Yetta Gibson bio
Yetta Gibson
Yetta joined Arizona's Family in October 2010,
but she's been working in Phoenix TV for
almost a decade.
She started her career on the radio, doing
news cut-ins on the nationally syndicated "Tom
Joyner Morning Show." Yetta's worked at
several TV stations at across the country and
considers herself very fortunate to have lived in
wonderful cities like Las Vegas, where she still
has very strong ties.
Yetta has been in the news business for almost
20 years and has been a news and
entertainment reporter for FOX, NBC, and CBS
during her career. She's an Emmy-award winning journalist who loves telling great stories.
The best part of her job, she says is staying connected with the community everyday and trying
hard to make sure what's on the air informs, educates, inspires, and every now and then, give
viewers a good belly laugh.
Yetta, her husband, A.J., and their daughters, Slye and Jayla, are proud to call the Valley of the
Sun home.
Gibson says her three favorite things about the Valley are the winter weather (which rarely drops
below 70 degrees), the spas (in a word, "awesome") and the scenery (breathtaking mountain views
she can stare at all day long).
