Here at Trutex we are driven to do our best for children. Our commitment goes much further
than Made to Last Schoolwear, we believe we have a part to play in ensuring our world is a
better place for future generations. For this reason we have worked hard over recent years to
reduce our carbon footprint, and we are proud to be a Carbon Neutral Schoolwear provider.
Our journey to become Carbon Neutral
Our business has been through an extensive auditing program, undertaken by The Carbon Footprint Ltd in-line
with ISO14064 and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. It identified the amount of carbon we used as an organisation
over the last 12 months, including energy usage within our offices, delivery of our goods and business travel.
To offset these emissions Trutex have invested in a Verified Carbon Standard
(VCS) project: the Liaoning Landfill Gas Project based in China.
The project helps tackle climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions by
preventing gases produced from waste in landfill entering the atmosphere by turning
them into usable energy. It also offers social and environmental benefits to the local
community including environmental improvement to the city and the creation of jobs.

Trutex polyester twill blazers are manufactured
using our innovative re-vive blazer fabric, which is
made from certified 100% recycled post consumer
polyester yarns. This means our blazers are helping
towards protecting our planet for future generations.
This gives schools a sound eco-friendly choice in the
blazer they adopt as part of their uniform.
However, not all recycled fabrics are created equal.
Our re-vive blazer fabric is of the finest quality, so our

blazers not only look great, but are just as durable and
comfortable as they always have been. Only now they
are sustainable and help to reduce waste. So when you
