Configuring for G120
Step 1: Double click on Hyper Terminal Icon
Step 2: Type in any name and Click OK.
Step 3: Select the COM port you are using at “Connect Using”
Step 4: Choose “19200” at Bits per Second
Step 5: Select “none” at Flow Control and Click OK.
Step 6: Turn ON G120 Modem
This picture will show.
Step7: Type “y” for yes to reconfigure.
Step 8: Type “19200” for Serial Baud rate and hit enter
Step 9: Enter “N” for “none” for Parity.
Step 10: Enter “5” for connection checking time.
(Note: 5 stands for 5 minutes, you can choose any time from 0 to 1440 minutes.)
Step11: Type “SUNSURF” for APN (Access Point Name)
Step 12: Enter the “Enter” key
Step 13: Enter the “Enter” key again.
Step 14: Enter “1” for IP (Internet Protocol) for Static.
Step 15: Type “192.168.104.169”
(This IP address can be found when you log in to putty and Type “ifconfig” under
PPP connection)
Step 16: Enter “1” for TCP (Transmission Control Protocol)
Step 17: Enter “8007” for Port Number.
Step 18: Check whether it is right setting you set. If is not, select “y” yes to
reconfigure.
(Note: Hit Enter if the things you have configure is correct.)
Mdbus
(For checking whether it can Transmit and Receive Data)
Step 1: Double Click on the Mdbus Icon
This picture will be shown.
Step 2: Select Configuration
Step 3: Select the Mode “Master or Slave”
(Note: this required 2 computer, one computer got to be Master and the other got to be
the slave in order to be connected. Both Mdbus got to be ON at the same time.)
Step 4: Click on the “ON” button
Step 5: Select “Display” and Click on “Monitor”

RX when connected
