Innovation on the move
GKN has over 100 years experience of outstanding engineering in the design and
manufacture of wheels. Continuous investment is undertaken in research, development
and testing in order to maintain the exceptional reputation for products and services.
The wheels produced can be used in the most challenging of environments and across
many different industry’s.
GKN Wheels manufacture a wide variety of rims
which are produced in a wide variety of countries.
Rim widths start at 4” and can be produced up to
36” wide. Diameters range from 12” to 63” and
the product range includes single piece and multi
piece wheels. Both round and square discs can
be manufactured along with the option between
making the discs fixed or adjustable, as well as the
ability to produce narrow and high speed wheels
for a wide range of machinery for industry’s such
as agricultural and construction including:
- Tractors and combine harvesters, irrigation,
sprayers, powered and trailed agricultural
machinery.
- Backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders, motor
graders, wheeled excavators, wheel loaders
and articulated dump trucks.
- Smaller diameter, lightweight wheels for
industrial telehandlers, harbour cranes rough
terrain lift trucks and forklift trucks.
- GKN Wheels also design and manufacture
wheels which can handle dual tyre arrangements.
The off highway market has changed at a rapid
pace and will continue to evolve, the current trend
in vehicle designs is towards higher payload
capacities, increased speed, lower vehicle weight,
lower emissions, greater fuel efficiency and ever
increasing technical specifications.
Working in partnership with leading OEM’s and
distributors on a truly global basis, GKN Wheels
supplies to OEM’s such as Caterpillar, Agco, Claas,
CNH, JCB, John Deere, Komatsu and Liugong As
well as many regional OE’s, integrators and
distributors. GKN Wheels works with each of its
customers at both a strategic and tactical level.
GKN’s headquarters are based in the UK with
manufacturing facilities in the UK, Italy, Denmark,
China and the USA. GKN Wheels also has leading
test facilities in Italy, the USA and China.
