Misha Adair, Andrew Boyle, and Ahmet
Turkmenoglu met while earning their
master's degrees in Jazz Performance at the
University of Southern California and have
since gone on to become some of Southern
California’s most in-demand young
musicians.
Misha, Ahmet, and Andrew have performed
with artists such as:
Kristin Chenoweth, Bruce Forman, Peter
Erskine, Alan Pasqua, Otmaro Ruiz, The
Coasters, and JMSN
Lead by pianist and vocalist Misha Adair,
the Misha Adair Trio specializes in hardswinging, crowd-pleasing, straight-ahead
jazz and soul. With a repertoire of
standards and catchy originals, their
sound reflects the influence and legacy
of artists like Oscar Peterson, Ray
Charles, Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra,
Mose Allison, and Donny Hathaway. The
group’s witty and irreverent stage
presence belies their formidable
musicianship, beckoning all listeners to
enjoy the show.

cruise ships for two years where he kept a nocturnal
schedule, practicing throughout the night after
entertaining cruise guests. In 2012 Misha moved to LA to
earn his master’s degree at USC. There he recorded with
the Sophisticated Lady Jazz Quartet for Yarlung Records.

moved from Istanbul to Los Angeles in 2012 to earn his
Artist’s Diploma from USC. He soon began performing
and recording with USC’s renowned faculty and other
legendary Los Angeles musicians. In 2015 he was invited
to return to USC on full scholarship as a paid teaching
assistant while earning his master’s degree.

studied at USC under the legendary drummer Peter
Erskine, who praised him as “a major voice on the
instrument.” In addition to recording with the
Sophisticated Lady jazz quartet, he continues to play with
many of the LA’s greatest musical luminaries. In 2015 he
began touring internationally with JMSN.
