The Community Futures Development Corporation of Central Interior
First Nations promotes and provides community economic development
services to Aboriginal people within central interior of British Columbia.
The service area includes Thompson-Shuswap-Nicola-Fraser
Canyon– Lillooet– North Okanagan area. We provide services to the
Aboriginal people, groups or businesses both on and off reserves as
well as urban and rural settings. The board of directors and staff will
direct it’s attention to both the starting and strengthening of native
business development as well as preparation of our people for the labour market. While there are other community futures development
corporations in the geographical area described to serve the public at
large, we serve only the Aboriginal people. The special focus on Aboriginal people and their specific needs allows the board and staff to work
with economic development that are unique to the needs of our native
community.
The CFDC of Central Interior First Nations is an active participant in the
development of sustainable communities for all our Aboriginal people
in the Central Interior. The concept of community economic development exceeds business development and training. We will, at your
request and in partnership with you, assist in activities directly related
to community economic development.
