Teaching Experience
I have been invited as faculty on a cadaveric shoulder arthroscopy workshop to be held at
the Canterbury Christ Church University in January 2016.
Throughout my registrar training, I have taken an active interest in teaching. I have
delivered several lectures and seminars as part of formal teaching for foundation and core
trainees.
I taught on the annual Principles of Fracture Management Course held in Leicester from
2008 to 2010.
I helped in the delivery and assessment of a new undergraduate musculoskeletal
curriculum introduced in Leicester in 2006. We published the improvement in
performance of medical students in the JBJS.
I was a ‘Clinical Demonstrator’ at Leicester Medical School from February 2005 to
August 2005.
Management and Leadership Experience
I was the BOTA linkman for KSS from October 2013 to July 2015.
I attended a leadership and management skills course in April 2011.
During my research post, I managed the elective operating list for one of my consultants. I
also triaged the outpatient referrals to classify them as routine, soon and urgent.
I was responsible for managing the on call SHO/ PRHO rota during my orthopaedic
surgery SHO post at St. Thomas’ Hospital.
General Interests
I am a keen cricket player and organised the annual Leicester consultants vs. registrars
cricket match from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 onwards, I successfully introduced an
annual cricket match involving trainees and consultants from all the seven east midlands
deanery hospitals.

Career Aim
I aim to complete speciality training in all aspects of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery
and attain the certificate of completion of training. I want to subspecialise in shoulder
surgery and attend a reputed fellowship in trauma and elective soft tissue and arthroplasty
surgery. I wish to continue to build on my experience in research projects, especially in
the field of biomechanics.
