick gets back up, a few dozen thumbtacks in his own flesh and now both men are red from the blood they are shedding. Maverick pulls Brian back up, slap to the face, a bitch slap, and then he spins around delivering the bottom of his boot right into Brian's jaw. Maverick is on a roll here and looks out to the crowd, he knows what they want. He knows what he wants, he knows what he is going to get as he slides out of the ring. Nick Webb: Johnny’s pulling out a table, Rayne! What isn’t under the ring? Rayne: A kitchen sink, I hope! The crowd immediately begins the chant of "We want tables!" as he slides it back into the ring. However, he isn't finished as he slides in a second and a third table. Now it seems that there as many tables as thumbtacks in the ring, but come on, let's be real here. Johnny grabs the spool of barbed wire and is back in the ring now. Brian is getting back up to his feet, a running boot to the back of his head causes him to slam face first into the tacks, but none get in his eyes which is a great thing for him. Maverick sets up a table, wrapping it in barbed wire and nearly covering the entire surface in the skin tearing wire. Maverick walks over to Brian, pulling him up. Maverick with a right hand, Brian fights back with a right of his own. Right from Johnny, right from Brian. Right -‐ right -‐ right -‐ right -‐ right -‐ right -‐ right -‐ right -‐ right -‐ right. Brian ducks under the last right from Maverick, lifting him up, facebuster onto the table, but it doesn't break at all. Brian rubs Johnny's face all in the wire bringing more blood from Maverick' body before yanking him off the wire covered table and carrying him over to the turnbuckle where he mounts him in the corner. One! Two! Three! Four! Five! Johnny shoves him off, Brian lands on his feet charging back in. Johnny ducks under the big boot coming in behind Brian who goes on over the corner to the apron. Johnny dives in with a shoulder block, but Brian manages to sidestep the attack. Right from Brian sends Johnny back first into the corner. Brian with a elbow to the face of Maverick rocking his head backwards on his neck. Brian using some stiff karate kicks to the ribs of Maverick softening him up even more. Brian with another series of kicks spins around delivering a boot to Maverick's face causing him to slump in the corner. Brian wants to finish this now he walks over setting up a second table, this one on top of the first. Brian eyes his work with a critical eye, he lays a chair on top of the first one before sliding out of the ring to grab a few other chairs. He tosses them into the ring, stopping as he slides in to nail Maverick with one to keep him honest in the corner. Brian lays the chairs side by side on the top of the second table, but Brian isn't finished yet. Sliding out of the ring he pulls the ladder and slides it into the ring. Rayne: Look at all the carnage Brian is setting up here Nick! Brian grabs Maverick onto his shoulders in a powerslam position climbing to the top of the ladder. Johnny fights back, but Cade twists a bit slamming Johnny's head into the steel of the ladder. They reach the top of the ladder, but Maverick begins to really fight back now, he slips off Brian's shoulders, slipping down a rung or two before catching Brian around the waist. Nick Webb: GERMAN SUPLEX TO CADE FROM THE TOP OF THE LADDER! OH MY GOD! Bits of table go flying up into the air, thumbtacks from the canvas hop into the air from the impact and all that is seen clearly is the dented chair that both men landed on! The crowd erupts with a “Holy Shit” chant, the referee doesn't know what to do, should he check on the men or let the match go? He looks at the curtain, and then decides to check on the two men. A big piece of table is shoved out of the way as Maverick crawls out of the table wreckage; Brian shoves the dented chair off another piece of table. Maverick tries to roll up to his feet, but loses the energy and slumps to lay on his front, the side of his face on the canvas. Cade is on his hands and knees, but gives a shuddering breath and just falls to nearly an identical position of Mavericks. The referee would normally count here but since this is No Holds Barred, count-‐outs don't matter. Rayne: Johnny hurt himself just as much as he hurt Cade with that move... this match is anybody's to win right now! With both men visibly weak from the horrendous move off the ladder, the crowd starts cheering for the match to continue. Johnny is up before Brian, but not by much. Maverick looks to press his advantage, connecting with a stiff right hand to the jaw of Brian Cade. Getting success on that, Johnny backs up against the ropes and charges at Cade, who just explodes from a standing position and spears Johnny straight down on a pile of thumbtacks! The crowd gasps as Cade covers him, hooking the outside leg. 1! 2! 3! DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... BRIAN CADE!!! "Forever Down" starts playing in the arena as Cade is slow to his feet, glaring out at the crowd who are clapping for the great match. Rayne: A successful return here for Brian Cade, but it wasn’t easy. Johnny could have just as easily won this contest. In the end, it came down to the right move at the right time. Well, right for Cade, anyway. HA! Nick Webb: After that performance, I have to ask you -‐ who can stop Brian Cade? Rayne: I don’t know, Nick. I just don’t know. He could be well on his way right now to his second BWF World Championship reign. Nick Webb: Folks, we'll be right back after this look at BWF's ShopZone! An advertisement for BWF's ShopZone plays (40% off all orders when you use the code WF7!) before we return to the action. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for ONE fall and is a Two-‐on-‐One Handicap Match for both the BWF Sovereign and International Championships! If the challenger is able to secure a pinfall or submission on either member Champion, she will win the match and both Championships! The sound of a Japanese flute starts out playing quietly over the loudspeakers and the lights go down. The BlazenTron comes up and we see two armies standing face to face on a battlefield. The flute continues playing and the camera on the BlazenTron gets closer to the two armies. The camera cuts scene... Scott Benjamin: Introducing first, the challenger... she hails from San Francisco, California... weighing in tonight at 115 pounds... VESPERTINE!!! The camera cuts back to a scene of two armies. The Japanese flute plays louder. Both armies are huge and they are an army of shogun, ronin, and samurai. As the army walks forward a single figure comes into view and emerges from the line. The figure raises their sword and as one the entire army stops. The figure runs forward and gets atop a boulder to look out. The camera goes over their shoulder and we see the other army standing as a wall in the distance. The figure/leader takes off their helmet and long black hair tumbles out from it and flows all around, sometimes waving and weaving in places where the wind catches it. The figure turns and looks at the army behind them and we see it is Vespertine. She raises her sword and roars in fury. Camera cuts scene and the Japanese flute stops. The camera cuts back to scene of her army raising their own swords and shouting in fury. The camera pans back quickly and she does the motion of "forward" with her sword and the camera goes up and we see her entire army run forward to join in the fray below. The song "Diamond Eyes" by Shinedown starts up and then goes straight into the song. Suddenly, the spotlights in the arena come up and we see a lone figure standing at the top of the ramp. One arm is raised and we see it is Vespertine and she is standing facing the entrance curtains. She spins around rather quickly and at the end of the turn she points at the audience where upon a couple of pyros go off on each side of her. She stands at the top of the ramp looking around at the audience. Then, suddenly, she reaches her hands out to them as if to encompass their souls and fire pillar pyros go off behind her. She saunters on down to the ring, stepping in time to the music. She wears black wrestling shorts, a black wrestling sports top with purple sequins which reveals her midriff and abs, black wrestling boots, her black trenchcoat duster and black sunglasses. She slides in underneath the ropes, takes off her sunglasses and looks around at various spots with a feral like look in her eyes and slightly licking her lips. We see she has heavy glitter around her eyes and a heavy dark turquoise black (or other color) eyeliner. She crawls seductively like a cat to the other side of the ring and then suddenly jumps up and spreads her arms out and lands in a "V" like pattern where upon at each corner of the ring, showers of sparks come flying out. She looks around, still with the feral look in her eyes, and takes off her trenchcoat duster and gives it to a person outside the ring and goes to sit on the turnbuckle facing the ring entrance until the match starts. Nick Webb: This match was originally scheduled to be a tag team match for both titles, pitting Vespertine and Elizabeth Davis against Cooper and Scott. However, Davis suffered a minor injury on the last Havok and had to be pulled from the match at the last minute, leaving Vespertine to go it alone. Rayne: She's got a long, tall mountain to climb tonight, Nick, but if she can pull it off? She'll become BWF's hottest prospect in one single night! She'll also make history; the first person in BWF history to win two active singles titles in one match! Scott Benjamin: And, introducing her opponents... first, she is the current and reigning BWF Sovereign Champion and one half of the BWF Tag Team Champions... she hails from Billings, Montana... weighing in tonight at 140 pounds... ZOE COOPER!!! "Emergency" by Paramore starts playing over the BlazenTron in the arena. Zoe Cooper walks out to the ring, smiling and waving at the fans as she holds her Sovereign and Tag Team Titles in the air. She walks up the steps and enters over the bottom rope, and then stretches in the middle of the ring until the song stops playing. Nick Webb: Zoe Cooper was already victorious once tonight, successfully teaming with her Championship partner, Elena Simonova, to retain their BWF Tag Titles against the Sisters Gardevoir. Right now, she's teaming with a completely different partner with a completely different title of hers on the line. Rayne: Vespertine isn't the only one who can make history here tonight. If Zoe's team wins this match, I believe she'll become the first person in BWF history to retain two Championships at one WrestleFest event! Scott Benjamin: And her tag team partner... he is the current and reigning BWF International Champion... he hails from Killeen, Texas... weighing in at 233 pounds... AUSTIN SCOTT!!! "Kick It in the Sticks" by Brantley Gilbert hits the BlazenTron and Austin Scott walks out onto the stage, pumping his fist in the air as he shows off the BWF International Championship around his waist. He walks down to the ring, high fiving a few fans in attendance, before sliding into the ring and awaiting the start of the match as his music fades. Nick Webb: Austin Scott won the International Title in only his second match with the company, defeating Vespertine, Apollo Nighthawk and Ursula Areano at Retribution in September. Since then, like Zoe Cooper, Scott has remained an undefeated Champion. And, like Zoe Cooper, he has the chance to make his mark at the BWF's marquee event right here tonight. Rayne: And what a crowd to do it in front of! Listen to the roar of that Texas crowd, welcoming home their own! Austin Scott's just three hours and change from home, and you bet your ass he's got hometown proud fans in those stands tonight! DING! Vespertine starts out with Cooper. Both women circle each other. Zoe sticks her hand out to shake Vespertine's hand. Vespertine smirks at her and then looks at the audience. She then looks back at Zoe and takes her hand. They break and Vespertine takes the opportunity to slap her across the face. Zoe has the look of "what was that for." Vespertine looks innocently at her and shrugs. She then gives the sign of two fingers "I see you". Zoe looks bemusedly at her and then at the audience. Vespertine takes this opportunity to charge and do a step up enziguri. Zoe falls face first down on the mat but she quickly tries to get up but not before Vespertine grabs her hair, drags her up, snapmares her over and puts on a chin lock. Austin suddenly gets in, charges and clubs her over the back. The referee tells him to get out. Nick Webb: Austin doesn't want to lose this match, but he has to control his emotions or he could cost both himself and Zoe their titles! Zoe is quick to her feet. She grabs Vespertine by the hand and Irish whips her towards the ropes. On the rebound, Zoe executes a wicked Spinning Heel kick. Vespertine goes down hard. Zoe goes over and puts her in a One Legged Boston Crab. She isn't heavy enough as Vespertine slowly makes her way to the bottom ropes and latches on. The referee tells Zoe to get off. Zoe goes up to Vespertine and uncharacteristically, she slaps Vespertine across the face. Rayne: Oh ho! NICE! Vespertine getting the receipt for her slap to the Sovereign Champion! Zoe Cooper may be friendly, but she isn't going to take crap from anybody... that's gotta be that mentoring with Simonova shining through! Vespertine turns her head and holds her face. When she looks back, daggers are in her eyes. She looks at Zoe who only shrugs innocently. Vespertine charges to try a clothesline but Zoe goes backwards in a Matrix/Melina type move. Vespertine turns around quickly and tries again but Zoe does it again. Figuring she could get a good shot in, she dropkicks Austin who falls to the floor below. The referee gets in Vespertine's face and admonishes her. Nick Webb: Vespertine needs to be careful just as much as Austin does. If she gets herself DQ'ed, she goes home with nothing. Vespertine pushes the referee out of the way to go after Zoe but Zoe sees her coming and charges. Vespertine ducks and turns quickly around and on Zoe's rebound, she sidesteps again and catches her in a sleeperhold. She then tries to maneuver Zoe into a standing neckbreaker but Zoe out muscles her and turns her around and executes an Unprettier on her. Zoe is the first to get up. She looks down, sees Vespertine isn't moving and then goes to hook the leg. 1! 2! Kickout! At the two and a half count, Vespertine gets a shoulder up. Rayne: Nice counter from Zoe there, but it's not enough to keep Vespertine down for long. Zoe gets on her knees and looks around. She gets up, picks Vespertine up, drags her over to her corner and tags in Austin who is fresh. Austin grabs Vespertine and pins her arms behind her while Zoe punches her in the face and stomach. When she is done at the referee's count of 4, Austin lets go and Vespertine staggers forwards and falls against the ropes. Austin goes over to her untangles her from the ropes, turns her around and attempts a German Suplex but she grabs the ropes at the last second which causes him to twist his arm in such a way, he has to let go and massage. She back kicks and catches him in the groin. He doubles over in pain. She runs the ropes and on the rebound executes a perfect Cartwheel Bomb into a pin. 1! Kickout! Since Austin is fresh, he kicks out at one and a half. Nick Webb: Nice move, but nowhere close to being a match ender. She looks around and then quickly runs to the nearest corner to climb up and wait for him. He gets up and looks around for her and when he sees her, she flies and performs a hurricanrana and he ends up across the ring. Both of them are up at the same time. Vespertine sees her chance and charges Austin, but he sees her coming and executes a clothesline from hell and she flips in midair and goes down hard. He raises his hand and the crowd cheers in unison at him. Rayne: Austin Scott, making Texas proud! He goes over to her and tries to pick her up but she suddenly puts him in a schoolboy rollup pin. The referee starts the three count. 1! 2! Kickout! At 2 and a quarter, Austin kicks out. Nick Webb: Austin took his eye off the prize for just a moment and it nearly cost himself and his tag team partner everything! Watch those rookie mistakes, kid! She struggles to get up but he wastes no time in getting up. He grabs her by the hand and Irish whips her towards the corner post. He then backs up and charges and attempts a high Goin' Muddin' but before he can connect, she slips out of the way and his knee connects with the turnbuckle. She turns around and elbows him in the small of the back a few times before he finally untangles himself from the turnbuckle. He lays in the corner stunned rubbing his knee. She backs up and charges him and executes a low dropkick to the chest. Rayne: Scott isn't able to move in time and Vespertine scores with a big dropkick! She follows up by picking him up and Irish whipping him towards the ropes but he reverses it and again tries a clothesline but Vespertine ducks and rolls under it. He then runs the ropes and rebounds on the reverse side and as she is coming Austin attempts a spear. She sees it coming but can't sidestep so jumps at the last second, he goes under and she goes flying over him ending up in a somersault roll behind him. Austin straightens up and rebounds off the ropes and charges her again attempting a clothesline but she ducks and pulls down the ropes and he goes over and to the arena floor below. Vespertine lies on her back a few seconds catching her breath. Nick Webb: Vespertine gets a breather after a rough back and forth with the International Champion. Vespertine gets up and sees Austin doing the same, so she climbs to the nearest corner, turns her body and flies backwards. For a moment time seems to stand still as she jumps up and out and then all eyes are on her as she starts her downward descent which she turns into a 670 Senton and lands on him and they both go crashing to the floor below. The crowd cheers out of amazement and starts chanting "holy shit"! Rayne: What a move! Did you see that?! Nick Webb: I know Austin did -‐ or at least he felt it! Both wrestlers are out for a few moments as Zoe gets into the ring and looks on. The referee holds her back but she puts her arms up as if to show she is going to do anything. Finally Austin stirs and rolls over. Vespertine follows suit and as the referee is up to the 8 count, both realize they are being counted out so Austin runs into the ring and Vespertine follows him. He turns around and stomps on Vespertine's head a few times as she slides in, then grabs her and locks in the Lock Em Up (Rings of Saturn). He tries to move to the center of the ring but she suddenly reaches out and grabs a hold of the rope. The referee forces him to relinquish the hold and he does so. Rayne: This match might have been over if Scott got that hold in the center of the ring! Right now, I think he needs to be thinking about a tag. You're in a Handicap Match, Austin; take advantage of it! Nick Webb: It almost seems like Austin's been trying to avoid tagging Zoe in. Maybe he wants to prove he can win this match on his own? Rayne: Or maybe Austin wants some of that you-‐know-‐what and he's killing himself trying to impress the Sovereign Champ! Nick Webb: Rayne! Vespertine struggles to up and before Austin can get his arms up to defend himself, she charges and executes a dropkick to the chin. He stumbles backwards into the ropes which propel him forward and he goes rebounding off the ropes and performs a flying shoulder block. She goes down hard. She gets back up and sees he is going to do the same thing so she drops again and he goes running over. She jumps up and runs towards the ropes, rebounds and catches him with a hurricanrana which sends Austin flying towards the corner. Unfortunately, it's the wrong corner, and as Austin tumbles into it, he reaches out and tags in Zoe. Vespertine sees this and groans in exhaustion. Rayne: That may have been a mistake on Vespertine's part. She suddenly charges out and attempts a spear catching Zoe in the midsection when she got close enough. Both women lay back on the mat panting. Vespertine is the first to get up. She looks around before climbing to the top rope. As Zoe is getting up, Vespertine performs a Whisper in the Wind, her leg catching Zoe's head. She then covers Zoe. 1! 2! Kickout! At the two and a half, Zoe kicks out. Vespertine gets on her knees, blows a piece of hair out of her face and looks around. She then goes over to the corner post and climbs up. Just before she attempts her move, Zoe kips up, runs to that same corner, jumps up and does a huge roundhouse kick to the side of Vespertine's head which causes her to lose her hold and dangle precariously on the ring post. She is wobbling. Zoe sees this and goes up, puts Vespertine's arm around her neck and tries to lift for a suplex. But Vespertine grabs a hold of the top rope and won't let go. Zoe unhooks her trunks and punches Vespertine in the stomach. In a whirl of motion, Vespertine punches Zoe and then pushes her causing her to fall back into the ring. Vespertine stands up and looks about to fly but before she can do so, Austin comes over and pulls on her leg causing her to fall. The referee orders him to go back to his corner. Zoe is quick to get up and executes a perfect Roundabout (Spinning Heel Kick) and Vespertine goes flying into the ring! Zoe leans against the ropes and raises her hand in the air, eliciting cheers from the crowd! Nick Webb: I think Zoe's ready to end this! As Vespertine struggles to recover, Zoe moves over to her corner and tags Austin back into the match. She leans into the ropes and whispers something which seems to get a big grin from the International Champion. Austin begins scaling the corner as Zoe picks up Vespertine and hoists her onto her shoulders. She moves over to the corner and Austin launches himself off, hitting Vespertine with a massive clothesline that takes her off of Zoe's shoulders and turns her inside out! Rayne: The Doomsday Device! A CLASSIC maneuver! Road Warriors, baby! Zoe leans back into the ropes and Austin drops to hook Vespertine's legs as the referee starts counting. 1! 2! 3! DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here are your winners... and STILL Sovereign and International Champions... ZOE COOPER AND AUSTIN SCOTT!!! "Kick It in the Sticks" by Brantley Gilbert hits the BlazenTron as Austin starts to stand up, only to be tackled back down to the mat by his partner in a giant hug! Zoe quickly realizes what she's doing and composes herself, blushing a little as the referee hands Zoe her Sovereign and Tag titles. Austin stands up, grinning from ear to ear as he is handed his own International Title. The referee raises both Zoe and Austin's hands as the Texas crowd cheers loudly. Nick Webb: Austin Scott is successful in his return to Texas -‐ and Zoe Cooper goes 2 for 2 at tonight's event! Wonder if Zoe's Championship partner can pull off the same feat? Rayne: We'll find out later in the evening for sure! For now, though, it's all about Zoe and Austin! What a match! Coming Soon on Pay-‐Per-‐View DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for ONE fall and is for complete control of the BWF! Introducing first, being accompanied by David Blazenwing... he hails from Skymont, Tennessee... he is the PWNstar… CASEY CAMPBELL!!! The lights go out as cameras start to flash. The bridge from “Berzerk” by Eminem begins to play and loops through twice as a spotlight shines down to the center of the stage. Now this shit's about to kick off, this party looks wack Let's take it back to straight hip-‐hop and start it from scratch The lights have come up and purple smoke starts to fill the stage. An arrangement of fireworks go off near the entrance as a hulking silhouette is shown and coming from the smoke is Casey Campbell ready for action. He stands at the top of the stage and looks over towards the side stage and flexes for all to see and all that see are mainly booing the PWNStar. A few women in the crowd can be heard screaming for Campbell. As Campbell stands on the stage we see David Blazenwing walk out to stand behind him clapping. We're gonna rock this house until we knock it down So turn the volume loud, cause it's mayhem 'til the a.m. Nick Webb: And here comes Casey Campbell and Dave Blazenwing. There was already so much on the line in this match, but after Jen Corlen’s announcement earlier, it’s been kicked up a notch. This match is not only to be the sole General Manager, but it is for complete control of the BWF. Rayne: It’s history in the making, Nick! Campbell takes his time walking down the ring and makes sure to pose in front of a camera placed near the fans on the ramp. Blazenwing walks past him and around the ring to a chair set up for him. Campbell slides into the ring and gets set. Ain't slowin' down, throw in the towel, t-‐t-‐towel towel Dumb it down, I don't know how, how, how, how At least I know that I don't know Question is are you bozos smart enough to feel stupid Casey flexes in the middle of the ring as the music begins to die down. The lights slowly dim down until it's pitch black and the low guitar strumming of "In Fate's Hands" by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus rolls throughout the arena. Three spotlights shine and revolve around as if searching for someone, and the fans are on their feet, cheering in anticipation for the hero they know is coming. At the nine second mark the song rocks into life with a loud “GO!” as red, white and blue pyros shoot outward with controlled chaos from the entrance stage for seven straight seconds. By the end of it, the three spotlights have aimed at the stage and await the arrival of a great fan favorite. I remember a year ago I was standing in the crowd Waiting for my chance to break through My chance to live again At last Gabe Shelley comes running out to the stage with energy and pounds his chest in excitement to the roar of the crowd. He finally steps into the spotlight and peeks out from under his hooded vest with a high smile on his face. He walks around the top of the stage and points out to the fans before making his way to the ramp. Scott Benjamin: And his opponent, being accompanied by Emily Corlen... he hails from New York City... he is the marVel... GABE SHELLEY!!! Nick Webb: The fans here in BWF are always excited to see Gabe Shelley! Shake it! Break it! Get off your feet! Come dance with me and don't you fake it Shake it! Break it! Get off your feet! Come dance with me and don't you fake it The fans are positively crazy about Gabe. He makes his way down the ramp and stops halfway before falling to his knees. He looks around one more time from his hood before throwing it back off his head as a fountain of pyro falls from the top of the stage behind him. He pats his chest as a quite pregnant Emily Corlen walks through the pyro with a big smile. She starts to make her way down the ramp as Shelley has not reached the apron and jumps into the ring. Gabe picks a corner and easily jumps to the second ropes and bows down. He points outwards to the crowd as he jumps backwards, spinning and landing on his feet. He draws to the center of the ring and throws his hands out; the crowd's roar of cheers only grow louder and flashes from cameras capture photos of the Hall of Famer in all his glory. Emily Corlen has made her way to the bottom of the ramp and has a chair set up for her opposite of the side Dave Blazenwing. DING! The bell sounds as the fans are on their feet for the start of the match as Gabe Shelley and Casey Campbell circle the ring a couple times before meeting in the center. Rayne: Gabe was a star at the last WrestleFest in 2011 where he became the only three time BWF World Champion in the company’s history after defeating Champion Emily Corlen, just moments after she beat him for that same title. Now, he could help her win control of the entire BWF! Nick Webb: Hashtag 'wrestling'. Campbell and Shelley share a few words and each look out towards the people they’re representing and to their opponent's reps as well before turning back to each other. Shelley draws his hand back and comes swinging in hard as Campbell readies himself. Shelley stops and pokes Campbell in the chest as Casey looks confused. He looks down to his chest and back up and Shelley has come off the ropes with a big heel kick as the fans roar. Both men pop to their feet and start to exchange lefts and rights before Campbell overpowers Shelley and tackles him into the corner. Campbell starts to throw knees into the gut of Shelley as Blazenwing smiles on the outside of the ring. Campbell pulls Shelley out to the center of the ring by his arm and drops him with a clothesline. Nick Webb: Casey Campbell with the early advantage as he’s just overpowering Gabe Shelley with hard shots. Shelley pulls himself to his feet and ducks another clothesline and connects with a few shots of his own as Campbell turns around. He connects with a kick to the gut that doubles Campbell over before lifting him for a suplex. The two men hit the mat and get to their feet. Campbell swings at Shelley who ducks it and floats over with a DDT. They come right back up to their feet and Shelley hits a swinging neckbreaker before getting to his feet. Shelley looks out to Blazenwing and waves in a mocking fashion. Shelley turns back to Campbell who is starting to get to his feet. Shelley approaches and the two men lock up. Campbell tries to overpower Shelley and eventually gets him to a knee but Shelley wraps his arms around the waist of Campbell, stands up, and connects with a northern lights suplex. Shelley bridges for a pin attempt. 1! Campbell kicks out with some authority as he throws his arm off the mat. Shelley rolls to his feet and quickly applies a front face lock on Campbell and keeps him on a knee. Nick Webb: Keep Casey off his feet and he can’t use that power. Shelley drives an elbow into the back of the neck of his opponent and applies the front face lock once again. Campbell wraps his arms around Shelley and stands up and lifts him in the air before driving him into the mat with a spinebuster. Rayne: You were saying? Casey Campbell seems to have an answer for everything Gabe has been able to throw at him so far. Campbell grabs his wrist and calls for the Campbell Clutch (Crouching Cobra Clutch) but Shelley is able slide behind Campbell through his legs as he approaches before locking up him from behind. Shelley tries to hit a German suplex but Campbell locks his leg around Shelley’s to block. He throws an elbow backwards that catches Shelley in the side of the head, causing him to stagger backwards. Campbell spins around and gets taken down with a running neckbreaker. Shelley gets to his feet and slides to the apron of the ring. He grabs the top ropes and springboards, flaps his arms and hits a leg drop onto Campbell (I’m a Bird, Motherfucker). The crowd cheers Shelley on as he rolls to his knees and calls for some cheers and they’re clearly behind him. Shelley pulls Campbell to his feet and tires to lock in a sleeper but Campbell overpowers him and is able to turn around, following it with a kick to the gut. Campbell tries to clothesline him over the ropes but Shelley holds on and only makes it to the apron. Campbell sees Shelley dazed and goes off the far ropes and looks to shoulder block Shelley off the apron but Shelley pulls the top rope down as Campbell goes flying over it and hard onto the floor. Rayne: Campbell out here in front of us and not too far from Blazenwing. Nick Webb: I think Blazenwing should move! Shelley springboards off the middle rope and backwards, crashing onto Campbell as he turns mid-‐air with a crossbody. The fans cheer Shelley on as both men are slow to get to their feet as they crashed just feet from Blazenwing. Blazenwing gets to his feet and calls over to Campbell to get up. The referee begins a count inside the ring and is up to three. Nick Webb: Shelley may have tweaked his knee as he came down on that landing. Rayne: I think it hit the mat hard. A replay shows that Shelley’s knee whipped right into the mat as he came crashing onto Campbell. Shelley gets to his feet and tries to walk it off a few feet from Campbell. He turns back to Campbell who charges and tackles him into the barricade. The referee’s count has reached six as Campbell sets Shelley up for a powerbomb. Shelley is lifted into the air but is able to push off and flip backwards to his feet. Shelley lands a quick kick before using the barricade to perform a tornado DDT. The fans buzzing as he hurries to his feet. Shelley rushes the ring as the referee has made it to nine but he’s tripped by Blazenwing and the referee makes it to ten. DING DING DING!!! Nick Webb: Uh... we have a draw? The referee calls over Scott Benjamin and sorts out the ending and calls for the draw. Both Corlen and Blazenwing are yelling at the referee, Corlen calling for Blazenwing’s trip and Blazenwing saying that Shelley should be disqualified for not trying to get back in the ring. Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, due to a double count-‐out, this match has been officially ruled a... Before Benjamin can finish, “Dangerous” by Roxette cues up and Jen Corlen comes rushing to the stage with a microphone in hand. Her music quickly cuts as she starts to speak over it. Jen Corlen: We certainly can’t have this happening, can we? This is WRESTLEFEST!!! These fans here deserve a winner and I'm ready to find out who my replacement is TONIGHT... so, we’re going to restart this match as a no count out, no disqualification, there must be a winner match! The crowd loves the announcement as Shelley has made his way back inside of the ring and Campbell is talking to Blazenwing. Shelley turns to Corlen and gives her a thumbs up. Nick Webb: This one isn’t over yet folks! Rayne: THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE! DING! Campbell slides into the ring as the two men begin to circle each other again. Shelley rushes at Campbell and looks for a jumping forearm that Campbell ducks. Shelley hits the ropes and keeps charging at Campbell. Shelley jumps again and this time gets flapjacked for his efforts. Shelley hits the mat and walks right into a bear hug from Campbell. Campbell squeezes Shelley and swings him around a bit. Shelley is to a knee as he struggles to get free of Campbell’s grip. Campbell pulls Shelley back to his feet and drives him to the mat with a belly to belly suplex. Campbell gets to his feet and drops down with an elbow across the chest of Shelley. Campbell stands back up and flexes for everyone before landing another elbow onto Shelley. The PWNstar stands back up and smiles takes a few steps backwards. He takes a few quick steps forward and jumps up for a splash but Shelley gets his knees up and right into the gut of Campbell. Nick Webb: The awareness of Shelley showing there. Rayne: You still have to be impressed with Campbell here tonight. This is just adding to the list of good showings that he’s had since returning to the BWF. Shelley pulls Campbell to his feet and sends him into the corner with a whip. Shelley charges and hits a big splash in the corner and shakes his leg as his knee locks up. Campbell staggers out of the corner as Shelley climbs the turnbuckle to the top rope. He measures Campbell up for the top rope bulldog but as he jumps Campbell catches him right out of the air and turns it into a powerslam. He grabs the leg of Shelley and hooks it for a pin. 1! 2! Kickout! Shelley pops his shoulder up as Campbell wastes no time and pulls him to his feet. Blazenwing is looking around on the outside of the ring and folds up his chair and tosses it in the ring for Campbell. Campbell uses his foot to put the chair in the middle of the ring and lifts Shelley high for a powerbomb and drops him right onto the chair as Corlen is fuming outside of the ring. Campbell makes the cover. 1! 2! Kickout! Rayne: There’s the never quit by Shelley. You have to admit though that it sure was smart by Blazenwing to use the change in the match rules to help Campbell. Campbell grabs the chair and swings it down at the knee of Shelley but Shelley is able to roll out of the way just in time and get to his feet. Campbell lifts the chair but Shelley charges and dropkicks it right into his face and Campbell falls backwards! The fans roar as Shelley covers. 1! 2! Kickout! Shelley runs his fingers through his hair and away from his face as he stands on his feet. He starts to grin as he falls to the mat and rolls out before beginning to look under the ring. Nick Webb: Do you think he’s looking for what I think he’s looking for? Rayne: Anything can happen at WrestleFest! Indeed, Shelley pulls out a red, white, and blue Singapore cane as the crowd cheers and Blazenwing makes his way over to Shelley to stop him. Shelley points it at Blazenwing and tells him to back off. Corlen stands behind Shelley and tells him to do it. Blazenwing distracts Shelley as Campbell baseball slides right into Shelley who goes sideways into the barricade. Campbell gets out of the ring and grabs Shelley before whipping him hard into the steel steps. Campbell charges and goes to drive his foot into Shelley’s head that’s placed against the steps but Shelley moves. Campbell crashes hard into the steps and trips over them. Shelley grabs the Singapore cane and as Campbell gets back up, cracks it across his back. Campbell arches in pain before trying to get back into the ring and away from Shelley. Shelley follows in after him and swings at Campbell and just misses him as he backs away. Shelley goes for another shot but Campbell grabs the cane and pulls Shelley towards him using it and drops him with a clothesline. Rayne: Back and forth, back and forth. Campbell throws the cane out of the ring and calls for it to be over. He gets down on his knees and waits for Shelley to get up. Shelley gets up and Campbell looks for the PWN (Point blank spear) but Shelley swings a leg up and kicks him to break it up. Campbell grabs his face and spins away and Shelley jumps up and drops him with the Fallout (Zig Zag)! He hurries into a cover! 1! 2! Kickout! Shelley can’t believe it and neither can the fans. Blazenwing grabs his chest and takes a few deep breaths as he pounds the mat from the outside to rally Campbell. Corlen cheers Shelley on to keep it up. Shelley starts clapping and the fans follow suit, slow and building faster. Shelley grabs Campbell as he’s on a knee and sets him up for the Junk Yard Jam (Pedigree) but Campbell flips him up and over his back. Nick Webb: Still fight left in Campbell. Shelley rolls to his feet and he’s hit the PWNed (Point Blank Spear)! Shelley goes flying backwards and hits the mat and rolls right out of the ring. Campbell rests on a knee as he sees Shelley not moving on the outside of the ring. Blazenwing looks down at Shelley and tells Campbell to get him. Campbell tells Blazenwing to toss him in the ring and the referee tells him to back up. Corlen comes walking around the ring with Shelley’s Singapore cane in her hand and Blazenwing backs up. Rayne: I KNOW it's Emily Corlen, she knows how to take care of herself, but... CAREFUL, WOMAN! You're with child! Don't get involved if you don't want that to change! Campbell slides out of the ring and pulls the fallen Shelley up and rolls him into the ring. He climbs back in and lays across for the cover. 1! 2! Kickout! No one in the arena can quite believe it as Shelley just gets his shoulder up but is clearly drained. Campbell pulls Shelley to his feet and sets him up near the chair that’s still in the ring. He looks for a gutwrench powerbomb but Shelley holds onto the side of Campbell to block it. Shelley gets a little separation and hits a drop toe hold on Campbell who goes face first into the chair. He’s slow to get up and Shelley uses it to regroup. Campbell gets to his feet and turns into Shelley who lifts him onto his shoulders. Shelley screams a primal roar and hits the reVolt (Cradle Shock) right onto the chair! Shelley covers, Blazenwing is white as a sheet and Corlen is almost shaking in anticipation as the referee drops to count! 1! 2! 3! DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... GABE SHELLEY!!! Therefore, your victor in the Battle for Full Control of BWF... EMILY CORLEN!!! "In Fate's Hands" starts playing and Blazenwing looks on in disbelief as Corlen has jumped to her feet and gingerly climbs up the steel steps. Shelley sits on his butt and looks around as the crowd cheers loudly for his win. He smiles as he pats Campbell on the chest out of respect before standing up. Gabe then hugs Corlen who has made her way into the ring and lifts her hand. Shelley reaches into his boot and pulls out a black sharpie and walks over to the corner camera and signs his name on it. Nick Webb: What an unbelievable match -‐ and it ends by taking us back to the beginning of our relaunch earlier this year... Emily Corlen is back in sole control of the company! Rayne: What do you think she's going to call herself? General Manager? Commissioner? Owner? President? C.E.O.? Nick Webb: I have a feeling we'll find that out soon enough. But for now... oh, hang on! Look! The music stops as we see that David Blazenwing has entered the ring. Casey has made it to his feet and is leaning against the ropes. Gabe instinctually steps between Blazenwing and Corlen to protect her, but Emily rests a hand on his shoulder and tells him it's alright. Gabe hesitates, but steps aside, leaving Emily to step forward and come face to face with Dave. They have a few words before, unexpectedly, Blazenwing smiles and pulls Emily in for a big, giant hug! The crowd cheers at this display as Blazenwing raises Emily's arm in victory. Rayne: I'll say this about Dave. He's a snake in the grass, but he still knows when the time is right to show respect. Tonight, the torch has been passed. The man who created the BWF has given his blessing to the woman who will take the company into the next decade. This will -‐ HEY! Rayne's profound words are interrupted as, without warning, Blazenwing rears back and nails Casey Campbell with the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music)! The crowd can't help but cheer as Blazenwing smirks, and then rolls out of the ring. He heads up the ramp and shakes his head, chuckling as Gabe and Emily look at one another in the ring and shrug. They begin celebrating some more as "In Fate's Hands" starts playing across the BlazenTron once again! Nick Webb: Some things never change. (Laughs) Folks, this night's not over yet! Coming up next, it's time for us to crown a new Undisputed BWF World Champion! AJ Adams! Elena Simonova! Outlaw! Who's going to leave Houston with the gold? Don't move a muscle -‐ the main event of WrestleFest VII is NEXT! Making Memories We cut to the backstage area as Austin Scott is being tended to by a doctor, wrapping an ice pack around his knee. Don McMichael comes into the room and Scott looks up. Austin Scott: Don! Sorry if I don’t stand for ya at the moment. Gotta let the doc do his thing. What can I do for ya, partner?” Scott lets the doctor wrap his leg as McMichael comes closer. Don McMichael: Well I’d love to get your thoughts on tonight’s match and how you’re feeling about the win. Scott smiles and pats the International Championship sitting beside him. Austin Scott: It was exciting to be in front of all those fans and even more so since we won. I don’t think I could even describe how great it was, Don. Ms. Cooper and I went out there and not only did our best but we gave ourselves a memory that’ll last forever. Our first WrestleFest was a big ol' success. Don McMichael: What do you think is next for you? Austin Scott takes a few moments to think it over and finally just gives a shrug. Austin Scott: I couldn’t tell ya. It’ll be up to the people in charge I suppose. I’m going to keep showing up and wrestling, fighting, and winning. Before he can say anything else the door swings open and Zoe Cooper steps into the room and Austin Scott jumps to his feet. They both smile real big and she runs at him, Sovereign Title in hand, and jumps at him and wraps her arms around him. Zoe Cooper: We won! I knew we could do it, Austin. The two hug for a few moments before Scott puts her down, the two slightly blushing and smiling. Austin Scott: It was a pleasure to team with you again, Ms. Cooper. She playfully hits him on the shoulder and grins. Zoe Cooper: Oh, stop that. You know you can call me Zoe. She puts her title beside his and McMichael lets himself out as the camera follows. DING DING DING!!! Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for your WRESTLEFEST VII MAIN EVENT! The following contest, scheduled for ONE fall, is a Championship Unification Match between the Havok World Championship and Crisis World Championship! The winner of this match will be crowned the Undisputed BWF World Champion! In addition, if AJ Adams does not win this match, his BWF career is over. There’s a quiet throughout the arena but that changes as “Lights Out” by P.O.D. cues up throughout the arena and the Houston fans rise to their feet and cheer for one of the biggest pops of the night. The lights flash blue as spotlights flash around the arena. AJ Adams comes out onto the stage to the cheers and looks around the stage and the crowd, taking it all in. Respect I earned, started with the clique that I hanged Respect I earned, ever since i got in this game. Respect I earned, never wanting fortune or fame Adams stands at the top of the ramp and points up to the sky. Chiggy-‐check, microphone check Chiggy-‐check, microphone check It's Lights Out, Game Over At “lights out”, AJ Adams pumps his arms and screams it with the song as a big pop of pyro goes off. He hops and as he throws his arms out and takes in the fans on the ramp. He high fives a few of them and finally makes it to the ring. He jumps to the apron and climbs to the middle turnbuckle and takes off his shirt before tossing it into the crowd. He jumps into the ring and shakes his head a few times and uses the top rope to stretch his arms and legs. Nick Webb: Could this be the last time we see AJ Adams inside a BWF ring? If he loses tonight, he not only doesn’t become the BWF World Champion, but he’ll lose his job. Rayne, you’ve been a huge AJ supporter this year... thoughts? Rayne: The guy can’t be 100%, but he’s defied the odds more than once here in the BWF. Nick Webb: Do you think he’ll walk away here tonight with his job and the Undisputed BWF World Championship? Rayne: No comment. “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up)" by Fall Out Boy hits and plays throughout the arena as the fans give a largely mixed reaction for Elena Simonova, mostly boos filling the arena. Oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa Oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa The music stops as the lights go out for a few moments. The arena turns red after a large burst of pyro fills the stage and the song queues back up. So light 'em up, up, up Light 'em up, up, up Light 'em up, up, up I'm on fire Elena Simonova is crouched on a knee on the middle of the stage with the Crisis World Championship around her waist, her back to the crowd. Red and white lights begin to spin and search around the arena as she stands, spinning to the ring, and a cascade of red pyro falls behind her. Rayne: Elena Simonova saying recently that she "is the BWF" and she’s going to be looking to prove those words here tonight. Writers keep writing what they write Somewhere another pretty vein just died I've got the scars from tomorrow and I wish you could see That you’re the antidote to everything except for me, me Elena makes her way down the ramp, blowing past everyone amidst the boos as she jumps to the apron and takes the title off from her waist. She leans her back against the ropes and flips back and into the ring. She poses with the championship as AJ Adams watches on. Nick Webb: Elena finds herself as one of two World Champions here in the BWF and tonight it’s all about finding out who’s the best. Rayne: THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE! Nick Webb: Didn’t you use that joke earlier? Rayne: Does it make it any less true? There’s a large surge of boos as “Sick of It” by Skillet begins to play throughout the arena as the lights flash red with spotlights pointed to the entrance. Outlaw walks out to the stage around the :15 mark with no one on his flank tonight other than the Havok World Title around his waist. Rayne: These fans in Houston do not like Outlaw. He should have brought Kelly O’Shea to try and butter them up some. Nick Webb: I don’t think he minds it too much. He looks to the side and out to the crowd as he puts a hand up and follows it by making his way to the ring. Outlaw slowly walks down the ramp with his hands on either side of the main plate of the Havok World Title. Are you sick of it? Raise your hands Get rid of it! While there's a fighting chance Are you over it? Bored to death? Have you had enough regret? Take a stand, raise your hands... He slides under the ropes with a little jog and runs off the ropes a few times before popping up to the second turnbuckle. Outlaw takes off his leather jacket and tosses it to the floor as he pops back down and walks to the other side of the apron and climbs to the second turnbuckle again and shows of the Havok World title. He jumps into the ring, landing on his feet as his music dies down and the crowd is on the edge of their seats ready for the match. Scott Benjamin: Introducing first, he hails from Los Angeles, California... weighing in tonight at 176 pounds... AJ ADAMS!!! The crowd cheers as Adams pops up to the second rope and balances himself as he looks out to the fans. Adams reaches for the sky with both hands before motioning for the title around his waist. Scott Benjamin: Second, she is the current and reigning Crisis World Champion... she hails from New York City... weighing in tonight at 115 pounds... ELENA SIMONOVA!!! The fans boo mildly as Simonova holds the Crisis World title above her head for a moment before looking at both Adams and Outlaw. Scott Benjamin: And finally, he is the current and reigning Havok World Champion... he hails from Columbus, Ohio... weighing in tonight at 212 pounds... OUTLAW!!! Outlaw leans against the turnbuckle before putting the title over his shoulder and patting it. Elena and Outlaw hand their championships to the referee. He holds the title up to each side of the ring before handing them off and the bell sounds to start the match. Nick Webb: Here we go, ladies and gentlemen. This one is for the biggest bragging rights in the BWF. It's time to crown a new Undisputed World Champion! DING! The three competitors look around the ring at each other as the crowd roars. AJ Adams charges and takes down Outlaw with a hard forearm before turning and rocking Elena with a hard shot. Adams begins to throw lefts and rights at Elena before pushing her backwards into the corner. He turns back around and drops a charging Outlaw with a clothesline. Outlaw pops right back up and steps forward into a back body drop from Adams. Adams pumps his arms before turning back towards Elena. He whips her across the ring and into the opposite turnbuckle. Adams charges and connects with a hard clothesline that forces Elena to stagger out of the ring. Adams jumps to the second turnbuckle as Elena turns around and is able to take her down with a dropkick. Nick Webb: AJ Adams on an early roll here tonight. Rayne: He has a lot on the line and he’s not about to just go quietly. Adams gets to his feet and Outlaw has pulled himself up and the two competitors quickly lock up. Adams applies a side headlock and wrenches the neck of Outlaw. Outlaw flips Adams backwards with a back drop but he lands on his feet. Outlaw looks up and is rocked with a running double axe handle smash by Elena Simonova. Simonova turns back to Adams and the two of them quickly lock up. Elena drives a knee into the gut of Adams and follows it up with a kick to the side of the leg. Adams goes to grab Elena but she grabs his right arm and put him in a hammerlock using it. She applies pressure on Adams’ shoulder and pushes him to a knee. Nick Webb: Elena Simonova attacking that injured right shoulder of AJ Adams. Outlaw drives an elbow into the shoulder of Adams as Elena holds his arm out as the two work together briefly. Adams is able to pull himself away and slips out of the ring to recover. Outlaw and Elena lock up and start to exchange shots. Outlaw pops Elena with an elbow to the face and a kick to the gut which is followed up with a suplex in the middle of the ring. Outlaw pulls Elena to her feet and is quick to spin her around and takes her down with a falling reverse DDT. He pops back to his feet and charges the ropes, springboards, and hits a lionsault and covers for a pin. 1! 2! Kickout right after two. Elena pops up and ducks under a clothesline, Outlaw stops and quickly turns and gets a hard kick to the knee. He loses his balance and takes a knee and gets a kick to the side of the head as he falls backwards. Nick Webb: What a shot! Rayne: That was a vicious kick. AJ Adams has returned to the ring and stands on the top ropes as Elena turns around and gets a cross body. Adams rolls to his feet and grabs Elena as she pops to hers and quickly grabs her and drives her into the mat with a T-‐bone suplex. Adams rolls to the legs of Elena grabs her ankle, turns her over, and applies an anklelock in the middle of the ring. Elena fights and eventually is able to push herself up and get her other foot under her. She rolls forward and away from Adams who’s waiting for her when she gets up and turns around, taking her right back down with a belly to belly. Adams gets to his feet and Outlaw meet him with a few left and right jabs. Outlaw sends Adams off the ropes and meets him with a Samoan drop. Outlaw rises and is met with a standing dropkick by Elena. Elena stomps on the right knee of Outlaw multiple times before jumping up and driving her boot into it hard. Outlaw rolls away and to his feet and into the corner. Elena charges and hits the 200 Proof (lifting knee into a monkey flip). She hurries to the top rope and Outlaw gets to his feet and turns right into a dragonrana as the crowd pops! 1! 2! Adams is there to break it up. Rayne: Not so fast! Adams pulls Elena up to her feet and she stands to drive knees into his gut. She hits a series of five that seem to take a lot of air out of Adams. He finally blocks one and gathers her up and flips her around with a capture suplex. Adams pulls her up and readies her and delivers a suplex and hooks his arm to her and pulls her back up for a second and connects. He spins himself and pulls her up with him and lifts for a third as the fans love it. After he connects with a third suplex he stands above Elena who is out of it. He lifts her back up and grabs her from behind and connects with a German suplex. Nick Webb: AJ Adams with a series of suplexes here to really gain the upper hand. Adams rolls his shoulder as he feels the effects of the suplex a bit himself and doesn’t see Outlaw springboarding off the ropes and gets kicked right in the side of the head. Outlaw climbs to the apron and hits a slingshot elbow drop on Adams before making a cover. 1! 2! Kickout by Adams. Elena is starting to collect herself as Adams gets to his feet and locks up with Outlaw. Adams looks for a hip toss but Outlaw blocks it and spins Adams to the mat using his bad arm and shoulder and locks in the Harsh Punishment (Border City Stretch) and Adams is in pain. Adams tries to reach the ropes but Outlaw has him too far away. He starts to pull himself to them slowly before Elena can finally get to her feet and she breaks up the submission to the delight of the fans. She stomps a few more times on Outlaw before she grabs his legs and tries to put him in the Arm of the Kremlin (Haas of Pain) but Outlaw is able to slip away. Outlaw rolls to his feet and looks for a clothesline. Elena ducks it and is able to apply a sleeper hold. Outlaw flails around and drives his elbow into the gut of Elena and break away. Outlaw turns and tries to stiff arm Elena but she’s able to use Outlaw’s extended arm and explodes with the Reverse Psychology (C4) and follows it up with a cover. 1! 2! Adams breaks it up. Nick Webb: That’s twice now that Adams has potentially saved this match. Rayne: Elena is rolling, though! Outlaw rolls to the outside of the ring as AJ Adams keeps taking Elena Simonova down with short-‐arm clotheslines and she keeps getting to her feet. After the fourth, Adams lifts her with a back body drop and comes off the ropes to follow it up with a leg drop. Adams looks around the ring and sees Outlaw still outside as he’s recouping. Adams starts to smile as the crowd cheers. He runs off the far ropes and back towards Outlaw and launches himself up over the top rope with a big splash. The crowd roars as Adams slowly gets to his feet and slides back into the ring. Elena is back to her feet and surprises Adams with a spear into the corner. Adams tries to fight back with hard shots but Elena whips him across the ring to the opposite turnbuckle. Adams stops himself and turns around to give Elena a boot to the face. She stumbles around and turns right into Adams. He pulls her close and lowers her as if he’s dipping her, spins backwards and drives her face first into the mat (Sister Abigail) and the crowd loves it. Rayne: What was that? Nick Webb: I’m told that Adams calls that the Legacy Maker. Adams dives into a cover as the crowd counts along. 1! 2! Outlaw pulls Adams off from outside the ring and the crowd starts to boo. Nick Webb: That might have been it! Outlaw pulls Adams all the way to the outside of the ring and tosses him shoulder first into the steel steps as the crowd continues to boo. Outlaw slides into the ring and covers Elena. 1! 2! Elena kicks out. Outlaw pulls Elena to her feet and locks up with her in the middle of the ring. Before Outlaw can do anything Elena falls and pulls him down as she attempts a small package pin. 1! 2! Kickout! Outlaw pops up to his feet and Elena rises to hers. The two lock up and Outlaw is able to send her off the ropes and drop her with the Lock Up (Black Hole Slam) on her return. Outlaw runs to the turnbuckle and jumps to the top. Adams is on the apron and pushes Outlaw off and into the ring. Adams climbs up to the top and waits as both Elena and Outlaw are getting to their feet. Adams dives and is able to dive and crossbody both competitors. Nick Webb: Back and forth action as no one can seem to keep the advantage. All three competitors are slow to get to their feet and all look at each other. Outlaw strikes first as he blasts Adams with a hard right but then gets hit with a kick to the side from Elena. Adams dropkicks Elena and then gets taken down with a clothesline from Outlaw as he gets up. Outlaw pulls Elena up but gets sent over to top rope. Outlaw lands on the apron and hits a shoulder to her gut as she turns around. He jumps over the ropes and is in perfect position for the Breaking the Law (Canadian Destroyer) but Elena lifts him backwards over her. Outlaw crashes to the mat as Elena turns her attention to Adams and charges with a running double axe handle. Adams turns to his knees and gets leveled with a kick to the side of the head as Elena completes the Hammer and Sickle. Elena turns her attention to Outlaw and grabs him and eventually locks in the Iron Curtain (Octopus Stretch) in the middle of the ring. Nick Webb: Will Outlaw tap out!? Outlaw tries to slowly walk to the ropes but starts to lose his balance and falls backwards and Elena is on her back! 1! 2! Kickout! Elena lets go of the hold so she can stop the pin attempt as the crowd buzzes. Rayne: Elena had to let go because she was pinned under Outlaw. How crazy would that have been if Outlaw got the win right there? Nick Webb: It would have been one of the more odd pins in recent history. Certainly a memorable end to WrestleFest! Elena is back on her feet as Outlaw is still slow to get to his feet so she turns towards AJ Adams who is back to his. Adams and Elena lock up and she’s able to wrestle him down by his arm and apply an armbar to his right arm. Adams rolls and pulls Elena to her feet and looks for a hip toss. Elena lands on her feet and ducks under a clothesline and spins Adams around. He swings her around for a neckbreaker but she’s able to spin out and turns Adams around for a full nelson. He leans forward and flips her forward and she lands on her feet. Elena looks for a spinning heel kick that Adams ducks and pushes her backwards and she does a roll and back up to her feet. Outlaw is up again and gets rocked with a superkick from Elena as the crowd didn’t see it coming. Elena turns to Adams and she slips behind him and hits a backbreaker. Nick Webb: What a series there. Elena is back to her feet and Outlaw is slow to get to his. Elena stalks around him before AJ Adams sneaks up behind her and locks in the Lights Out (Tazmission) and the crowd goes wild. Adams has the hold locked in tight in the middle of the ring and applies a grapevine as he falls for good measure. Elena can’t roll Adams over so she can attempt to grab the ropes but refuses to tap. Outlaw dives onto Adams and breaks the hold. Rayne: I don’t know if Elena was going to tap but there was no way the referee was going to let that go much longer. Outlaw pulls Adams back up and but Adams tries to lift him for a side slam but Outlaw reverses it and drops him with the Unlawful (Tilt a Whirl DDT). Outlaw is slow to crawl over to Adams and can’t make it before Elena has made it back to her feet as well. The two lock up and Elena hits an elbow on Outlaw. Outlaw comes right back with a headbutt. Elena hits an European uppercut that sends Outlaw falling backwards and into the ropes. He staggers forward and gets it with a flapjack. Elena applies another Arm of the Kremlin on Outlaw as he refuses to submit to the referee. Adams is starting to stir and shakes the cobwebs off and breaks up the submission. Elena rolls to her feet and ducks a running forearm from Adams. She charges off the ropes and runs right into a flapjack that Adams turns into a cutter. Outlaw is back to his feet and tries to springboard towards AJ Adams but gets caught with the Last Call (Codebreaker)! Adams is down as he landed oddly on his shoulder and tries to make it to Outlaw. He crawls into the cover, slower than he would like due to his shoulder, unable to manage hooking a leg. 1! 2! Kickout! Nick Webb: Ooh! Without a hooked leg, Outlaw is barely able to kick out! That could have been it right there! AJ Adams slowly pulls himself to his feet, still favoring his shoulder. Elena, who has recovered, runs at him and aims a clothesline, but Adams sees her and ducks, leaving Elena to collide with the referee! She stumbles back and, for the second time, Adams connects with a Last Call, this time to Elena! He covers much quicker this time, but there's no referee to count the finish! Rayne: Oof, now THAT'S bad luck! AJ shakes his head as he slowly stands up. Both Outlaw and Elena are still down as AJ tries in vain to rouse the KO'ed referee. The crowd suddenly comes to life and it's clear why a moment later -‐ the new head of the BWF, Emily Corlen, has made her way to the stage with a second referee! She tells the ref to go, and he runs down to the ring, sliding inside just in time for Adams to get rolled up by Outlaw! 1! 2! Kickout! At the last second, Adams kicks out of the school boy! Both he and Outlaw reach their feet and start brawling, each one jockeying for position. Adams gains control and tries to lift Outlaw with a full nelson slam, but before he can, Outlaw counters out of it into an attempted cutter! AJ shoves Outlaw off out of instinct, pushing him into the second referee! The sound of skulls cracking against one another can be heard as both Outlaw and the ref go down hard. AJ leans against the ropes, still regaining his senses, as Emily loudly exclaims "OH, COME ON!" on the stage. Nick Webb: Our fearless leader is not happy right now. Rayne: I think we might be out of referees! HA! Back in the ring, AJ pulls Outlaw to his feet and starts to set him up for something big, but before he can get Outlaw in position, the Havok World Champion DDTs Adams! Shaking the cobwebs loose, he DDTs a rising Elena before turning his attention back to AJ. A swift kick and a spin later, AJ's caught Breaking the Law (Canadian Destroyer) and Outlaw covers, only to realize there's no ref! Nick Webb: Elena's down! AJ's not moving! Outlaw has this match won now! Someone do something! Rayne: Hang on, what the HELL does Corlen think she's doing?! The crowd can't believe it, but the six months pregnant head of the BWF is carefully making her way down to the ring with a look of determination on her face normally reserved for opponents of the Queen of Professional Wrestling! With Outlaw still covering Adams, Emily carefully makes her way up the steps and into the ring before she gingerly kneels down and starts to count the pinfall herself! 1! 2! Thr-‐NO! At the last possible millisecond, AJ Adams kicks out and the crowd goes wild! Nick Webb: Someone get Emily out of that ring, NOW! Indeed, Outlaw has stood up, and he doesn't look happy. AJ rolls out of the ring to escape another pin attempt and Emily uses the ropes to pull herself back to her feet, only to find Outlaw backing her into the corner. For the first time in her life, she looks genuinely terrified as Outlaw seethes, convinced that Emily just cost him the biggest win of his career. He looks as though he's about to strike Emily and the crowd shouts in protest -‐ but whether or not Outlaw was going to take a shot, we'll never find out, because a newly regenerated Elena Simonova comes up from behind him and kicks him as hard as she can in the testicles! She goes nuts, protecting her good friend (and her brother's unborn child) from harm, leveling Outlaw with several nasty shots and finishing it up with another Reverse Psychology (C4)! She covers Outlaw and Emily kneels down carefully to count once again as AJ recovers on the outside of the ring! 1! AJ hears the count and turns around! 2! AJ realizes what's happening and dives into the ring! 3! DING DING DING!!! AJ barely misses breaking up the pin and drops his head to the mat, pounding it in frustration. Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner... and the NEW Undisputed BWF World Champion... ELENA... SIMONOVA!!! “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up)" by Fall Out Boy hits as Elena stands up. She can hardly believe it as the timekeeper rolls into the ring and hands both the Havok and Crisis World Titles to Elena. Outlaw is still down on the mat and AJ hasn't moved, shaking his head against the mat as Emily slowly stands up and raises Elena's arm in victory. The crowd seems mixed, disappointed that their chosen favorite, AJ Adams, didn't win, yet still showing respect to the newly crowned Undisputed World Champion. Nick Webb: Well, it was far from a conventional ending, but, we have a new Undisputed BWF World Champion! Elena Simonova has won the main event of WrestleFest VII! Rayne: Does that count? I mean, Emily's not a referee. Nick Webb: She has all the power, Rayne. Who's going to disagree with her? Rayne: Maybe, but I don't know. Outlaw's gunning to victory, suddenly, Emily's the referee and now Elena's the Champion? It looks fishy if you ask me. Nick Webb: I didn't ask you. Emily did what needed to be done. Had the first two referees not been knocked out, she wouldn't have needed to get involved at all. Honestly, she shouldn't have, but only because of her condition. I don't imagine Nikolai Simonova is going to be very happy with his baby mama's actions once she heads back through the curtain. Rayne: The next episode of Havok is going to be very interesting. I imagine the new head of BWF will have a lot to answer for after getting involved like this. In the ring, Outlaw has already left the scene, slinking out of the ring while Elena celebrated. AJ says something inaudibly to Elena and nods at her, but doesn't shake her hand as he leaves, dejected and, now, unemployed. Elena continues to celebrate, holding both Championship belts high above her head as pyro goes off on the stage and above the ring, and confetti begins falling from the ceiling. Nick Webb: What a night, ladies and gentlemen! We have a new Undisputed BWF World Champion and one sole person in power in the BWF, not to mention all of the other amazing matches we witnessed here tonight! Couple that with the events of this past weekend, and I say we had ourselves one hell of an unforgettable WrestleFest! Rayne: There's no doubt about that, Nick! Like always, people are going to be talking about this year's WrestleFest for years to come, there's no doubt about that! Nick Webb: You're absolutely right, Rayne! Folks, thank you so much for allowing us into your homes this evening for this historic event. For Rayne, I'm Nick Webb... good night from the Reliant Stadium! Good night from Houston, Texas! Good night from WrestleFest VII! We see one final shot of Elena Simonova celebrating with the Havok World Title in one hand and the Crisis World Title in the other as WrestleFest VII fades to the BWF logo, and then to black. © Blazenwing Wrestling Federation 2013 QUICK RESULTS Kirlia Gardevoir & Starla Gardevoir won Tag Team Turmoil Elena Simonova & Zoe Cooper def.
