Student Workbook includes all new and updated activities that provide students with real-world, hands-on practice activities and projects to help them become proficient users of Microsoft Access. Using Access It!, students will create real-life, teen-based databases to further develop and enrich their Microsoft Access software skills. Each project has been organized in an easy-to-read, selfguided, step-by-step format and is set up to become more difficult as students progress through the book. Completing the activities in this book will prepare students for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Access. Prerequisite Skills Required In order to complete the activities in this book, the student should have a basic working knowledge of using Microsoft Access. This book does not provide step-by-step instructions specific to anyone particular version of Microsoft Access; rather, it provides general instructions for students to practice using any version of Microsoft Access. Compatibility The instructions have been written for any version of Microsoft Access running on a Windows operating system. However, with few modifications, this book can easily be used with Macintoshbased systems. Standards The skills in this book align with NBEA (National Business Education Association) and ISTE (International Society of Technology Education) information technology standards for databases. Organization of the Textbook The text is organized into a hierarchical skill-level format. With a few exceptions, most of the activities in this book build upon skills practiced in previous activities. ii Activity Layout ACTIVITY 1 New Skills Celebrity Addresses New Skills lists the new skill or skills being reinforced.
