Join us for a “wicket” good time learning how to play Golf Croquet while socializing with fellow Members! The game is less complex than traditional 6-wicket croquet and designed to be easily picked up by beginners while still requiring a great deal of skill and tactics making it challenging for expert players. Our resident croquet connoisseurs, John & Jennifer Joseph will lead the play ensuring fun for all! Equipment & instruction provided. Aquatics Penguin Mini Clinics September 4 - 28 Wednesdays / 5:00 - 5:45pm // Saturdays / 1:00 - 1:45pm For children 3 and up who would like to join the NACC swim team next season or who have participated in the swim team or junior team and are still developing as NACC penguins. This clinic will challenge your child and encourage them to become swim team ready. Fitness & Wellness 1st Annual “Foot” Ball Challenge Sunday, September 8 - Sunday, November 17 Football season has arrived! While your favorite team is competing on the field, NACC would like to invite you to compete in our 1st Annual “Foot” Ball Walking Challenge. How does it work? Well the more steps you take, the more opportunities you will have to win amazing prizes! Prizes include spa treatments, Clubhouse dining appetizers, Café treats, personal training sessions and tennis lessons. The grand prize is our NACC Tailgate Party Pack valued at $400 and is designed to fulfill your appetite for food and fun during the OSU vs. Michigan game with your friends and family on Saturday, November 30th. Drew Megimose, Fitness Attendant, will tabulate and post your progress weekly on a team display board located in the Fitness Center. You will also receive weekly “Foot” Ball news via email which will include a healthy tailgate food tip, an exercise or stretching spotlight and amazing walking facts such as “How many steps it takes to…” Registration opens Tuesday, September 3rd in the Fitness Center and the event start date is Sunday, September 8th. This challenge will run for 10 weeks with the final mileage count on Sunday, November 17th at 12:00pm. Registration is $30 and includes an NACC pedometer and team “Foot” Ball Challenge T-shirt. This challenge is all about you! Take a solo walk or grab a group of friends, break into teams and challenge each other to see how far you can walk in a week or all 10 weeks. The choices are endless! Fitness & Wellness Family Yoga Monday, September 2 / 1:00 - 1:45pm / Aerobics Room Yoga has been proven to have wonderful benefits for kids and adults. It increases strength, flexibility, coordination, self awareness and self-esteem. Yoga positions inspire creativity, as well as provide a sense of calmness and relaxation. Yoga philosophy encourages teamwork and teaches respect, compassion and sharing. This class presents an opportunity for kids to share time together with their parents, have fun with movement and become mindful of themselves and the world around them. This program will teach your child poise, discipline, commitment and fitness! Our Olympic Medalist trainers, John & Christina Rausch, have over 72 years of combined Martial Arts experience. They have taught in the Columbus, Ohio area since 1981, were the first instructors to introduce a Mixed Martial Arts approach to self-defense and also served as advisors for the first Ultimate Fighting Championship.
